Job Details:

With Ban Dhao taken care of in the east, the Azure Amazon soared with one of her wyvern's parting from her as they crossed the mountains, the soldier wyvern carried with it a letter for the Azure Raiders and the Tribe's leaders that were staying at her fortress. It was important to let them know what had happened and had sent the feather from Ban's helmet back with the letter to show she had been serious with her promises to them. It had been difficult for Ani to write the letter, but she still knew the muscle movements relatively well, and even if it wasn't a legible letter the bloody feather would send a potent enough message.

The next task was to take care of a monstrous beast that was messing with the pastoral and shepherding lifestyle of the tribes in the west. It was apparently some sort of horse-like creature that stood on its hind legs and apparently feasted on blood. Had she any working eyes the woman would've loved to gaze on such a creature, but I suppose picking up its corpse would suffice. However, she was a bit cautious about the entire situation, with a piece of the creature's fur Ani was tracking this creature back to its den and a beast was always more dangerous when cornered. As Dragot glided on the wind like her wings followed a predetermined path the wind wrapped around them both causing time to drift away as the scents and sounds of the world around her built an image inside of her head.

A mental map formed by the senses she could still enjoy this had become Ani's life ever since Gamigan and while every day it felt like it got clearer, it was still quite different. For a woman who spent a large portion of her time adventuring enjoying the sights it was a bit ironic, but there also came a sense of peace with it. Ani viewed the world in a way different than the others now and while it was her curse it was also very much her gift, it felt as if she enjoyed the feelings, the scents, and the sounds more than she ever did before.

"Sometimes when you're busy experiencing everything it becomes harder to appreciate each thing individually." Her comments to herself were a bad habit but speaking to her beasts, and to herself was the only form of therapy and relief the woman had for years. After so many years alone she had finally had people who waited at home for her, and she remembered why she did this.

As Ani got closer and closer to her destination she would soon find that she was rejoined with the wyvern she had sent to deliver a letter. Without any way to read letters, Ani would have to wait till she returned to her fortress after completing this job to figure out their reactions to her efforts. It made the woman begin to wonder if she should come up with some sort of method for a blind person such as herself to read messages, even better if it could be encrypted as well.

All three of the wyverns together now Ani moved them into a v-formation and as her speed started to pick up the wyverns behind her drafted as rainbow light overtook them all. Dragot had picked up on the scent and within a few moments, they were in a rapid pursuit as they rocketed through the sky in iridescent blinding speed.

In the grass below the squishing slurping sounds of a carnivore in feast caused the birds to scatter and cries of scared humans running in the distance. However, it was not a normal creature eating the corpse of a tewe, but instead, it was a blood horse, normally an omnivore that had gonna crazy from an unbalanced diet. It sat outside its den, a large mound of dirt seemingly dug and shaped by the creature. Its ears twitched as it picked up on something and then there was a sudden boom that shook the air as it suddenly realized what was happening as its eyes were flashed with a myriad of colors that trailed through the air straight towards it.

The terrifying call of the Wyvern Queen was blood-curdling and even the Blood-horse would find itself at shock as it noticed something was coming at it with rapid speed. However, the blood-thirsty creature was still hungry and it would not turn down a meal that seemed insistent on presenting itself before him. In a display of dominance, it charged in a blood rush charging towards Ani with its mouth wide open as it returned its cry.

Despite them flying at each other at max speed Ani's overtuned ears were quick to pick up on the war-cry of the other beast. As they were about to meet Ani tugged on the reins of the dragon and they turned to their side gliding right past it. With her body heated up from the thrill of combat and the adrenaline from the flight she was quick to take action as her mount immediately whipped around and stuck its talons into the dirt. With a hard skid, Ani suddenly bolted into a dash jumping off Dragot's back and continuing her charge towards the blood-horse.

The creature was also quick to respond as it hissed and growl at Ani turning back and entering a blood rush again but as he got close to Ani he would suddenly press his foot down and made a tail swipe at Ani. A smirk crossed the woman's face though as she suddenly leaped over the creature and was able to gain the advantage.

"We're doing this old-school!" Ani chuckled and before the beast could react she jumped forward tackling it from behind Ani would seemingly start a rodeo with the beast. However, even as it bucked and hissed it did not last for long as her arms squeezed around its throat and the sound of its wind-pipe crushing was only drowned out by its last cry and gasp for air as it spits up blood. With her hands held tight she gave one quick twist to snap the bones within and make sure that the creature stayed down.

With a death rattle that went on for a moment, she heard hear beasts coming up behind her ready to slice up and eat the beast. "Hey now, we need to bring back some of it as proof we did the job."

Dragot let out a small chirp and ripped off one of the creature's legs and started gobbling it up bone and all. Ani would then load the carcass onto one of her others and gave them each a slice of pork-belly from her own supplies hoping it would keep them away from their prize. With them settled she would whistle for them to start flying ahead while she sat down for a moment and let out a deep breath. Knowing that she would be able to catch up with them quickly she took this moment to rest and relax having been focused on her tasks so much she forgot to feed herself. With a half-loaf of bread, she had Ani ripped out enough to make a little crevice and ate what she ripped out. Then with her jerky and cheese from her bag, she stuffed it into the bread with some pickled radish-cumber she had in a jar for an occasional snack. A hand-held meal fit for a king, she took the time to enjoy her food shoving the stuffed bread into her stomach in a matter of moments.

Once her lunch was finished Ani pulled a drinking skin of wine and took a large drink, looking like she was dying of thirst. Ironically after she had finished drinking her win Ani pulled out a second skin, this one filled with water, and took a large sip from that one as well. "It's important to take a moment to enjoy the little things, you done chewing on that bone Dragot?"

As Ani beckoned her beast the creature would let out a series of chirps letting the tamer know that she was done with demolishing the leg she had ripped from the corpse. Dragot would move over towards Ani even nudging for her to get on, and the amazon would oblige with a soft chuckle as she took the reins and let out a loud whistle. Within a matter of moments, the wyvern took flight and the light of her rainbow wings would soon spread behind her as her speed picked up. Once again streaking through the sky this time all she could think of was her home and her child. Once someone who did only what made them feel good, Ani had spent all of her time recently doing the opposite. With her mind focused on completing her dreams she had become embroiled in work and was treating her times of rest like an oasis for her soul and mind.

"Well, there'll be plenty of time to rest soon enough." A soft chuckle left her lips as she spoke and soared off into the horizon towards her home, ready to let the tribal leaders that she had kept her promise and did it quicker than she thought she would.
