- The Copper Carafe Cafe:
- The Copper Carafe CafeDescription:
A small coffee house near the main gate of the city of Kemet. Above the door hands a sign painted with a carafe tipping into a steaming cup with the word "Cafe" burned in across the bottom. You enter through a door that faces south, and are greeted by a staggering array of sights scents and sounds. The shop area is decorated with several comfortable couches, squishy arm chairs, and the occasional pouf with tables large and small scattered throughout. Several tall broad leafed potted plants fill the spaces below the windows on the north wall. There is no cohesive style or color scheme only the sense that comfort over form or fashion was considered when purchasing the furnishings. There are a number of private rooms on the eastern wall where patrons might escape the noise and smoke of the always busy coffee house. There is also a long five faced bar against the kitchen wall where the hostess and owner Aasima pours out drinks, plates a wide array of baked goods, and takes payment. Two waitresses can be seen darting from table to table, never allowing a cup to be more than half empty except upon request. The staff is friendly, and quick to respond with a smile on their faces. Incense burns thick in the air, and mingles with the scent of freshly ground coffee beans and hookah pipes being smoked at a few of the tables. Often times musicians play, and set out hats cups or buckets to accept donations. A number of regulars can be seen at the establishment at nearly any time of dayNPCs
--Copper Carafe NPCs--
These NPCs are usable by anyone that chooses to RP in the Copper Carafe just let me know if you plan on doing anything serious with them. I won't mind just about anything I'd just like the chance to intervene or join in as appropriate.
Also I'll be adding more NPCs as I go, new employees, regular customers, etc.

Bakari sat in his often claimed chaise lounge by the windows on the north wall. The hose of a hookah (filled with some delightful mango flavored tobacco) rests between his lips. His right hand hovers above a chess board on the table before him as he ponders his next move. The day had been uneventful up to this point, and with Azhar making a journey to the capital on some unknown errand Bakari had little else to do but sit quietly in his favorite coffee house and play chess by himself. It was quite obvious that Bakari was favoring the black side of the board by the pile of white pieces that had already been captured.
There were a number of other people sitting around the shop. Some reading, others talking with one another, and some just enjoying a moment off of their feet with a steaming beverage. In a private room with the door ajar a painter was working on portraits for those customers with a little extra coin in their purses.
The day's music was being provided by a group of kids that looked as if they didn't know where their next meal was coming from. Their clothes were ragged, and stained. Their instruments were improvised, and of poor quality but the sound that came from them was decent. Slow, soft and relaxing.
