Aharon Latest?cb=20090802025916

Name: Aharon
Country Affiliation:Magnostadt
Race: Magician
Tier: D
Class: Magician [Strength]
Age + Birthdate: 16yo, Jul 9th
Gender: Male
Sexuality:Hetero
Personality:

When alone Aharon is a deep thinker, and detailed planner. He is highly organized, and enjoys putting his thoughts on paper. He is calm, and is no stranger to relaxation. More often than not you can find him in his dorm at the Academy curled up with a book and sipping a piping hot cup of tea.

In his classes Aharon is attentive, but shy. He tends to know answers to questions more often than not, but will refuse to volunteer to be called upon. He shys away from practical demonstrations in front of his peers. Aharon is slow to make friends. Where Aharon shines is in small group work where he is able to clearly articulate his ideas. Ideas which often earn himself, and his peers top marks.

With friends Aharon likes to make jokes, and takes joy in putting smiles on the faces of others. He is thoughtful and never misses a birthday, holiday, or special occasion in the lives of those he cares for. He is not at any point particularly aggressive, but is not cowardly either. He would gladly stand his ground if the need were to arise.

Likes:

-Tea: Aharon's mother is to blame for this vile addiction. She was always quite fond of tea with just a touch of mint, and honey. Working with her in the bookstore from a young age he inevitably picked up the habit, and drinks no less than 8 piping hot cups of the caffeinated concoction a day.

-Temples: Though not a believer himself Aharon was always quite obsessed with the temples of his parent's former homeland; Heliohapt. The vivid imagery of Ra, and Anubis. The incredible, and ancient architecture. The idea that temples served as the original bastions of the written word. All of these things together are inspiring and make Temples some of Aharon's favorite places to visit.

-Writing: Living in a bookstore for most of your life gives you either a certain appreciation of the written word or an intense hatred of it. There is simply no middle ground. Luckily Aharon developed quite the interest in it, and since about age ten has been writing all kinds of things ranging from short stories to poems, and recently he has had quite the ambitious idea for a book.

Dislikes:

-Coffee: Clearly the inferior drink in the realm of hot beverages Aharon will not touch a drop of the bitter black liquid.

-Large crowds: Too many people being around with all their excess talking, moving, breathing....existing sets Aharon on edge. He is perfectly fine in smaller groups however.

-Rude people: Aharon cannot abide intentional rudeness, or carelessness. He tends to avoid rowdy and uncouth individuals as if they were ill.

Aspirations:

-To compile the most extensive spell-book ever written by traveling to each major nation and learning from their top Magicians, and maybe even visiting a dungeon or two. He has no doubt that such a work would be a best seller, and regarded as one of the greatest literary works known to man. He is well aware in the difficulties involved in this task however as Magicians tend to guard their secrets well, and Dungeons are said to be some of the most terrifying challenges a person can face. Planning for this endeavor will take time, and Aharon is in no rush.

Phobias/fears:

-Dogs: Aharon's father used to keep a particularily nasty dog tht would often bite or lash out at him for no particular reason at all. Once when he was six the beast latched on to Aharon's left leg, and tore a chunk of the calf muscle away.  Aharon will not allow himself to be in the company of a dog no matter how friendly it may be.

Face-Claim: Soma Asman Kadar-Kuroshitsuji
Hair Color: Purple
Eye Color: Amber
Height: 172cm
Weight: 65kg
Appearance:

Aharon's body is quite average in most respects if you can ignore the terrible damage to his left leg. Actually if you could get his nose out of a book or his writing long enough he might be considered attractive. His unusual purple hair, and bright Amber eyes certainly make him memorable if nothing else. His dark complexion and facial features obviously mark him as having descended from citizens of heliohapt.

As far as clothing goes Aharon prefers to dress simply favoring earth tones, and white. His entire wardrobe while of fine enough quality looks rather dull to most people. More often than not you can find him wearing the black robe uniform of the Academy. On his off days Aharon will wear comfortable loose fitting linen robes or tunics, and simple sandals.

Aharon is somewhat lazy and is most often found in a reclining position.

Rukh Alignment: White
Special Features: Walks with a significant limp on the left side.
History:

Aharon's story is one that is bound to the story of his parents. They were Magician Soldiers for the nation of Heliohapt, and proud to serve their Pharoah. Seventeen years ago when Issa, Aharon's mother became pregnant with him she decided along with her husband Saalim that working as for the military was no longer safe for their budding family. Seizing the opportunity the two ran off to Magnostadt where Aharon was born to start their life anew. Soon after Issa opened her bookshop "Desert Wisdom", and Saalim began traveling to support her business.

Aharon grew up a bit spoiled perhaps. He never had to know a hard day's labor, but he was a kindhearted boy and preferred to spend his time helping his mother with her work. As he helped the young man soaked up every bit of knowledge that he could from the books he was meant to be stocking. His love for knowledge pleased his mother, but his father often hoped the boy would grow a bit more adventurous. The sheltered life within the protection of Magnostadt was making him weak, or so Saalim would say whenever he happened to be home.

Saalim had even feared that his son was not a Magician. Though Aharon claimed to be able to see the Ruhk he had never manifested even the slightest bit of magical ability. Around a year ago however Aharon discovered his magical affinity for the first time while tending to the store. The shop was packed with customers, and Issa had fallen ill a few days before. It was nearly impossible to keep up by himself. That is when the Ruhk first spoke to him in a whisper nearly too quiet to hear.

"Yad Allah" it said, and Aharon repeated the words thinking only of serving his customers. To his surprise requested volumes began to fly off the shelves and into the hands of those patrons, and coins set on the counter began to sort themselves into the till. With that Aharon, and his parents no longer had any doubts about the boy's future. He was enrolled at once into the Academy's Third Kodor.

Role-Play Sample:

Issa sat behind a shop-counter with her back flat against the wall, and a book propped in front of her nose. You would never know it by looking at the thirty seven year old woman's face that she ran a respectable book shop in the mecca of all magical learning. No she didn't look a day over twenty five, and like she didn't have a care in the world. That was in part the fault of her son, Aharon who was determined to handle every bit of work their quaint little bookshop "Desert Wisdom" had to offer. To that end Aharon was at this moment in the back of the store's stockroom throwing things about in a feverish manner as if he had lost something quite precious.

"C'mon, it has got to be here..." Aharon grumbled as he tossed another handful of paperback novels to the side. He had been at work all day organizing this space. His mother had ordered him to do it by hand on this day too, something he wouldn't normally dream of. He had just finished when he noticed it missing. A staff; little more than a walking stick to the normal eye, but to him something much more valuable. "...somewhere."

Not a single customer had visited the shop all day so Aharon knew that his precious keepsake hadn't been stolen. His mother had not gotten up from her post in hours so he knew she couldn't have moved it. It was rare for Aharon to be so careless, and so it alarmed him even more. As time pressed on he knew that he would have to forget about the staff for the day, and clean up the mess he had managed to make. As he stood up from the spot he had been crouching Aharon heard the most curious noise.

"Hehehehehe" A shrill childish voice sounded from the rear right corner of the room. "Looking for something?" A shadowy figure rose up from behind a stack of crates, and began to move forward into the room. With it's right arm it swung something in it's hand, and a loud "Crack!" echoed throughout the store. Aharon's eye widened as he got a better view of the object that just collided with the side of a massive container. It was his staff; the golden cobra headed Alhikmat Althaeban. "If you want this back sugar, you're going to have to do me a little favor".

The figure stepped forward revealing a young woman that Aharon recognized. Her shoulder length black hair, and impish demeanor were unmistakable. Her name was Rachael, a fellow student and she was in the next Kodor above him. Aharon swallowed hard. This girl had a reputation for getting exactly what she wanted, and not by being nice or playing by the rules. If she had her sights set on the young Black Magician, and worse her hand on his staff then Aharon knew he would have to comply.

"What do you need me to do, miss Dayan? I'll do whatever you ask just please give me back my staff. That was a gift from my father." Aharon pleaded knowing full well that she may just think him pathetic, and smash the thing to spite him.Rachael however smiled, and tossed the Alhikmat Althaeban to Aharon.

"Oh you can have it back...you're going to need it." Rachael said gleefully, before leaning in to whisper the details of her scheme in Aharon's ear. The longer she spoke the wider the boy's eyes became. When it looked like she could say nothing worse she backed off of Aharon's ear, and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. "You got all that dear? My dorm window. Midnight. Mess this up, and you have a lot more than some old stick to lose." She finished before making her way out of the shop.

Aharon collapsed to his knees, on the verge of hyperventilation. He couldn't believe what she was making him do, and what she would take from him if he didn't comply. A life for a life she had said. His mother's safety in exchange for a fellow third Kodor student named Theresa. He was to use his magic to help her in to the unsuspecting girl's window, and aide her in escaping when the deed was done. It was just about sundown now, and there was little time to act if he was going to stop this from happening. "But how?" Aharon pondered as he attempted to compose himself.
