Summary: Zubaidah has finally found the man who incited the revolts which caused her family’s death, and with Lagi’s help will kill him. However, there is an unexpected loss - she herself is taken prisoner after his death by a person claiming to be both his equal and companion, and is left in a prison where she is tortured day in, day out, for two weeks, causing her to question how her actions warrant this - causing her to fall ever further into depravity.
