If one could give music to any moment of their life, and have it themed to the scenario that they were in? What would yours be reader? What would Oliver's be right now? Pretty sure you're more interested in that?

Well Oliver's music would be the eerie and quick paced violin that would be heard in a suspense movie during the big chase scene. He wasn't being chased down by some Lovecraftian monster that met with a King of Koontz plot line. No he was being hunted by something far more rabid and thirsty to complete its task. A group of mercenaries that were promised pay on delivery of their package!

What was the package? Well isn't it obvious at this point? Our taupe blonde haired protagonist of his own story was being mercilessly hunted down and things were being tossed about in the street as he scrambled and struggled to keep his footing as the men sought to nab him and cart him off elsewhere.

Let's rewind about ten minutes though first shall we? Before the damages of the area were going to outweigh the paycheck of the mercs. It's a fine and sunny day, the birds are chirping, the tension of war remains on edge, the clouds are shaped like different things depending on the imagination of the viewer. Oliver was busy working on some notes and drawings of people that he observed inf ront of him in the little tavern he had stopped off at during his travels. It was a rough sketch without any facial features save for stock drawing skills for the generic background filler. No one really was piquing his interest. But a trio of burly gentlemen wearing head garbs befitting those of Heliohapt who looked at a paper, then Oliver, then at the paper again had their interest piqued by him.

They had approached, the wood floor creaking beneath them so Oliver looked up while they approached, and promptly slammed a hand down on the table, covering the wanted poster picture. "Looking for someone?" Normally he would be far more cautious, but all of the people he had met over his stay in Kou resulted in Oliver being a bit more laid back about meeting new people.

"We want you to come with us, and no is not an answer." They lifted their cloaks, revealing rather intimidating looking scimitars. Oliver just looked at them with a blank stare. Welp, it seemed that now was going to be one of those times to just scooch his chair on backwards slowly, not making any sudden moves before he stood up, cast the chair backwards to clatter against the ground and vault over the table, and do a quick handspring off of the middle merc's body. Oliver spun and landed with one leg bent and near his chest, the other sticking far out and a hand on the ground to keep his balance. Everyone was looking at him, but he quickly bolted out of the door, the mercs drew out their weapons and enchanted rope after to chase the poor writer.

He knew exactly why they were here, he thought. On the table, where they had left it, was a wanted poster for the live capture of himself and to be delivered to Magnostadt. Bugger, is all he thought while weaving through crowds and working to gently bump carts to knock them into rolling toward the men who chased him as they ran uphill and the carts downhill.
This and a few choice acrobatics of a chase with some minutes later and more of the mercs joining int he chase, Oliver found himself looking for, and ducking into some of the oddest shops, only to leap out of a window and onto another street while the mercenaries looked for him a block and a half over.

He dusted himself off and sighed, this was another town he would have to avoid for now. Now all he needed to do was get back to the tavern, get his weapons and possessions, and get the hell out of here. Maybe he could stumble across a new or old friend along the way.

Noir was having the time of her life inside the oddest shop that she ever entered in her whole life at the moment, her golden eyes were sparkling as she observed one of the goods displayed in the store and her mouth was wide open due to her excitement. This odd store was selling some kind of talismans and weird stuff inside, but Noir could see the rukh floating from most of the goods and that meant this store was selling some kind of magic items. She was interested to see that most of the source was from jade or even woods, something that was not a really common thing. The moment she wanted to move over so she could look at another display table, she could hear some kind of commotion approaching the store.

It happened so fast, a man was running away from some people by entering the house only to leap out from the window and onto the street. However the man was someone that Noir recognized, she was kind of fazed by the event but several seconds after the black haired girl snapped out of it and decided to follow the group. Haku and Kuzunoha would be following beside her, exiting the store when their master stepped out from the door. The magician made no effort to catch up to Oliver and only walked casually, following the footsteps. She wondered if those men were the people who were ordered to chase and catch Oliver so they could bring him back to Magnostadt. Oh well, she would find out soon.

Here you go sweety. You shouldn’t stray too far from home it’s bad times right now. So please get home safely and have a nice day~ “ His emerald eyes roamed the inside of the shop. “ Thank you~ “ Taking a bag of sweets out her hands. She placed one hand into her chin and waved Thorsten off with the other. Walking off to his own accord once again. Sweets shops were always fun to visit. Different candies to just take with the slight of hands. Getting more than you regularly bargain for? Yes, that’s what Thorsten did. Sneaky in the least. ‘ Where should I be off too next? Ice cream, another candy shop? Maybe return back to Hakon? Ughh… ‘ Placing the bag of sweets into his belt strap. Thinking of what is next to come.

Seeing in how it was just becoming the afternoon. Sun high in the sky beaming down its ray of light. A pleasant mood? Thorsten felt something like that. It wasn’t pleasant, but it wasn’t bad either. He couldn’t explain the feeling. More or less think of what it could be. This was sort of bothering him, so he reached for the bag of sweets. Tossing one piece of candy in his mouth as he walked. Closing his eyes to full image the scenery of him enjoying the sweet, delicious taste. Chewing thoroughly. Savoring everything he can from just the piece. Before he grabbed for another. Thorsten pulled out the stolen pieces of candy and placed them into the bag. Giving a little shake to the bag to mix them throughout. “ oOooOOoHhhHH sO DelIcious! “ letting it erupt loudly. That however wasn’t the only thing that was loud. One orange haired boy, teen, or man? Running ? It was confusing to witness. People in the crowded area had turned and released gasps all around. Before long three large men came from behind Thorsten. Bumping into Thorsten making him knock his bag of sweets to the ground. Candy scattering across the pavement while some innocent bystanders stepped and crush the pieces. “ M...My Ca...candy.. a tremble in his voice. He started to stutter the words over.

Clenching his fist, grabbing the sack that was stepped on to throw it away. As he went to throw away the bag, a woman of golden eyes and black curly hair stepped into the light and walked off the orange haired something? And trio. Thorsten didn’t need to return to the caravan so he instantly displaced himself from the crowd and street. Leaving no trace of his presences behind if none saw him. He’d begin to follow suit behind the woman, as she followed the loud bunch of “ CANDY KILLING BASTARDS “ He said loudly in his head, but softly in tone. Moving along the rooftops keeping it sheath like. Hopefully this proves to avenge his sweets.

Oliver was still scurrying along through the streets, strings of apologies and pivoting about on one foot with saluting waves among other gestures to people that he got past them without disturbing them much. The growing number of mercenaries that was chasing him would find it was hard to pin down someone with a lithe body with their bulky frames. Of course those enchanted ropes that reached out, latched onto random objects and yanked them back were enough of a warning for Oliver to keep on his toes literally.

Of course, the poor candy would go unnoticed by the mercenaries or that they were being followed by two new people not among their troop. With Thorsten and Noir in tow, the two could meet up or continue on their way. But Oliver was making a bee-line for a specific spot. Some assassins would know this little back alley that lead to a den hidden under the overhung floors of other buildings. It was in here that Oliver found his teacher Takane, always in whatever town he showed up in, and a safe haven. Odd for a noble from Magnostadt to be hiding among a den of thieves.

When he got to the little junction, and deliberately snatched up a knife along his way and cut open a large bag of flour to obscure himself from the mercenaries, Oliver would scoot on into the tight alleyway and started to make his way back.

Would Noir and Thorsten find Oliver then and there? Or would they find him poking his head out when the mercenaries looked around for a good few minutes before deciding to pack up and make their way back to their camp. Find out next time on Magi Post Z~

The black haired girl halted herself, noticing a sack on the ground and scanned it with her topaz’s orbs. The sack perhaps was being stepped by the group that she was following and if she observed more without opening it, she could see some colorful wrappers inside with some broken crystal, possibly some kind of candies. Although she was not really focused on it, apparently Haku noticed something and growled to Noir. His crimson eyes were sharp and after he knew Noir was paying attention to him, Haku would began to look around and sniffed for something. “Don’t.” The black haired magician commanded her liger, stopping him from anything that he might want to do. “Someone is following us…?” She said in a small volume, making sure that only Haku would be able to listen. The moment the white beast nodded, Noir would ask for the direction, asking Haku to only show it by pointing his head to show to place. The liger turned around, his head would be pointing at wherever Thorsten would be before quickly turned around again, waiting for Noir’s order.

The girl would shake her head, preferred to just follow Oliver to make sure he was okay. He might be able to deal with the groups, but it was just in case for now. It turned out to be an awkward situation though as once again Haku detected someone who was poking his head out before telling Noir by pointing his paw at the person. However Noir decided to stay quiet, wanting to see how it would turn out.

Thorsten had been stalking the black-haired woman like prey. He left traces of his presences since he was still an amateur. Meaning if he tried to follow in pursuit it would be easy to identify him unless he taken procause. However he hadn’t done so in this situation. Leaping across the gaps of the rooftops, peeking his head in between to make sure he was still on route behind her. Clearing obstacles were easy with his flexibility and strength. “ This is a breeze. Now to follow her and get the man who made me drop my candy. “ He said outloud clearing another gap.

Stopping to take a break he peeked out. This is when he first noticed the woman’s pet had stopped and looked directly at him. Thorsten made eye contact with the beast. He wasn’t scared of it, but it did make him feel uneasy. Before he could go back to disappear it had tried to notify its owner. Thorsten, had two options. Reveal himself, or make an escape. He didn’t pick either of those. Just waiting to see how it played out. The black-haired woman had proven to him that she didn’t old any killer instinct, or try to send ill intentions his way. So since she didn’t react, he didn’t react to her. Thorsten awaited for her to continue following just as he had been following.

When the coast was clear, or at least clear of humans, Oliver started to slip out from the tight alley way. No way anyone with a muscular physique like those mercenaries could slip in and follow him in there, but it was nice to be breathing fresh air again. The smell of sage and ginseng burning back there was so hard on the olfactory senses.

But remember how the author mentioned the coast was clear of humans? Well Oliver looked down at the beast Haku pointing at him. He could only grimace in a manner that one would have when dealing with a legendary talking sword that demanded you follow a rulebook of seven hundred and some odd number of statutes to wield it. His eyes narrowed and looked off to the side and his cheeks pulled up with his lips, making distinct creases along the sides of his mouth. But when he took note it was one of Noir's beasts, he relaxed and knelt down. Offering a hand out to the little guy while he was certain that Noir was close by. He would just need to wait an-oh hey there she was.

Without shouting out loud to alert any remaining mercs nearby, Oliver waved with his free hand high above his head, trying to signal her over so that he could talk to her, and whoever the second stalker was if they so wished it. But he didn't want to go to them and risk bumping into some of the merchants whose carts got wrecked because he was being chased. Which was another reason he stayed close to the back alley, so that he could slip off to the Thieves' Den with ease.

Noir’s golden eyes twitched when she saw Oliver waved his hand, trying to get her attention. She was not sure if she should go to him actually, but he might need a help to escape from those mercenaries… The black haired girl nodded towards him, but keeping her guard up since she knew the boy from earlier was still following from behind no matter what kind of intention that he had. She would begin to walk towards Oliver casually and making the distance between both of them became closer. “I saw they are following you.” She said to the man with a flat tone, didn’t bother to look around to see if the mercenaries were still following Oliver or not. She might be involved in the matters but she didn’t really mind, thinking that she could pass some time by helping the man.

“Oh…” She wasn’t sure if she should tell Oliver about it, but she thought it would be good to make sure that the boy wasn’t the part of the mercenaries. “There’s a boy hiding behind, not too far from here. I think he is observing something, is there any boy if the group that was chasing you?” She would make sure to decrease her volume, almost making it sounded like a whisper but it would still be audible for Oliver.

Thorsten trailing would soon come to an end. Watching from a distance wasn't him. It was his skill set, but wasn't him. He felt he could do more than trail by going directly to the problem. Facing it head on. It was only a feeling. Running his right hand through his hair. The highlights sticking up. If he wasn't too shy to engage in conversation first. Thorsten would leap from his position down to talk, but another feeling of uncertainty came over him.

A low stomach growl came over him also. Man I want some candy. Why those big shouldered brunts knock it out my hand. talking to himself. Jumping down from a nearby rooftop. The breeze from declining to the ground felt nice. Air passing through his fingertips reminded him of traveling with the caravan. On that reminiscent he should return to the caravan after dealing with the people who made him waste money. Um… hello. No no.. Hey how you doing. No no… that won't work! Ummmm…. Hey do you know that dude? No… Shit! he was fumbling on what words to say to the black haired girl. Peaking from the right. Sticking his head out to make sure she was still in sight. Thorsten noticed she had stopped and begun to talk with the orange haired man.

They looked pretty chummy and friendly towards one another. But on guard for anything. This made Thorsten more tense about walking up to them , but he needed information which is more important than his personal opinion. For the candy. For the candy!!! he said to himself. Bending his knees. Than taking off from the corner and sprinting towards the two of them. One momento! Of your time! I wanna talk about my candy! Ughhhh…. no not my candy! But dealing with um… the people chasing so and Um… My Candy!!! Thorsten completely rambling at this point. He probably startled them in his bash way of appearing even though he wasn't really hiding himself. But whether they reacted he would await information to avenge his candy.

"Yeah about them, they seem keen on dragging me back home. You recall how I mentioned that right? Seems dear old daddums wants me back home and with a close leash on my bedpost so that I can be kept track of and the potential brides can come by and stake their claim. You know how it goes with megalomaniacs right?"

"That boy? What boy? Oh him."
Oliver poked himself out of the alleyway further, finally standing out in the open air and stretched to and fro, twisting his spine to the left and then to the right, cracking the vertebrae while Thorsten came over to them.

"They did something to your candy? I'm sorry about that. I can offer to buy you something to replace it. It's good to see you again Thorsten." He smiled and offered a friendly gesture to the lad he had met in the underground fighting area a while back.

But before anything else, some of the cart shop owners were looking for the person that was being chased to give them a piece of their mind. Oliver grimaced and quickly motioned for them to follow him into the alleyway, "Come on, we can talk more in a safer place."

When they got through there would be buildings built all around to let little light through, like a bunch of overhung structures to hide this private area in the town. There were all sorts of folk here, shady ones, people that wanted to fight, steal, or worse. Of course, with Oliver's face being well known, they knew better than to mess with one of their own ilk, so Thorsten and Noir would both be safe.

Noir raised her eyebrow, reacting to one certain word that Oliver just said. ‘Megalomaniac’, a person who was obsessed with their own power and Noir never really encountered any kind of person that could fully fit the meaning of the words itself. So, the black haired girl wondered what kind of person Oliver’s father was like, to the point that his own son could use that word to describe him. “I am not sure actually, I apologize.” She bowed her head a little bit as a train of questions arrived inside her mind, but she held herself back from actually asking it.

It seemed that Oliver didn’t know the boy and the boy didn’t mean any harm as well to them, but Noir still kept her guard on. When she was a slave, there was a lot of children who was trained to innocently approach someone before robbing them and she could only hope that this boy was not like that when he approached them like that. The boy kept mentioning his candy and when Oliver assumed that the group did something to the boy’s candy, Noir would kneel down so her eyes could be on the boy’s eyes level. “I will make you something.” She said, but Oliver wanted to talk in a safer place and the magician kind off agreed with it since it might be dangerous for all of them to just wander around while one of them was being chased like this. When the man motioned them to follow him, Noir would start walking but she would keep her pace slow enough so the boy could walk in front of her and she could watch their back just in case.

Thorsten seemed to blend in with the two shortly. But he hadn’t know neither one of them. The black hair lady seemed to be a oppai from the looks of her bosoms. However he couldn’t let her know that… Yet. Anyways. She said she would make him some more candy, which sort of calmed his nerves, and anger towards the brutes whom knocked it from his bag earlier. Thank, Kind Op..Lady Thorsten, said. Almost letting Oppai slip from from his lips. He needed to control his manners in front of her as she isn’t someone he’s working with. Maybe in the future she could be? He isn’t sure, but as of right now following behind the one with the orange wig was the plan. Plans was things he definitely followed to the end.

Inside the den of thieves, it was like a hidden town inside of the town. "Believ eit or not, every town in Kou with tight buildings has one of these. And if you tell anyone I told you that, now that you've seen it, you'd be targeted. Kind of the rules."

SOme of the unsavory folk looked like they wanted ot rough up the new comers, but one look at Oliver was enough for them to back down as he waved to them with that close eyed smile before narrowing his eyes open at them all.

He would lead them through and show them back toward one of the shops. It was really something. All of the buildings that compromised this little den were all lined up with each other and had four stories at least. And from the fourth story and up their floors were longer so that they could all intersect and make an unknown canopy around the den. It was dark, but lit with many paper lanterns. The smell of smoking pipes and alcohol was thick here.

Oliver would lead Thorsten and Noir through the den, walking past people, slapping a few shoulders and shaking hands, exchanging some money owed for gambling here and there. he would take them back to a little shop that had two stories in the den. It was here that a knife was thrown into the doorframe as Oliver walked in. "How nice to see you again Takane. Your aim still needs some working on." The old woman behind the counter grumbled at him, it was the one person who he always mentioned to some folk that was his trainer.

But she wasn't of much note as he walked off toward the tavern side of the shop. "So did you guys want the epic novel version of the situation or the short story with cliffnotes?"

Noir nodded at what Oliver said and said what was on her mind as a response, “Yes, I have some informant that told me about this kind of area.” It was good to have a network indeed, because it was really helpful for the magician to know about some situations in some areas. However it seemed that the orange haired man knew some men inside the den and Noir would follow quietly, letting Thorsten to walk in front of her first while she walked behind with Haku following beside her just to make sure there wouldn’t be any harm coming from the back. Suddenly, there was sound of a knife flying and stabbed into the doorframe just when Oliver entered. An old lady named Takane seemed to be the person who threw the knife and both of them seemed to be an acquaintance. When Oliver asked them to choose one of two options he offered, Noir simply shook her head. “I dont mind which one.” She said with a flat tone, her words seemed to be delivered with an icy hint although she didn’t mean it.

Thorsten, rubbed his shower. He felt out of place sort of. ” So Olii, I sort of feel out of place. I didn't want to hold that in, so I'm just gonna say it. “ He said honestly. Rolling his thumb in a circle on his shoulder. Thorsten, didn't know what bothered him, but he continued behind, Oliver. ” So Noir, what are you? You one of those profound beast tamer’s? Like are you famous anywhere for it? “ He said. Pivoting to walk backwards as he ran into a wall. Rubbing his neck. Thorsten, noticed that Oliver had been to weave through buildings. Hopefully him and Noir, could talk as he walked. Thorsten, shaking his head as a way to make the pain fade.

Oliver, navigating Thorsten, and Noir through the den. Throsten, eyes were wild with excitement. ” This my first official den. It's so heavy in smell here, I can't tell the difference between the alcohol smell or smell coming the thick fog. Hahaha. “ Thorsten, said. Chuckling turned into coughing for a little as some of the smoke caught him off guard. Thorsten, did sort of jump back a little when the women threw at knife at Oliver. Thorsten, wondered what he did to get a knife thrown at him. Finding his way over to a table to seat at. Throsten, looked at Oliver and Noir, and Noir’s companion who wasn't far behind. Eyeing each one. ” So um.. I guess the epic would be nice? But is this like your backstory? Cuz then that'll be something to hear. “ He said. Wondering if his little extra was needed or not.

Oliver lead the both of his tagalongs into the tavern, making sure that they had a table while the tavern itself was occupied with brutish looking folk who were more than happy to see Oliver. Apparently he had good standing with these people and was more than welcome here. At least in these dens he could feel safe with them.

"You should feel out of place. You're kind of a kid. But what can you do? Oh well." He shrugged and waited for the both of them to sit down. And whenever the two of them did, leaving Noir's furry friend to sit next to her, Oliver leaned forward, pounding his fist into the table, leaning over on his arm and elbow to get close and get ready to tell a good story.

"Well Noir, Kid, I should tell you from the beginning. Noir knows a little bit already."

"I am from Magnostadt you see. And I am related to one of the highest nobles of Magnostadt, Ashcroft Oxford. He's kind of my father despite how old he seems. I'm the first born son among five children."
He leaned back in the seat, recounting to them everything they needed to know.

"Now he wanted a son so that he could try to advance himself to a higher circle of political power, as is customary in Magnostadt. And four strong magical daughters weren't going to cut it. He wanted a SON. A SON that could surpass him in magic. Imagine dear old dad's surprise when that son turned out to be a Goi?"

"Well things were kind of shitty with him always being dismissive toward me until I hit the age of twelve and he thought he could use me for something, trying to marry me off to another noble's family for the sake of combining power. And what that meant was that I had four magically inclined sisters from four different mothers, one of whom didn't understand 'boundaries' if you get what i mean Noir."

"And then three other potential fiances from other families."
He gesticulated, trying to illustrate with his hands about the fact that things got pretty crazy.

[color=teal"I couldn't take it anymore. Between the fights over who wanted to spend time with me and damn near getting blown up every time in the process like it was some cheesy romance story, I just decided to up and leave."

"I wanted to prove that Goi were good for something. So I set out without telling anyone, and came to Kou to start my journey. But old Ashcroft doesn't exactly approve of the prodigal son going out and returning after having a walkabout. So he's apparently paying top dollar for mercenaries to try and bring me back home. And you two ran into some of them today as I am already aware. So if you have seen any wanted posters with my face on them, please be so kind as to torch them, or get rid of them."[/color]
