He breathed a steady sigh of relief. Ahhhh, those pesky little things had been finally eradicated in the eastern section of Magnostadt. He lazily strolled through the city. Despite their size, dragonelles caused a thorough disruption in the daily lives of people. He probably should have lent a hand, but to be fair, he took care of the mini dragons themselves. He just wanted a break. But unfortunately those freaking brats didn't just create chaos, but in the end, harmless, little monsters. Oh no, the four sadists had to create a handful vile and harmful green devils. He would head to the south side of the city tomorrow. According to the report, the creatures investing the area would present little challenge to him.

Crash!

It came from an alleyway. He narrowed his eyes, hesitant to inspect. In the end, he caved into his curiosity. He flinched as a loud and furious voice rang out. The speaker, a dusty brown-haired young adult, continued to yell. What a loud, noisy brat. He exasperatedly sighed as four familiar creatures appeared. He remained a bystander, confident in the younger magician's capability to dispose of simple nuances. A Green Magician, he identified. He starred unimpressed at his skill. He wondered how the Green Magician would fare in the face of a stronger opponent. He frowned and shook his head. He resisted the urge to find out.

"You got rid of those devils. Congratulations," he flatly noted. On the 'congratulations', he hinted a few ounces of sarcasm. He glared at the teenager in front of him with obvious distaste. The boy's tastes were extravagant. How wasteful and stupid. Oh, was he holding up the poor kid? Too bad.

Reed had a remarkable talent for being abrasive, though in this instance he felt vindicated in being irritable because he had spent far too much time completing the task of disposing of harmless, not-posing-a-threat life magic constructs. He stared at the man before him, their eyes meeting in a somewhat competitive gaze. He deduced this man was also here for the same mission, and in some weird display of asserting his masculinity, Reed thought to make a sarcastic quip about his successful completion of the mission. However, Reed was to head to his chambers and go to bed, so he wasn't much in the mood for whatever small talk that was to occur. Still, Reed couldn't be so outright rude that he would make enemies, so he felt it was necessary to soften the harshness of his behavior.

"Thank you. It wasn't very difficult," Reed replied, observing the man before him scan him up and down as if he were being sized up as an opponent. Reed decided to do the same, and try to find any clues or little snippets of information based solely on appearance: his clothes were prominently the color black, which Reed interpreted as a sign for being 'edgy.' Still, he always knew it was best not to be so presumptuous, as if his appearance were any better. He had quite a respectable wardrobe, being from nobility and all, but that was all he really had now.

"Allow me to introduce myself," Reed said, bowing respectfully before the man, "Reed Harper. And you are?" There was a softness to Reed's voice this time, the timbre of his voice lacking the curt and quick nature of his speaking. Perhaps the man before him was intimidating, or perhaps he appreciated someone who finds themselves initially sarcastic.

"Ariel Harel, lovely meeting you," he dryly introduced himself. Not really. He disliked meeting new people. However, Reed piqued his curiosity. He admitted the Green Magician's potential. Maybe he could do with a lesson on energy conservation, but no limitations barred and caged him from becoming a skilled and formidable opponent. Actually, Reed's background interested Ariel the most. The Harper family's reputation preceded Reed and made him particularly interesting. The men in the Harper family possessed a strong aptitude for the martial arts, or so Ariel heard. He recalled hearing about their disappointing son, Reed Harper, whose abilities went unappreciated.

"I'm guessing you took the job to get rid of these green things? Since we're both working towards the same goal, why don't we collaborate? It would be beneficial for both of us. Less energy wasting, anyways," he proposed. He curiously peered at Reed. How would the other answer him? Primarily he wondered what this Reed Harper could do. A drive propelled him to inspect Reed's capacity. Potential did not translate skill or talent. Reed certainly possessed potential, but what about his ability now, today? Rumors filled the air and exaggerated the Harper boy's talent. Ariel sought to discern the truth behind the fiction.

Another thing that troubled him: what really happened to his sister, Coda? Too many untruthful tales revolved around Coda Harper's death. Everyone agreed someone committed a heinous act against Coda. Murder. But how? And why? The answer to these mysteries lay within Reed. At least, he might know why anyone would murder his sister. What's more, how it could have happened in their own house. Since nobody saw Coda outside their estate before the murder, it must have taken place inside or near the Harper family's house. How could security be that loose, especially around their own daughter? No, security would have been too tight to infiltrate the inside of the house. It must have taken place outside. But that brought up a new question: Why was Coda outside in the first place?

Ah, there he goes again, off on a tangent. He redirected his thoughts away from the mystery of Coda Harper's death and towards his job. He hated Schwartz.

Reed was pleased to hear that the man before him, Ariel, had introduced himself. He was not used to warm responses, so it was refreshing to at least go through the traditional exchange of niceness and pleasantries. He could tell he was being judged, now, perhaps this man knew of his family? Well, it was hard not to, especially in this area. Magnostadt did not have many "elites" in the country, being majority academics and magicians. It was then that Reed was taken by surprise--he was asked, politely, to do a task with someone. A collaboration! A duet! A small feeling of exhilaration took over Reed--he hadn't be working with someone for so long! Ever since his sister had died. Reed hung his head low, a little guilty he felt such joy for finally having a potential companion, and his head hung in shame a little. However, he couldn't just turn this person down because of this...nobody would understand that he needed his time alone.

"I...I would love to collaborate with you. If I am telling the truth, that last job was a bit too difficult for me, and I could use the help," Reed admitted, his voice quivering with nervousness and anticipation. He quickly reminded himself of who he was and ended his sentence with a swift and sharp tone, "Not that I do not have confidence in my abilities, I'd just rather not fail on something so easy," Reed could tell the man was unimpressed with his attempt to save face.

"So, what do we do for this next job? Hunt for floating green teddy bears?" He asked, inquiring more about the new job he was offered by his companion. There was something about Ariel that intrigued Reed even more. So, he hoped to get closer to him so that he may find out more. Possibly, collect him as a friend. Friends were never something Reed had. Just family.

How peculiar. Reed's face went from happily surprised to remorseful. What had caused that light feeling of elation and what ha triggered a wave of melancholy? His face instantly glowed when Ariel offered his help. Perhaps Reed appreciated the companionship after a deprivation of a social life as a child and adolescence? Somehow, he connected companionship to a depressing thought, or so Ariel concluded by observing Reed's expression. A pinch of pity crossed Ariel's heart, but he cruelly chased the empathetic feelings away. Sympathy morphed into annoyance as Blueblood attempted to preserve his dignity. Ariel communicated his criticism through a snort and a roll of the eyes. The Green Magician needed more practice before he became proficient in the arts of sophisticated lying.

"No, those kids would find teddy bears too boring. We're looking at a gaseous monster of sorts," replied Ariel. The four brats had wild imaginations. Fantastical beasts better fit their insane and reckless style. Certainly, they never sought mediocracy, which usually was a good thing. Except when being outstandingly stupid. Then please be mediocre if nothing less.

"We can go after them tomorrow. We have the day off, so might as well take advantage of the free time. We'll need a meeting place. Meet me in Schwartz's room, early morning. If you don't know where his classroom is, well, just wake up someone and they'll probably know. Although, I'm sure you know where Schwartz's classroom is. You shouldn't need to ask." He snorted. Honestly, how could anyone not know Schwartz's classroom's location? Schwartz was that famous among the student body. At least, Reed knew who Schwartz was, right? It would be absurd if he didn't. Everyone had heard about Schwartz. His friendly (read eccentric) personality was well known. "Don't waste too much time when you wake up and don't stay up any later. I suppose I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight." he nagged. He turned around and sped off for the Magnostadt Academy, ready for sleep to arrive.

[ i n ]

He sighed mournfully. Grudgingly, he ripped himself from his soft bed. He wondered how long the violinist might squander. How long would he wait before his patience snapped? He pulled his coat from the hanger, and he plucked his hat from the rack. Languidly, he trudged to his shoes. Dramatically, he slipped them on. With the pace and attitude of a sloth, he crawled his way to the designated meeting place. Much to Ariel's horror, Schwartz chose that day out of all days to work in his classroom. The sun had not even risen, dammit!

"Ariel! My favorite student! Awake, early as usual." That goddamn, annoyingly cheerful voice. He stared dumbly at the teacher for a moment. After having processed the presence of Schwartz and his words, Ariel glared disbelievingly. "Definitely. I'm your favorite," he deadpanned.

Schwartz conceded to the truth cheerfully, "No, you frustrate me and I swear it will be your fault when my hair turns completely gray before I'm sixty."

He peered at Ariel curiously. "By the way, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"That's none of your business, old man," Ariel sneered.

"Won't be much longer for you, cub. We're not that far apart in age!"

"You're still an old grandpa."

"Then I guess you're also an old grandpa."

"No, I'm a young grandpa. You know, this is getting really stupid."

"Really? Already tired? You're right, you're right! But in all seriousness, why are you in a classroom? Remember? All classes have been canceled."

"I know. And again, that's none of your business."

"Perhaps you're meeting someone? But why my classroom?"

"Because everyone knows where it is, duh!"

"Ah… How about doing that job I asked you to do?"

"When that person gets here I'll start on it."

"You might be waiting a little while. Most people don't get up before the sun. Especially students on breaks."

"Tch, he better. The faster I get this job done and over, the happier I'll be."

"No doubt about that. Hey, listen-"

"Uh, no. Not another job. Just let me wait in peace."

"Alright, alright, I'll back off... It's probably going to be a long wait."

"I know, but just- goddamit, shut up!"

Reed nodded emphatically, not wishing to appear like some pedestrian student who was not privy to the ins and outs of the academy. He listened to the instructions carefully: hunting gaseous monsters, wake up at the crack of dawn, and go to a Schwartz's room. Schwartz's room? Reed had only been at the academy for a short while, taking only entry level classes with the same stuffy geezers with the rest of the newly matriculated students. He was going to ask who Schwartz was but Ariel had zipped away, off to his room for bed before Reed had even a slight chance of moving his mouth to make the noise to ask the question. Dumbfounded, he walked back to his room, hopefully sure to find a single person to guide him in the right direction. When he realized he had little friends to converse with about this he only panicked and fled to his room, absolutely wrought with fear that he would miss whatever appointment he had tomorrow. He rushed back to his room, hoping maybe he'll wake up early enough to wander the halls of the academy to find his new friend, before he was hit with the inspired idea to find his sister and ask her where this Schwartz's room was. He arrived at his sister's room, pounding frantically on her door until she opened it, her face pursed with anger as her hair was disheveled and her clothes awkwardly put on.

"Lyra I need he--were you sleeping? You look different," He asked, pausing to finally notice his sister's poor fashion choices.

"I was...busy...what do you want, Reed?" Reed could sense a very obvious tone of frustration and annoyance at this, but he was already here and the deed was already done, so he continued along.

"I need to find a "Schwartz's room," I'm meeting a friend? Do you know where it is?" He asked, hoping his sister would pull through for him. Lyra only rolled her eyes and slammed the door, causing poor Reed's heart to sink to the floor. He had angered even his sister...until she opened the door again to give Reed a piece of paper.

"This is a map. Use it, Reed, and then use your goddamn brain," Lyra was definitely displeased with this entire series of events. She slammed the door once again and Reed stood there, a little confused that his sister was so upset. Maybe she was very busy? In any case, Reed rushed to his room and laid down to sleep, excited for the day ahead.

Reed whipped up from his bed, rubbing his eyes to see the sun just starting to rise in the horizon. Rats! He planned to wake up earlier but this was good enough still. He quickly washed his face and put on his travel clothes before hopping out of the door. He nearly forgot the map of the school, so he had to double back to grab it, and then rush out of his room yet again, sprinting in the general direction of where Schwartz's room could be.

"Alright....alright...Schwartz....Schwartz....ah ha!" Reed followed the map diligently, not having much experience in reading them before. He was sure he was going the right way, so he increased his pace dramatically, weaving through the halls and people, trying to make it there on time. When it became clear it was finally morning, and he could hear the distance cock-a-doodle-doos of the roosters outside, he was about to feel defeated before barreling into the classroom where Ariel was, accidentally smacking his arm on the door way.

"SON OF A BIIIII--" Reed almost yelled, before pausing to see Ariel and an older man in the room, "--IIIG FAMILY THAT'S ME! UH, UM, ahem, hello, I have arrived. My name is Reed, Reed Harper. Nice to meet you sir, and hello Ariel. I apologize if I'm late, I had a little trouble waking up this morning," Reed assumed he had been smooth, but unfortunately it's hard to come back from such a loud and bombastic faux pas as almost cussing in front of an academy professor and friend he made yesterday. Reed rubbed his head, hoping in the spirit of etiquette they would ignore such a social blunder.

Schwartz gazed disbelievingly at Reed. He glanced to the side. Ariel's expression, dark and murderous, frightened him. Poor kid, oblivious to the risks of involving himself with Ariel. Ariel probably suspected Reed held a key clue in his quest for answers. No way the black magician willingly agreed to work with Reed on a whim. He hated accommodating others. The black magician's drive, though admirable, also spun a darker story. His brand of curiosity crossed into the realms of obsession. His constant goal to satiate his intense curiosity would someday cause the death of an unlucky bystander accidentally caught in his web. His curiosity's intensity even outmatched his strong sense of wariness at times.

"You took two hours. I think we've figured that out by now," Ariel pointed out. He grimaced, dreading working with Reed. He imagined all the ways the job would go south. All because of Reed. Obviously, their troubles would stem from Reed. Yet despite his obvious reluctance, he offered his assistance. He needed answers to satisfy his continuous curiosity. Many times, Schwartz referred to it as "obsession" and privately, Ariel agreed. However, he felt no obligation towards Reed to treat the younger politely. As a result, he dealt the full blow of his glare to Reed. In return, he felt two pairs of eyes on him. One being Reed's and the other being Schwartz's. Speaking of which, he wondered if Reed realized the teacher next to him was Schwartz. Just in case, he introduced Schwartz with a warning. "This is Schwartz. Stay away from him unless you like being an errand boy.

"Tread carefully around Mr. Harel. He's both, er, to put it nicely, opinionated, curious, and, er, a bit too loyal towards one side?" he jabbed back. The black magician rolled his eyes. Him, biased? Surely Schwartz mistook him for another student.

"Don't be ridiculous. Yes, I admit. I am a bit opinionated, and it's no secret that I'm curious. But I'm not 'a bit too loyal towards one side'! That's not true!" he protested.

"No, you're right. You're not 'a bit too loyal towards one side', you're very loyal towards one side," Schwartz pointed out.

"Well… Whatever! Come on, Reed. We need to get a move on! We've got three sides of the city to take care of!"

He stormed irritably out of the classroom.

Reed stood there in the doorway, feeling the piercing gazes of Ariel and Schwartz boring into him as he thoroughly made a fool of himself. Still, his abilities would prove something to be proud of during the mission--he may have made a poor first impression but he knew he would prove to be sufficiently skilled in matters of combat. He watched as the two intellectuals bickered back and forth, leaving Ariel to storm out of the room in a tranquil rage as the professor merely laughed to himself at teasing the young man. So, Reed followed Ariel out into the city, weaving through the halls and watching as the morning sun rose high into the sky. Boy, they were quite late to the excitement! And we had three sides of the city to explore! Yet Reed didn't mind all that much, he didn't think an early day was very necessary, but to each their own. He caught up to the magician, him speeding through the halls, frantic to make up on the lost time on account of Reed's tardiness.

"Uh, um, so how long h-have you been working with Professor Schwartz?" Reed struggled to talk while keeping up the fast pace of walking the pair of magicians kept traveling through the halls. His question seemed to float somewhere in the air as the two of them still made quick work to the city, finally reaching the center square before Ariel stopped short in the center, and Reed quickly made a short stop behind him, taking care to not bump into him with the full force of motion.

"G-geez! Uh, so are we splitting up? What's the plan?" Reed asked, taking care not to slam into Ariel. "C-cause...for efficiency's sake, we could split up and take two sides of the city, and take the final side together?" Reed certainly felt a marginally inflated sense of ego for coming up with a plan. And if he could prove his worth alone, perhaps he could show that he was a particularly talented magician. Reed waited for his companion's response, not to act presumptuous in case he had a different plan.

The green magician's question caught him off guard. The question came without a prompt, without reason. It was unexpected and sudden. What motivated Reed to pry information about the pair's convoluted interactions? Perhaps he had no reason behind his question. Was it merely an innocent attempt to strike a conversation to fill the silence between them? He appreciated the previous quietness from him, though. His thoughts accompanied him. They conversed with him. His thoughts immersed him in a whirl of activity. They snared his attention. He could not say the same for most people.

[ u n d e r ]

"Not with, for. Since we met." He suddenly answered as his feet touched the outside rim of the city square. Realizing his aloof behavior might chase off Reed, he begrudgingly determined he would comply with the other magician's attempts to fill the air with small talk. He halted abruptly and turned. Perhaps he should have stopped gradually, rather than quickly. The brunette almost collided into Ariel. He stared at Reed with concern, hidden behind present annoyance. "Be careful," he irately mumbled.

[ p r e a s u r e ]

"We could, true." But the wanting to know nagged at him. His curiosity pushed him to deny the proposition he, without an agenda, would be most happy with. He already decided he would sort the rumors and the truth. Why did people call Reed a prodigy? What better way than to observe him? Like a guinea pig! Well, perhaps not so much like a guinea pig. That was beside the point. He spared no truth. "But," he smirked, "I'm curious about the talent people are always whispering about you."

Reed was taken aback by Ariel's forthright comment. Talent? Were people mentioning his talent? Maybe the novelty of being the first male magician in his family was a topic of discussion in some Magnostadt communities but he didn't think his reputation exceeded expectations. Nevertheless, Reed held firm, offering to answer the question as honestly as possible.

"Talent? I wouldn't say I have...any...talent. I'm just a little new for everyone so I think they assume I'm made from the stuff of legends. Not true though, I have just have an insatiable passion for music!" Reed's face lit up with excitement and his face with a little flush, embarrassed to be talking about himself. He didn't respond well to praise though he rarely ever received it, still it was uncomfortable to think there were rumors about that Reed was talented. He puffed his chest out, placed his hands on his hips, and flashed a confident smile before proposing their next plan.

"So should we take the south side first then? We can loop around and take the west and east side after doing a thorough search?" Reed pointed toward the south side, where he was sure he spotted a gaseous creature in the distance. He thought his eyes failed him at first and vigorously rubbed them before looking again, only to clearly see the gaseous creature in the distance. Without a word, Reed took off, forgetting to alert his magician companion before sprinting into the distance, wand drawn and ready to cast multiple amounts of magic at the foes in the distance. The gaseous creature oozed a repugnant odor and its movements could be likened to the sound of loud belching noises that permeated the air around Reed. He almost vomited from the stench of the enemies, but they merely fluttered about, one of them stringently watching Reed's movements. Reed was sure he could take one of the miscreants out now, especially considering the remaining three were wandering about somewhere near. Seeing this as a golden opportunity, Reed flicked his wrist, stimulating the sound rukh in the air, and slash his wand, putting forth more effort in this spell.

"Forza!" Reed chanted, putting forth more energy into this spell and scaled the spell. He crept toward the gaseous creature, its weird tentacles and thick armor of smog polluting the air around it, causing Reed's eyes to water. Utilizing insurmountable force of will, Reed held back the urge to vomit, but still focused most of his energy on hunting the creature. When it seemed as though the little bugger hovered just low enough to be at an appropriate level near enough to Reed's body, he slashed at the creature, causing enough damage to whisk it out of the air and cause it to evaporate out of existence. He sustained the sword of sound, not wanting to get caught empty handed.

"Hey! Ariel! Look! I got one!" Reed smiled in delight as he managed to succeed in taking out one of the monsters. However, the stench still stunk up the air and after yelling to his companion, Reed let out a slight sputtering of puke to his right, unable to contain his insides anymore.

Just for a moment, for a fleeting second, he smiled kindly. It was an uncontrolled and honest smile. Right then, he seemed childish, like a pure child. Yet somehow, despite the softness of his smile, a chilly sort of cold intimidated any onlooker. It came from his eyes. It was as if his eyes turned pure white: isolated, mysterious, icy, and entrancing. The best word that might fit it could only be sadness. Those sort of looks never last long, though. His face soon resumed its regular, annoyed posture.

"Maybe you really are useless, but I'm still curious," he persisted. He fought back a smile. Something about Reed reminded him of a child. The way he took Ariel's words was so child-like. He spoke like a child who had yet to be taught the proper response when a stranger praised him. He reluctantly admitted he found it somewhat cute. It would be pushing it if he said he found Reed's behavior adorable, but it was somewhat cute. Note he said "somewhat cute", so he did not mean "cute". Just "somewhat cute". He kept this to himself, not wanting to inflate Reed's apparently easily inflated ego any further.

"Yeah, we can head to the west side and check that area out after we clear the south side. Then that leaves the east side. According to Schwartz, the west and east side will be the most difficult to clear up. So-" He stopped in mid sentence as Reed took off. In doing so, the green magician further annoyed the already irritated black magician. He cursed under his breath, "Shit, that idiot's already taking off." Realizing the moment he caught up with Reed, a battle would ensure, he prepared himself mentally. He hurriedly recounted every movement and every word for ever spell he knew of. The quickest and most effective way to take down the creatures would be to use his "scimitar" after a long distance blast. Judging by their abilities, it would take a little more than a simple maneuver. He sighed, not really looking forward to whatever he'd have to do. Damn, he hated fighting.

He paused before he jumped into the fray. He watched from a distance as Reed took down one creature. Ariel rolled his eyes when Stupid puked. Serves him right! Realizing Reed wouldn't be of much more help, he prepared himself to take care of the remaining three creatures. He wisely distanced himself from the creatures, not really wanting to deal with their gaseous clouds. He enjoyed his insides inside of him, thank you very much!

"Hern mayn ruf aun ovuervelm mayn shunim," he whispered under his breath. He pointed his staff towards the nearest creature, watching his target with intense concentration. It fell in mid-air. He quickly closed the gap of fifteen meters, his staff forward and direct. A curved sword, obviously influenced by his time spent in Heliohapt, followed him loyally. At a six-meter distance, he swiped his staff across the air in front of him. The scimitar flew forward and sliced the third creature in half. At this point, the final little shit had moved far away from Ariel. Twenty meters to be exact. Ariel, not in the mood to chase after the little bugger, simply pointed his staff at the annoying thing. He put all his hatred into his words, "Hern mayn ruf aun ovuervelm mayn shunim."

He glanced back at Reed, his features twisted into a scowl. "And that's three!"

Reed watched in utter amazement as the black magician tore through the remaining magic constructs as if they were tissue paper. Ariel's skill with magic was awesome and he was able to deftly avoid the gaseous creatures' awful stench was a bit more inspired than Reed's method of slashing the thing out of existence. He walked back over to Ariel as his wand ended vibrating the rukh around it. He felt a little woozy, as if the smell was still in his nose, and went up to congratulate the fellow.

"That...was incredible! Was that strength magic?" He asked, curiously scanning Ariel up and down. Perhaps it was the haughty demeanor of this man but he could not help but size him up. There was far more to this magician than quips and a comfortable job working under an academy professor. He could be mean, he could think of Ariel as his competition, but instead he felt it was better served to befriend this man. Perhaps there was more to learn from friendship than from incessantly competing with people of similar talents.

"Do you mind, um, would you mind asking Professor Schwartz if I could learn under him as well? I'm just...a fledgling but I work hard. It's important that I get better..."

"The sword was. It was a concept I designed back in Heliohapt. Sand, dirt, gravel, any materials, it can all be picked up by gravity magic and basically molded together," he explained. The hint of curiosity in Reed's voice gently lured Ariel from out behind his icy guard. He peered at Reed, re-evaluating him to take into consideration his observations. He could not call him the prodigy rumors whispered about. However, he did admit Reed had potential - as well as an easily inflated ego and a sprinkle of arrogance. Perhaps that was his noble upbringing's influence on him? He wondered if he should criticize Reed on both points. He decided against it. His arrogance also came with a determination. That alone made Reed worth interesting. Ariel had met so many aspiring magicians, warriors, and etc. He had witnessed so many collapsing under the weight of life. He wondered if Reed's hope could battle and win against despair. He was not a sadist, don't get him wrong, but he still found determination an interesting concept.

"I... suppose I might be able to help you there," he cautiously preceded.

Schwartz, an amazing teacher, rarely trained individual students. He sometimes gave lectures, but other than that, Ariel had to wonder why the academy ever bothered to employ Schwartz. He even had his own classroom that he never used. Perhaps it could be attributed to his talent of picking an "interesting" student and basically creating a warlock out of them. But he found so little students interesting. He sought for the "interesting" people in the world to coach. Or at least, that was what he had told Ariel. Most people were not worth his attention, apparently. Unfortunately, Schwartz had placed Ariel in the group that caught his interests for reasons that didn't put Ariel in the "interesting" student body. Or at least, not by Schwartz's old definition of "interesting" students. But after an interesting encounter with each other, Schwartz updated his definition. Or so he said, anyway. Basically, whether Ariel liked it or not, Schwartz was going to bother him.

"But," he smiled dryly, "people like favors in return for favors. I really just have a couple of questions. However, we still have a job to finish. Although, I'm a bit hungry. I'm going to get some food. Don't feel obliged to follow me."
