Job:

It was that time again, Kerum had burnt through his money and it was time to find some more work. It was nice to have a generally endless supply of random jobs to do. It helped someone like himself who really did not have a goal or plan set in motion in live.

He had a general idea of opening his own forge, but he was nowhere near famous or rich enough for that. Fidgeting with his sword he searched the postings. "Slaver huh, I have been needing some practice with my swordsmanship." Kerum muttered to himself as he took the job.

The job giver gave him a map of the city and the place the rumored slave house was. "Got it, be back shortly." Kerum stated pushing the map into his bag and leaving. The request had stated that he could kill them or turn them in. Kerum figured if they gave up he would spare them if not well to bad.

The city was a maze in the outer parts, houses were closer together. The housing in this area was getting worse as well, some houses barely standing. "Well its definitely in a bad neighborhood." Kerum thought to himself.

Looking at the map he found the area that was marked and waited in a nearby alley that gave view to the place. A few hours went by as he scouted it, a few people came and went most were armed.

If Kerum's white clothes were not such a odd sight in the area he would try and see if he could purchase a slave to validate the target. Now though his only choice was to just burst in.

Taking one final deep breath Kerum charged towards the door and slammed it open.  Honestly he was surprised to find that the door was unlocked as it flew open slamming against the wall.  Two gruff voices yelled as he could hear swords being drawn.

"Who is there."  They stated as the came out of the side room both holding short swords.  "You do not belong leave now."  They ordered firmly.

"How about no, and you should surrender."  Kerum stated as he laughed at them.  He was not sure he was going to be able to take the two of them, then the boss walked out a leather whip trailing him.

"Kill him."  The man ordered with little interest snapping the whip for added effect.  The two sprinted across the room at him with surprising speed.  Hissing Kerum used Dive, rolling to the side just as a sword hit the ground.  He had little time to think as the other man turned to engage him.

Pushing himself again he dove to the side again now in a worse position as he was between the boss and the goons.  Kerum reached down and drew his blade, his left hand still going for the sword he had not replaced.  His fighting style was mostly dual wield and without his second he was at a disadvantage.

Charging forward, Kerum quickly gripped his sword with both hands and got low and came up using a Diagonal Slash putting everything he could into it.  The move had caught the guard off guard as the blade sliced through his chest.

Smiling Kerum turned just in time to see the blade of the other guard coming his way.  Trying to move he somehow got out of its direct line as a shallow cut was across his chest.  Wincing in pain he took a step back and looked down to see red spreading on his white shirt.

Growling Kerum charged forward and pulled up his blade driving it into the guards chest, he could feel the warm blood run down the blade onto his hand.  "Scum."  He whispered in his mouth as he died falling backwards.

"Well you are not some weak little punk I see."  The boss stated as his whip snapped out towards Kerum with frightening accuracy.  Taking a step back he watched as the tassels snapped right in front of his face.  The wind from it blew his hair back a bit.

"Thanks, I guess."  Kerum stated as he stalked forward flipping his blade around so that it was facing towards the ground.  He had to get close and the only way to do that was to take a few of his attacks.

The first one came towards him with great speed as he lifted up the blade and used Block.  Taking several more quick steps he closed the ground and spun the blade around and grabbed it with both hands using another diagonal slash.  Kerum aimed just high cutting deeply into the man's shoulder.  "I advise you stay down."  Kerum growled pushing him onto his back with his foot.

Tying the man up he escorted himself through the town, not caring about he looks of his now mostly red shirt.  Tossing him to the authorities he took his money and left, he needed to clean up.
