- Liberating Aosta I:
Job Name: Liberating Aosta I
Job Rank: D
Job Location: Western Front
Job Rewards: 50 Exp / 3,000 Huang
Job Prerequisites: D-Tier, Amaya, Sung-sun, Aoife
Job Overview: Perseus Mythos, an investor who specializes in wares going to and from the Western Front, has asked an assortment of individuals to gather information for him on the town of Aosta. The town has seemingly disappeared from all communications after the Kou presence receded from the mining settlement. Perseus has a vested interest in the town, as they're one of his best investment opportunities. The characters are to gather information from a collection of NPCs in an attempt to ascertain what has happened before communicating the learned information to each other and to Perseus.
Ardan and Mayla Oskhet: Owners of the Burning Lantern. Ardan and Mayla have heard some rumors that the some kou have remained in the area, but are unsure if they're a military presence or not.
Astrid Stygianus: The self proclaimed "Daughter of Styx." Astrid is a powerful diviner that can sense the lingering presence of malicious intent holding the town of Aosta under it's thumb.
Minerva Gladius: A mechanomancer, Minerva is a rather air-headed mage that's far too obsessed with her research. However, she frequented Aosta for materials, and participated in the battle for the town overall. She knows that some of the Kou defected and fled when the battle was over.
*NOTE: As Minerva was my previous character, I am granting this job permission to utilize her as an NPC for the purposes of plot development.

| Amaya sucked her breath in silently, holding her body back from a physical reaction as best she could. It hadn't been that long, had it? Another soft movement had her slipping into the passing crowd, utterly hidden from anyone and everyone by simply existing in plain sight. She would wait. It was obviously the only logical course of action, after all, assumptions only made fools and corpses, and Amaya wasn't keen on becoming either of those. Caution was always the modus operandi, but the Tan family demanded a different level of respect, even if it was their youngest member. Amaya had to be sure, a string of insatiable curiosity following her. A flash of white and a stylized ear that peeked from her pack was all the woman needed to confirm her suspicions. It was indeed the woman she thought. Amaya instantly made herself scarce, disappearing down an alleyway before slipping into the tents and commons of the bazaar. The building was rather...dare she say, dilapidated. Still, it was the lead she had been given, and the woman was intent on following through with the job, at least for the payment she had been promised. Tromun was no Remano. It paled in comparison to the grandeur of the capital city by miles. Still, it was incredibly developed for a frontier town, and the fact that the town had grown large enough to have a visible class divide impressed her. She ran some probability estimates and figured that someone here acted as senator, which meant someone wanted his seat. She sighed, wishing the poor bastard the best of luck before she rapped on the planks of the near-decrepit door. A thunderous rattling and explosive clang greeted her ears, followed by a muffled "Goddammit." She cocked her head to the side, her hands slipping casually to the ends of her scarf. Amaya prided herself on being prepared for a great number of things, but a goliath suit of armor opening the door and beckoning her past the threshold was certainly something she never would have accounted for, not even in her wildest of fantasies. She moved forward utterly stunned as the workplace stretched out before her, the goliath returning to his post in a seeming arena. A tall, pale blonde with startlingly amethyst eyes set her gaze on the woman, stone faced. The facade suddenly broke as her bubbly nature shone through. "Oh! A guest! Damnit!" She flicks her staff from her back, a sudden flurry of seeming automatons shoving unnecessary rubble and debris aside. "Come on, find a seat somewhere...Wherever there's a chair..." She rolled her shoulders back in the inn letting the tension drain from her body. The rubble certainly didn't make for the most comfortable of seats, but it was something she could deal with. Her mind processed the information she had been given. The Kou soldiers had defected from their group as the army began to lose. As a consequence, the soldiers that remained were routed. She could only theorize that these defectors would have lingered somewhere, and could perhaps be the reason Aosta was now cut off, but ultimately, nothing was for certain. She simply eyed Perseus and let the steam from the scalding tea mask her face, her mind wondering precisely who else the buffoon had trusted with this job. |

Name: Nightingale
Tier: D
Type: Bladed Scarf
Material: This weapon is made of a loose fitting fabric meant to disguise the weapon that lies beneath. The weapon is cored beneath the fabric with a segmented steel rod, that is large enough to provide structure, yet still nimble enough to move with near fluidity (Each of these bars is small, roughly 5-6cm in length) The inside of the scarf is affixed with leather mounts sewn into the fabric that hold a plethora of small razor blades spanning the scarfs width. Uncommonly, Amaya has removed some of these razor blades and affixed knives, complimenting her dance-like style of fighting with the tiniest bit of added range.
Appearance: The scarf is nearly black in hue, appearing entirely mundane on the outside with two iron rings at each end to serve as ornamentation. The scarf is 15 cm wide and 136cm long, allowing it to conceal the razors effectively, and the knives as well is coiled properly. The total length of the scarf is extended by an additional 4cm for each iron ring, providing Amaya a handhold
Each razor on the lethal face is roughly 10cm in length, and 2cm in width, and their length runs the width of the scarf every 12cm and they are mounted in leather casings. they can be easily replaced if broken, and the leather is easy to mend.
Of the 11 places where razors would be affixed, places 2,6,and 10 have been substituted with 20cm knives that are 5cm thick at the base and taper like daggers. These hang freely, and perform slashing motions as she spins the scarf around.
The final (roughly) 8 cm of each end are left untouched, as to prevent any noise of the razors from colliding with potential armor.
