Its been a single day with Mordecaiah staying home alone. The Plains were the ideally for his young soul, but it felt odd without Montague. All of it seemed strange that both of them up and left during the night without telling him. Possibly some searching around the house would shed light upon them leaving for a week, but it was night time. Being so peaceful at the time most of the stars were out and Mordecaiah had climbed on to his room. The house was quite old, and hand build by Montague during his younger days when he came to Magnostadt. Folding his arms behind his head and hearing some mooing and oinking from pigs and cows as they soon to slumber.

" Days like these Morde, Days... Like... These... just relax me. " he'd say to himself releasing signs. Moon high in the sky and the light reflecting in his eyes leaving him dazzled at how peaceful it is here. Becoming very relaxed at the moment, Mordecaiah slipped away into his own nap. Mordecaiah entered a peaceful nap from his log day of feeding. Only waking to what seemed like moments to him, but hours later with the sun rising . Roosters were doing that daily wake up call, this making Mordecaiah jump at the noise. Eyes shot and now full conscious sliding toward the edge, Mordecaiah grabbed the edge and flung himself forward into his room hitting the ground.

Gawhing on the ground in agony from how he fell into his room. Crawling to the bathroom to take a shower holding his stomach. Getting over the pain and taking his shower, Mordecaiah went outside to check the mail box. His hair still wet and with only his boots and pants on Mordecaiah say a letter. Opening the letter, it was the caravan that appeared close to the farm a couple of days ago asking for his services and stating that they attempted to make contact with the other two. Seeing in how Montague wasn't here to say no running inside to grab his shirt and cane. Locking the door behind himself, Mordecaiah took off heading off toward Magnostadt City Of Magic gates, to greet the caravan. Letter in hand.

"Morning, Ari!" children shouted as Ariel passed by them. He waved to them, a fond smile spreading all across him. Not surprisingly, most of the children adored Ariel. Because he spent his free time with the children, he had befriended most of them. The children's invigorating spirits rejuvenated his own, especially after long hours of working to improve his abilities. Of course, he enjoyed his walks through the plains, but despite his hermit-like tendencies, he still enjoyed interacting with humans. Just not with adults. They bothered him, so he never attempted to filter his typically brazen tongue. But today was different. Not only children he willingly complied with, but adults as well. His cheerfulness was both surprising and refreshing. He even waved and greeted a warm hello to adults passing by. Imagine everyone's shock when they noticed the normally moody, disagreeable, and blunt magician enthusiastically return 'good morning's. Jaws dropped. It couldn't be! Ariel? Enthusiastic? To them? Impossible! Where was Ariel and who had replaced him? "Imposter," exclaimed a few even. And who could blame them? Ariel certainly was not acting how he usually behaved. What in the world was going on today?

"Huh? Why is everyone gathering over there…," Ariel wondered as he walked through the great city. He noticed a large crowd gathering in an open area of the city. What in the world? He approached the crowd apprehensively. Carefully, he navigated through the sands of people. As he emerged from the coarse collection of particles, he spotted a caravan. A lightening-striking resemblance to a particular caravan he had recently encountered occurred to him. Woah, woah, woah! Hold on a second! How did they enter Magnostadt? Weren't these non-magician merchants? Maybe they were not magicians, but they possessed magic anyways. Or at least, they had a borg. Huh... Weird.

xxxxxx After escorting the caravan to their village, they gave him a ride back to the city. It was late but oddly enough there was no one to bother them. A strange feeling brewed in his gut. Like they were being followed. It could have been the constant peace that unsettled the magician. Setekh was always on edge ever since the incident. There was rarely a moment where he could relax. Yet that night, he finally got some good rest. It was morning when they arrived. They seemed to have some sort of pass in order to get into the city with their wares. He wasn't quite sure why they wanted to get inside. There was very little merchandise with them and they were supposed to stop by one of the tribes first. A few tribesmen they met along the way seemed nervous about entering the city. Entering Magnostadt, they got the usual nasty looks from the magicians they passed. Though they hadn't even gotten past a few roads before the strange tribesmen hopped off the carts. Brave. That was one word to describe them. In a city filled with magicians, they decided to try robbing the carts. Naturally, they were unorganized; leaderless. But caused a scene, none the less.

Startled awake from the commotion, Setekh peaked his head out of the back of the wagon. He kept his staff close to him, naturally. All he could see was the citizens of Magnostadt crowded around them and a few tribesmen were taken hostage in exchange for goods. 'Are these people stupid?' he wondered, stepping out of the wagon. Part of him wanted to just walk away but he felt bad just leaving it like this. They didn't seem to notice him there so he took the opportunity to aim his staff at the man to his right. "Mabufu." Scaled, from the extra magoi poured into the spell, two shards shot out at the man. He turned to the other man and repeated the same process. With a mutter of the command, "Mabufu," these impacted the other man before he could more or less react. The others and the crowd seemed rather confused as to who cast the two spells. Although anyone who was a magician could see the subtle fluttering of blue rukh around the cart he was in. Setekh wasn't sure if he killed the bandits but unfortunately, the hostages had their stomachs slit open right before the shard even reached them. Pools of blood gathered where they laid but it wasn't clear who's blood was who. The shards of ice still lodged within the cavities of the bandits began to melt making the puddles into a frothy mess.

Humid and dry. The dirt trail narrowing each passing second as Mordecaiah, traveled alone toward the city. Locks of hair drooping down along the side of his cheek, than off the side by a nice breeze to help with the heat. It seemed like he walked for an hour, but it wasn't too far from the farm. The red still in the view whenever he turned around to look in the direction he left. Eventually it was gone from sight, and loneliness took it hold around his shoulders. What is surly to come out of being hired help? He'd shrug at the thought and continued, tugging at his collar. The heat had caught up to him making him short of dry mouthed. Waving his cane in the air, a small swarm of blue birds came and flew into Mordecaiah mouth. Turning into fresh refilling water as he felt the cool refreshment go down his throat. A little drip from his chin and down to the soil beneath his feet as the path connecting the narrow strip appeared and presented the city.

" Almost there. Just a little more, Morde " saying to himself. Carriages with small donkeys were lined up and ready to make it too the market. Being shoved off the road that grew wider and wider. In the past couple of hours it seemed extremely vague and boring on the plain front, but quite with a breeze. He had stains around his shirt of dirt and sweat, but the people whom road in carriages just keep passing him by as they all soon to peer into the line of Magnostadt. The memory of helping the caravan back than flashed into his eyes, helping him recognized the correct band of wagon by color and essentially the people whom were in distress. More importantly it would've been nice to speak with the two magicians that were there during the whole thing. His face holds a grimace for a second as the sweat drips down his forehead, and the gate was in site. Going up to the gate, he met the gate keeper, or whatever the man was. He held a large hammer probably testing someone's might, but Mordecaiah didn't understand so he'd listen to him speak. " Perform Borg! For Entry " The man requested. Mordecaiah just nodded and than awaited for the man to swing. His hands pulsing with veins and raising up the large hammer crashing it down toward his head, instantly the borg raised and reflected the mans might back at him. " Your good to go " He said as if nothing happen, so Mordecaiah walked right into the city.

The roads turned to cobble, but it was clear where commotion had just happened. Loud screams of people and gasps occurred. Thoughts about the bandits could be true and they slipped in, but how? How would they enter, but than a blue birds traveled into the sky. The same color he uses mainly, but he only knows one other person. " It's the other guy. I never got his name, but he had a weapon? wand? " He'd explain to himself rushing over readying his cane for battle. Bundled around as the two men lost there lives so the savages of bandits, Mordecaiah knew by the Ice it had to be the guy from before whom killed two out of five of them. Tapping the ground beneath himself and blending along with the crowd readying his spell. Blue rukh had gathered and ready for him, as he added more magoi into the spell. "Vandens Kolonėlė" He'd whisper to himself. The bandits swung at another hostages aiming to kill them with a gutless slash but was intercepted by crashing whirlpool of water catching them off guard as two got sweep up easily from lack of attention. Even the dead bodies of the hostages, and bandits were swept away due to being caught up in it. " News Flash? Your out of season and be harvested! " he'd make a farm pun as he'd present himself.

His eyes caught black. A flash of gold spun across his vision. He wondered if perhaps he had glimpsed the older of the blue magicians he met yesterday. If so, nothing bound his conscience to stay. The black-haired magician could take care of himself. He lingered for a moment before turning aside. A stir in the crowd drew Ariel's momentary curiosity. He spared a fleeting glance, not surprised to see fluttering blue rukh. Ariel snorted. What with the copious amount of blood, perhaps he ought to intervene, for the sake of the remaining bandits. He paused, unsure. During his moment of hesitation, a spray of water whished across the scene.

He never noticed the other blue magician until a wave of swirling water collided violently with two alive bandits and swept corpses and all away. Ariel made a face, disgusted by the thought of corpses. Something about the presentation's style reminded him of the younger magician he met in the Plains. The terrible pun confirmed his suspicions. He did not recall the blue magicians, nor him, ever introducing themselves. Perhaps he might learn their names after they finished torturing the poor bandits. He shook his head in amusement. He supposed the fault lay in the bandits for behaving recklessly. Why had they even launched an attack inside the walls of Magnostadt? Did they have a death wish?

He languidly pointed his wand towards the remaining bandit, bored and impatient. A moment passed and the tip of his wand glowed strongly. Two orbs launched in succession. Among a crowd of magic users, the bandits never spotted the hidden magician. He wondered if the strangely illogical attack against the caravan related to the two blue magicians. It didn't make sense for a measly group of petty bandits to attempt a raid inside the walls of a city, especially with only five participants. How did they plan on fighting their way out of the city? In a city full of capable and able magicians, were they stupid or what?

Ariel sought for the answers obsessively. He mind buzzed with questions of "why"? He slipped expertly through the crowd of curious onlookers. From the bundle of people, he emerged at the entrance of the caravan. Remnants of blood remained after the wave's wake. Ariel blatantly ignored the bloodstains. He disliked such vivid red. He poked his head inside the entrance. "What a mess." He snorted at the inevitable destruction. His gaze drifted to a familiar face from yesterday inside. What was this guy doing in the caravan anyways? He resisted the urge to ask.

"Hello again."

xxxxxx The flaps of cloth leading into the wagon swung open. Sunlight swarmed into the dark space. Setekh turned his head around to see who it was. The somber looking magician from the other day. He looked back down to what he was doing prior. He started shoving things into his bag so he could get out of there as soon as possible. Turning to leave, he got uncomfortably close with the magician's face. "Hey," he said, smiling sheepishly before gently moving past him to slip off the cart. Splash. "Oh." His feet met with a shallow puddle of water as he landed. The crowd began to disperse as the authorities arrived. "Hey, smiley," he whispered, trying to grab onto Ariel's arm. "You don't want to be caught up with them, let's go." Setekh attempted to pull Ariel towards the other blue magician as nonchalantly as he could.

xxxxxx "Hey, if it isn't farmer boy," he chuckled, "You're gunna wanna get going." The warning was clearly written all over his face as he gave it. No one particularly noticed them leaving yet as they were all focused on the dead bodies that had gotten swept away. Setekh would attempt to grab onto Mordecaiah as well to lead them away from the scene. He would stop in an emptier street, sitting down on a wooden box. "That was... interesting," he sighed, leaning back. Setekh was quite relieved that no one important followed them away. Though he did feel bad leaving the merchants to deal with that mess all by themselves. He would have to make it up to them later. "Who are you two, anyways? Stalkers?" he teased, looking over at the two magicians, if they followed him. He would take off his shoes to wring out the water that got caught up in them. "Nice spell, farmer boy," he would mutter, putting the damp shoes back onto his feet.

Looking through his eyes within the last man fell. A dark skinned man travelled through the remainder of what was left of his ability. Haven't caster away bodies last thing he knew people were ripping behind him like squirrels running across grass. A cold hand touched his arm without knowing, but his eyes locked upon the dark skin than a blur as it just ran along with him willingly. Leaving the scene of blood, ice, water, and whatever material the pavement was.

Entering the alleyway with two magicians, Mordecaiah eyes scanned them over as he knew he couldn't be here long and needed to leave. " Sorry I'm in a rush, but I can answers questions quickly. " Saying in a soft tone still audible. Standing tall using his fingers to count how many things he planning to say to both of them. " My name is Mordecaiah, I wasn't stalking you either. Upon an small letter the caravan requested me to come and help escort them, but given what I saw earlier it seems unlikely. Thanks for the complicating my spell I don't know how, but the blue birds taught it too me. Anyways I'm making this short and hope to see y'all again, but I must leave. " speaking in a rush he pushed off turning on his heels and traveling off to the gate. Moving quicker than how Setekh, had gripped them and disappear in the wake of people rushes.

He allowed himself to be dragged. He resisted his urge to snap. He understood why the blue magician dragged him away. Panic. Fear. They were better off avoiding the authorities, honestly. Especially after witnessing the death of two bandits by the hands of the very same magician dragging him to who knows where. Actually, now that he thought about it, he was a little stupid to be allowing a random person he did not even know - and who had called him "smiley" of all names - pull him around like a ragdoll. He grimaced. The comparison with a ragdoll seemed a bit off. A ragdoll was a gloomy, tattered thing. Well, in his mind, anyway. He was neither, thank you very much! There he went, off on a tangent. His mind seemed to be wandering more frequently than usual.

Farm boy... Right, the other blue magician. He did not look. He could not, for some reason, glance up. Instead, he glanced askew. He could not explain in the moment that feeling which heaved his neck with pounds of rocks. It felt similar to lethargy, but the distinct feeling of something blocking his actions was present. It was as if something did not want him to look up. Perhaps that was his subconscious preventing him from lifting his head. He did not dwell on it for long, though. It did not bother him. He was content with his head to the side. It was not like it would kill him or anything. It was fine. Everything was fine as it was. Right. Right? Well, everything in his small world, anyways. Right.

"Yeah," he agreed in an absentminded vagueness.

He stared at the other two, and at the same time, he could not see them. Or at least, if he were to recount his memory for that moment, he would find a troublesome cloud keeping him from recalling those faces. In other words, he was not really paying attention. His thoughts pulled his eyes below the water. Hazy shapes and colors made up the world above the water. But it wasn't to an indistinguishable point. They weren't exactly blobs - yet.

He blinked, having been pulled out of his thoughts by that familiar voice. Farm boy. He watched the brunette disappear into just another person among hundreds. Why did it feel like goodbye? Not just goodbye, but Good Bye. Perhaps it was how fleeting that moment seemed, but he could not help but wonder if he would ever meet - what did he say his name was? Mordecaiah, that was it. He wondered if he would ever encounter Mordecaiah again... That was a ridiculous thought. Of course he would. He would stumble upon Mordecaiah's farm someday again.

He glanced to the remaining person. He stared for a moment, then left. Quietly and as unobtrusively as he could. Just as people slipped in and out of his life, he slipped in and out of the lives of others.
