Julius had been wanting to go to Kou for quite a while now. Hearing of all the civil war and internal fighting that’s been going on, he’d only been interested. People had been picking sides, and the pirate wanted everything to do with it. Where war is, money is. Obviously, Julius needed money. From Reim, Julius hitched a ride aboard a Reim nobleman’s ship. He’d enlisted as a sailor. However, the ship didn’t feel all smooth-sails a plenty considering all the magic weapon cannons stacked on the different decks of the galleon. It kinda made him feel as if he were aboard a warship rather than a luxury cruise.

The captain of the ship was incredibly strict and constantly had a watchful eye upon the crew who’d been paid more than they should. You could only guess the captain was paid the most considering how vigilant he was. It almost got annoying at the constant bickering the captain did on the littlest of things. Fellow crew members got tired of it real quick, because they almost instantly felt necessary to stage a mutiny. Julius wasn’t instantly onboard with that plan, it could lead to some serious legal issues if they weren’t careful with it. The best punishment you could get for mutiny was death after all. So for the most part, Julius stayed out of such plans.

Two weeks passed by and Julius had found out that on the ship, there had been a  beautiful broad. She’d constantly been staring out her windows to see the sailors at work. The sailors themselves, had been really into plotting this mutiny at that point as the captain hadn’t let up on them. They were one-way, but the trick about them was that you could see through them if you got close enough, and that’s exactly what Julius did. The girl was staring off into space out the windows, she didn’t even notice Julius approaching until he put his face against the glass, putting a hand over the top of his eyes to block the sun out to get a better view of what lye on the other side. It was a start of a little side relationship between the pirate and the nobleman’s wife. She was extremely young compared to the nobleman, and the nobleman looked too old to do a very good job in bed. So this mutual relationship worked out quite nice.

A week before they’d arrive at their destination, Julius had been caught. Pantsless and pleasured, with an arm around the girl he’d been using, he smiled in satisfaction. The nobleman however wasn’t in the ship’s study and decided to go take a nap rather than doing.. noble things. Walking up the stairs along the side of the ship, he made his way to the cabin. Upon opening the door to his cabin, he’d be met with the surprise of the salty dog and his wife. He stared for a second in utter disbelief. That stare quickly turned into a face of complete anger.

Julius smile quickly turned into a frown as he heard the words, “You bitch!” from his side. The sailor quickly jumped out from under the covers. The noble-mans attention quickly changed from his wife to the marauder. “I swear on my ancestors, I’ll have both of your heads!” he shouted, as two guards came running up the stairwell behind the couple in the bed, opening the other door. Julius took a split second to look behind him before running straight in the direction of the nobleman, shoving him out of the way, which in turn, knocked him completely off the ship, and darting down the stairs, naked.

Upon hitting the crew deck, where all the sailors were working, they all looked at Julius and his dramatically muscular body awkwardly for a few seconds. The salty dog stood still, embarrassed for a few seconds. Julius could only give a cheeky smile before tilting his head and shrugging as the guards caught up with him. The guards were looking over the guardrail to see if they could locate the man overboard. Apparently, the noble man didn’t float.

A couple more seconds of awkward passed before Julius grinned and said, “Mutiny?” The crew all drew and raised their swords in unison. “Good,” Julius continued as he pointed at the guards hanging over the guardrail with a finger. He brought a hand to cup his exposed manhood to potentially hide it. The crewmembers charged up the ship’s side stairs to fight and kill the guards. The mutiny was swift. Crewmembers split up into two parties; those who wanted to help the mutiny, and then those that wanted to save the captain. You can see which side had more members. It was essentially Reim guards against sailors. On the main deck, the sailors lined up, and heavily outnumbered the opposing side. The guards from Reim all gulped repeatedly at what they’d have to fight. However they still had a chance. Usually fight like this were fought between two leaders. Whether through negotiation or swords, the clash would be solved.

Julius, fully clothed with both swords of his at his sides, emerged from his new crew, who all had their swords up and were ready to kill all of the guards and call it a day, because screw tradition. Brutus, Julius’ monkey, had also been upon his shoulder, curious of all the commotion on the ship. Julius however wanted a bit of a challenge. The former captain of the ship emerged from the nervous guards. He looked young and cocky, compared to the old hardened crew he’d been ordering around. He also had red hair, which usually pointed to a Fanalis. The guard captain near instantly raised his sword as a smile raised his sword and pointed it to Julius.

“Julius, is it? I’ll give you one chance for you and your posse of street rats to surrender, or you and your baboons will sleep with the fish,” the captain spoke. Julius gave the captain a small grin. The crew chuckled at the former captains negotiative terms. Brutus pointed and laughed at the captain.

“Deepest apologies for demoting you Cap’n, but uhhh..” Julius spoke as he laid both hands upon his sword handles and drew both at the same time. With a quick spin of the swords, he had a firm grip upon them both. Brutus climbed down the salty dogs shoulder and ran back to the crew. His eyes intensified and focused upon the captain. “I doubt you want this to be a suicide mission, your life isn’t the only one at stake here,” the salty dog warned, looking at the rest of the guards. “So please, put down your sword, don’t make this a massacre,” Julius continued, as he positioned himself into an offensive stance, ready to dash in and end the captain based on his next decision.

The captain also maintained an offensive stance, which was practically a death sentence. Two swords against one never worked. Julius sighed and closed his eyes. A second couple seconds passed by without the captain responding and only glaring. “Fine then,” spurted Julius as he dashed straight into the captain. The crew cheered. The swordplay near instantly started. The pirate started off with a couple basic attacks, in which the captain parried well. Virgil smirked as the clashing swords sparked. However, Julius suddenly brought his leg up and performed a power kick which sent the captain flopping back into the guards. The crewmen laughed at the kick, it sent the captains hat flying off his head.

The captain didn’t find it so funny as the guards caught him and threw him back into the fight. Julius’ grin only widened as the Fanalis raised his sword once more, ready to tango. He then dashed straight into the face of the captain and performed a flurry and started bringing sword upon sword down upon the captain, which he had a hard time stopping. Julius hit the captain twice with his Blarney Stone, and scaled the ability six times.(70 stamina). The pirate then jumped backwards to give the former captain some space. Virgil laughed as the Fanalis had a harder time getting back to his original stance this time around.

However, Julius wouldn’t give the Fanalis the chance to strike, he’d been out of breath. The pirate, with a swift forward jump into the air, performed a critical strike upon his opponent, which brought the captain to his knees, dead. The crew cheered afterwards and all gave Julius appreciative pats on the back. They ended up not killing the guards, and just locking them up in the brig temporarily. Julius claimed his captain’s hat off of the floor and placed it upon his head. He was the captain now, and this vessel was his. The noblewoman however, suffered the same fate, it was bad luck to have a woman aboard the ship after all. Julius didn’t mind it, she wasn’t loyal in the first place. Upon seeing land, the guards and lady were released into the wilderness with all their belongings. They were really just thankful they hadn’t been killed. A town wasn’t too far from where they released them, so they’d be safe. In that week, Julius proved his worthiness of being captain, and the crew slowly began to trust him.

Instead of going on the designated route to Magnostadt, Julius instead, sailed straight to Kou. The journey was hard, but the ship sustained. There was enough supplies on the ship to make the trip. It was faster by ship then by foot after all. The only troubles they faced was some minor storms, nothing to tip his new-found ship over. Upon meeting land, Julius told his new crew that they could do anything they wanted as long as they came back in a month. He wouldn’t pay them the other half of what the nobleman owed them if they didn’t. This is the next step in Julius’ story, but for now, it was time to find some work in this, foreign land..

Julius had finally been in Kou. A couple months had passed since the last time he’d stepped on land. So he had to get used to the feeling of his toes being on solid ground once more. Being on land sometimes made him feel sick. “Anti-motion sickness” as he called it. In the end of it all, Julius had been here for a reason, and that reason was for the war. This war could change a lot, and he liked change. He also liked money, and war had offered both. Julius’ ship was his home, yet he was constantly working. Over the month, he slowly rested himself back up to full stamina.

The civil war, was regrettably, the talk of the port. People were going to war over tradition. It wasn’t anything new or surprising, but the common people have turned against their king. A son against his father, former ruler against a current ruler, and the past against the present. The son, Yoshiro, had changed Kou and it’s ways. The father, Gao Yuaoaia- or something like that, who was confirmed dead, hated it, and decided to rise from the grave. The stories were wild. Julius hated the thought of going backwards. He’d taught himself to keep moving forward, and change was key. Although not a military man, he wished to help Yoshiro in the end. It was his final decision. The more the pirate thought about it, the more he was inclined to join the cause. Julius was ready to make his decision. One that gave him a worthy reward along with making the right decision within this war. Yoshiro. Moving forward was the only way.

Julius tipped his newly found hat over his eyes as he slowly drowned into his sleep. With a cocky pose, he laid back on his wooden bunk. The chain however, suddenly broke, and then Julius fell to the floor, grunting painfully. Karma?
