xxxxxx The fanalis waited silently outside on a bench until it was dark enough. Mars occasionally came out to feed her but she refused to move. Her mind was working out what she needed to do. Soon, light from the moon was the only thing that illuminated the city aside from the lanterns that hung from windows and buildings. Diana went back inside to retrieve the thug from earlier. He would lead her to the place where his supposed boss was. She took him by the back of his shirt and dragged him out of the tavern. Some laughed at and ridiculed him as he shamelessly scrambled to keep up with Diana. "H-Hey w-wai--!" She threw him out the door and onto the ground. His hands were still bound behind his back, making it hard for him to get up. "Tch," she scoffed, roughly handling him to put him on Pluto's back. "Don't move," she growled. Diana climbed up on top of her dog, holding onto both him and the thug behind her as they began to trot off.

xxxxxx "Tell me him where he needs to go," she said sternly, digging her knuckles into his back. "Ah ah ah! Please! A-Alright... u-uhm..," he needed a minute to think but Diana didn't have the patience. "Ow ow ow! Okay! Okay! I-It's near the h-house! T-The barn! I-I swear I-I'm telling the truth!" The man was truly terrified of Diana and Pluto silently prayed he didn't relieve himself on his back. "The barn..?" she questioned, squinting her eyes in thought. Pluto picked up the pace as he knew where he was going. The man cried and complained about his situation but it fell on deaf ears. No one would help him at this point. It wasn't long until they arrived at the same farm from earlier. There was a faint stench of rotting flesh coming from the field. Though it was expected, the body Pluto left wouldn't have been cleaned up. It still made her a bit nervous. The thug was a lot quieter now, whimpering as she tried to wiggle from Diana's grasp.

xxxxxx "P-Please! You're here! L-Let me go! H-He'll kill me!" he panicked, still trying to break free. Diana let him go and he fell off the dogs behind with a thump. He didn't bother thanking her before he managed to pick himself up and run off. The sound of metal slicing cleanly against flesh and bone followed by faint last words lingered in the air for a moment. Diana turned her head suddenly to see that the man she'd just let go was sliced cleanly in half. But there was no one to be seen. When she turned back there was a note in her lap.

Come to me.

xxxxxx It was eerie enough to send chills down her spine. There wasn't much she could do aside from abide to this person's wishes. "Let's go," she commanded. Pluto hesitated a bit but trotted over to the barn anyway. He whimpered as she got off his back when they got there. That wasn't something he did often. Diana was as anxious as ever. The barn doors opened slowly by themselves. Diana was still weary but she stepped in carefully. Looking around to see if she could spot any traps. The whole building was empty. Pluto made his way in and then the doors crashed closed behind them. Whoever they were dealing with... was either very resourceful or fast. The noise made Diana look behind her and standing behind her was exactly what she was looking for. Her heart stopped in fear-- she didn't expect to be this close. "Hello," said the man, lifting up Diana's chin with a grin on his face. Pluto went to bite him to defend his master but the man simply blocked it with his massive sword.

xxxxxx "Keep it down, would ya?" he requested, pushing Diana to the side and upper cutting Pluto with his blade. He cried out in pain as the sword sliced cleanly through his flesh, leaving a good cut. The blade was sharper than Diana had thought. To cut Pluto so severely was a feat in itself. "Where are those women you took?" asked Diana, charging at him to land a solid punch into his gut which he allowed to hit him. He spit out blood and saliva on her face, smirking at her. "Is this just a game to you?" she growled, attempting to punch him again but missing. He was fast enough to jump back out of the way. "Capio," she instructed as Pluto immediately grabbed the side of the man. "Sh*t..," he spit, stabbing his sword up at Pluto's mouth forcing him to let go. Diana let the opening get her close enough to punch him straight in the face.

xxxxxx But as she did so his sword was thrust into her flesh partially before he fell limp, unconscious. Diana gasped as the pain radiated through her body. The heavy sword sloppily fell out of her wound and onto the ground. She held her stomach tightly to try and stop the bleeding. Mars arrived just in time as Diana began to pass out from blood loss. He managed to get her and Pluto back to town. The man was taken into the authorities but the women were still missing, presumed dead. "Diana..." She woke up to his hand caressing her face. With not much thought she swiped it away. She could still feel the soreness of her wound as she tried to get up but his hand made her lay back down. "Rest for now," he said, looking away from her. "Yeah," she sighed, picking at her nails. "Don't worry the guy was arrested. Good job," he praised, messing up her hair. After a few moments of silence he said his farewells and left. Diana took a few days to recover but she was finally back on the road again with Bellona by her side again. It wouldn't be long till she needed to go to Kou to help Rima find her brother. But there were rumors of a civil war brewing, she needed to be prepared.
