The sun shine brightly above the port of Kou. The star was in the middle of the sky, filling all who walked beneath it with energy and bestowing light upon the town. Everyone seemed busy with everything however. The streets were filled with common people, constantly moving, stopping practically equaled out to getting trampled. The marketplace looked as if the maximum capacity of people it usually would hold was doubled. The docks weren’t really filled to the brim with ships though.

Julius had finally landed in Kou with a brand new ship and crew. Not a lot of people really turned their heads seeing a stolen Reim boat considering all the conflict amongst the people due to the civil war, the boat would be the least of their problems. For the next month, Julius would need to find work to occupy his time, and now that he was sure that he’d been more powerful than before, he’d willingly take those jobs that looked dangerous to the commoner’s eye. The pirate stood in front of the Kou job board. It was filled to the brim with work, however most seemed either below what he was looking for or insanely difficult when it came to combat alone.

Julius would need to find a partner of sorts, and most of his crew was scattered about, and probably didn’t have too much experience when it came to anything other than sailing the wretched seas. So he couldn’t ask them. Usually, people who sought out work appeared at the board. So, he took a job off of the board randomly and held it as he backed up to the other side of the road. He sat on a bench and waited patiently, watching the board intently. Two hours passed, and Julius passed out on the bench.

Aseroth, pushed the doors away to the tavern, walking into the bright sun of the fresh day. New ships from Reim coming in as he just took in serval breathes looking down at his hands. The cuts from his previous wounds appearing as scars now and feeling pretty weird, he step forward the sun brimming down on his forehead as he stood tall. Reaching into his pocket to look at the address, Reggie, gave him, beginning to walk there to the port board.

Passing through the marketing district seeing it lively as every today even though civili war has just broken out with people still making tactical plans. Feeling quite famish after walking the distance to the port, going over to an sea food booth selling fresh imported shellfish from the tropics of Balbadd. The lovely merchant man offer Aseroth, a deal for the fish giving him half off pricing while also willing to wrap it up for him telling him about how today a good day for him. Taking the offer as he was already hungry and didn't want to let up this chance at good prices food. Paying the man while receiving the shellfish at the same both of them said thank you as Aseroth walked for the Job board once more. Carrying the food in the palm of his right hand while scanning each booth looking fascinated at each surrounding, the wind picking up with the ocean breeze. Blinking his eyes, while wearing his all white kimono and kusagiri on top, his Icy eyes piercing the eyes of some women along his path until he came across a man sleeping on the bench across from the board. Placing his food down on the benches end and lightly tapping the man to awake him, willingly knowing two things could happen. ' First this man could wake up and attempt to attack me, or two he awakes and be really friendly with other thoughts.. I don't wanna think of three.. three is always the weird ones ' coming to his conclusion while now shaking the older man, but still crouching tall at his side. " Hello Sir, why are you sleeping on this bench? You homeless or just not acustom to how people umm... per say not sleep outside under such conditions. "

Julius had been sleeping soundly, dreaming of happy things for once. The bench was quite comfy apparently. The pirate had his head tilted back over the chair with a little grin plastered on his face. Loud obnoxious snores arose from his figure. In the back of his head, he heard someone speaking to him, but it was distant and his mind decided to ignore him. Julius, in his slumber, raised his hand and lightly caressed the white haired Fanalis’ cheek.

“Mmmm.. Joana, have I ever told you that you have the softest skin?” Julius cooed before dropping his hand back down to his side. A snore followed afterwards, breaking the couple seconds of awkward silence. The pirate’s smile disappeared as his eyes shot open and looked straight into the face of the white-haired man. “Wait.. Joana!” he questioned, looking into the man's eyes. Julius took a couple seconds to recognize who he’d been stroking. He couldn’t identify Joana in Aseroth however, and relaxed quickly after that.

“Sorry friend, my dreams are taking hold of me,” Julius apologized, relaxing against the firm bench. The pirate fixed his hat back into place with a finger. Upon doing so, Julius caught a better glimpse of Aseroth, and he examined him thoroughly. He smiled, seeing the man's sheathed sword. Maybe this man could suit his need as a partner for those more difficult jobs? The robe was something he’d have to look past however, but he could also make due as a guide through this new country. Julius had never set foot in Kou after all.

TThe snoring wasn't the problem that had placed Aseroth face and feeling off, it was something that had never happened unless his mother had rubbed his skin with lotion when he was little. His skin color turned from an pale white to an bright pinkish red expression had taken over. Trying to calm his temper as Julius had finally fallen down to his side and the man had sort of fully woken, still Aseroth trembling with his icy stare into his eyes looking him down before moving his arms up. Indicating he is close to strangling him bare, remembering that he doesn't know if he was in a deep dream? This Jody or Jowly? Or Just this guy having serious people problems.

Positioning his right hand at the forehead of Julius,  than flicking his middle finger at the center trying to fully awaken the man, and start an full conversation with him. Knowing that the roughness if the slap connected wasn't his intention, but it was needed in his thought as he spoke. " Ello, Sir and now wake up. You are sleeping in public area and I would ask you to wake up and please be on your way, but it seems like you were awaiting for someone. " Scaning Julius firgure seeing his pirate kind of attire. " If I may ask though, ehhh Friend, would you happen to be doing an job? Of that board over there? And by chance looking for company. " asking third questions while still not feeling the vibe of the moment.

Julius looked at the man’s hands curiously as they were cupped as if he were about to grapple him. Instead, the man rose a fist to Julius’ forehead, in which he went cross-eyed to keep track of. A sudden flick, and Julius’ head flew back. The force from it was scary, which Julius could only guess that the man had been a Fanalis.. without red hair, a Halfling? Men who are that skinny usually don’t have the strength like that. The pirate rubbed his forehead with a hand sloppily, trying to wipe away the sudden pain. Eventually it faded and Virgil would speak.

“I guess I deserved that,” Julius admitted, chuckling with a grin. The Fanalis had peaked the salty dog’s interest upon the talking of a job. Luck always was on his side. It made him think about playing a few games of poker later. The thought made him chuckle once more.

“As a matter a fact, I am. However, before you ask for my help, I want a name,” Julius spoke sarcastically, leaning back, throwing his arm over the chair. His smug grin only widened. He’d made a name for himself networking over the years, it wouldn’t stop there. Allies were always a valuable asset. Enemies were just another expense. Expenses were never in his taste.

Noticing he knocked Pony-tailed man back with an strong force from the flick, thinking the flick wouldn't have been as strong. Hearing the man ask for his name, Aseroth thought about weather or not to disclose it but nothing could really do harm seeing as he didn't have any hostile nature towards him. " The name is Aseroth De Lucas II, its a lot on the tongue so call me Ase. " Grinninng while telling the Pony-tail man, continuing with some more. " Anyways, do you care to tell me your name while we walk ? And by walk, I mean to head in the direction of saided job. " his glare in the eyes of the man while noticing the firm shave of his goatee. Proceeding to rub his chin feeling the smooth skin, putting his head down knowing his facial hair isn't growing in soon, with an chuckling to himself.

Moving aside to pick up his shellfish he just brought. ' I might as well learn some things bout my new.. uhh friend.. recently many have been appearing due to the civil war starting, but this works in my favor of becoming known, and having friends to speak about in stories. This shellfish smells good also, I haven't had any from Balbadd before. ' having his good thoughts while thinking of eating the shellfish. He'd wave for Julius to follow him as he'd step back and speak. " Um, Pony-Tail Goatee, If your doing an Job we either need to walk to the gate and head into the mountains or ask around the city. Depends. "

This Fanalis was eager to leave. Julius smelt an ambush waiting to happen. He licked his lips at the thrill of it. Ushered to leave in a jiffy, Julius used the armrest to push himself up from the bench and onto his feet. His first few steps were wobbly. He got the hang of it however. The pirate crumbled up the job poster and fed it into his pocket.

“Sure, sure, sure,” Julius replied, cracking his neck and walking alongside the Halfling. “Name’s Julius Virgil.. Captain Julius Virgil” the pirate answered as he reached to put an arm around his new partner's shoulder, but stopped himself, realizing that Kou tradition of men touching might be different. “I’ll start filling you in.. Well, to start, there is a village deep into the Jade Dragons Mountains, and these people are constantly looking for fights. They’re offering-”

The two had stopped at a few places, including a horse rental service before they made their trip up the mountain.

------------------------Time Skip-------------------------------

Julius smiled as he saw the village in site. It differed in looks from the common mountains. The time was night. Over the three days travel, Aseroth and Julius Virgil got better acquainted with one another. They considered each other friends to say the very least. Neither knew about one another’s past however.

“Finally, we made it, travelling like this tires me out,” Julius complained, cracking his knuckles with a quick flex. He was ready to take this on. He was prepared to kill some fools. “I’ll race you,” uttered Julius as he took off before Aseroth could respond. Upon reaching the village, they’d be greeted by three men who had no weapons and no armor.

However, it wouldn’t be a warm welcome, because they’d all been in a combat stance and looked ready to attack with no visible weapons or armor.

After leaving the marketing district and port, Aseroth went home to change his clothing learning of the details, with Julius arm around him being pretty common. Roaming through our room placing on his new tattered scarf, sea captain long sleeve vest, and cut up formal pants. The color and faint white showing off his white short cut and his icy blue eyes, no under torso as his bare chest was exposed. " Hmm what's this little trinket, looks like an Ankle Braclet, must be something the house maid gave me. " Picking up the Odisha bring his new magic tool by placing it on his right ankle.  Leaving his home to depart in his new attire and with his second piece of equipment.

----------Time Skip-----------

" I seems as the place is in distance, you should be rea- " speaking after Julius before he said I'll race you and taking off to the village of warriors alone. Pouring a bit of his Magoi into the Odisha, sending an invisible wave of sound still on the horse galloping closer to the village getting within 10 meters behind Julius as the three training warriors had appeared as in ambush. As he got in, he rose up to stand on the back of the horse still galloping full speed at one of the training warriors, receiving the surrounding information boosting his awareness as the man near the guard post Leaped from the ground forward about a few centimeters off the ground charging toward the horse, prepping his attack, Aseroth being well aware of this frontal attack, he charged the horse toward the man deciding or  thinking he wouldn't attack the horse.   Aseroth lead the horse in front of the man as decoy, while leaping behind the man and Sending and hard creasent kick toward the man's neck to immobilize him or cause stagger . The man running into the horse harshly using his Shatter strike to wound and knocked the horse Way, keeping his back and neck region vulnerable to the kick, knocking him forward into the ground momentarily . Aseroth keeping his eyes keen as the skid across the dirt and than strafed forward to the back as the man tried to get up, crushing his elbow down into the warriors spinal core around the middle of his back to crack it , The man, grasping for his breathe didn't expect the quick reaction and fluid motion of Aseroth Rolling over to his back and swung his fist off toward the elbow, blocking it with an blow deflecting the elbow while nearly becoming taken out.

Aseroth, elbow stinging from the blow, grinning wildly as he already enjoying himself. The man still on the ground irks Aseroth so he Stomps on the ground, cracking it to keep the man from getting up jogging toward him as he than Threw down multiple barrages of punches to either break his guard, immobilized him, or break his bones leaving him unable to fight further . The poor warrior losing his balance but still keeping his ground game up to par, as he soon begun to throw blocking blows to counter the barrage , but to his dismay Aseroth awareness had been boosted and the blows were being countered meaning they were countering each other. Aseroth, slipped in and Kick to the man's shoulder on his right side, while sending an devasting blow toward his torso breaking through his blocking blows. Slight weezeing could be heard moment she after the strike as the Warrior had been laying with his left hand on a fist imprint on his chest, while his other arm layed outside an small crater with his eyes blank. " Julius, those two are you, I'll be there to assistance you once my fist stop shifting and bleeding, hahaha! " sighing as he was in pain.

Julius’ eyes widened at Aseroth’s combat method. The warriors looked as if they were about to ask why the duo had been there in the first place and were just maintaining defensive stances to protect their homeland for potential invaders. The pirate sighed and between two fingers, gripped the bridge of his nose. He hadn’t planned it to go down like this. Aseroth was a violent one, the hot-headed side of the Fanalis wasn’t uncommon. They should’ve discussed a plan if they were going to enter the battle as they did. Julius took off his hat and put it on the horse’s head. He then dismounted the beast, and with a tap on the horse’s behind did it retreat a couple hundred meters.

The two warriors stood in front of Julius, both ready to take on the pirate. Two against one was scary for Julius. He was a duelist, not meant to be shared. His eyebrows inclined inwards as he put his hands on the hilts of both the swords. Both swords were tied to his waist. With a quick pull, both the swords slid right out of their sheathes. One looked like it was made of lava (which it was) and was forged in hell, and the other looked like a busted-up dull expanded cutting knife. Julius gave both blades a little spin as he licked his salted lips. The wind brushed up against his rough skin, swaying the hairs upon his arms.

Suddenly, the blade of Julius’ lava sword turned from a solid into a shaped liquid of molten rock. The warriors blinked at the weapon before Julius made a swift Molten Slash with his sword amidst the air, throwing a ball of lava straight at the warrior, who was completely unaware of what was going to happen. The warrior was melted, the second warrior however wouldn’t be as foolish. He jumped and put his foot-out mid-air, performing a devastating kick right into Julius’ gut. Unprepared for the sudden speed, the pirate went flying backwards out back into the road. The warrior jumped once more into the air, and intended to land right on top of Julius, but fortunately, the pirate wasn’t out yet, and rolled out of the way just in time. The warrior instead, landed and gave Julius another kick, this one lighter, sending him in the opposite direction.

The pirate flew at least 10 meters backwards, skidding across the ground. He’d been beaten before, but these kicks were devastating to Julius’ inner system. Julius slowly got up off the floor, only to look up to see the warrior standing before him once more, ready to throw another kick.

“Stand up.. boy,” proclaimed the warrior in a serious tone. Julius looked to his left and coughed up some blood, before slowly struggling to get on his two feet. However, the pirate got a strange sudden surge of adrenaline within his system. Julius performed his own power kick and scaled it to add some distance. The warrior was pushed back quite a bit. He smiled in excitement, challenges were what these men strived for after all. Julius raised both swords offensively before he dashed straight into the man in a flurry of swords. The salty dog scaled this ability as well, and the warrior couldn’t keep up with all of the sword swings that came his way. Julius scaled the ability five times before he used crippling sweep. He also scaled that ability. It ended up cutting off the warriors legs. He screamed in pain as he fell to the floor without his feet. The warrior bled out upon the floor, slowly.
After the fight, Julius groaned as he slowly fell to the stone road and lost consciousness. He’d won the battle, but he was going to need to be carried home and nursed to health after it.
