Gin had been asked by Kreck, a now friend of his who is one of the tribesman of Imuchakk, to guard the village overnight. The request had come directly from the Chieftain and it is, by what Kreck said, a great honor. Gin asked why would the Chieftain ask an outsider to be a guard. It seems that the Chieftain had heard of his abilities and that there was a lack of warriors within the village due to avalanches.
It was a quiet night, cold night. The cold was nipping at the bundled up young man who shivered, hugging his staff. He looked about and saw the last of the tribesmen enter their huts, which were as large as houses. The snow blanketed the area and all was well… except for the cold.
After a few hours of silence, Gin had paced the entire village at least once. He had noticed two other night guards who were pacing the village as well. The size and bulk of the goliaths were amazing, it was hard to believe someone would actually consider causing trouble whether they be foreign or even citizens themselves.
After reaching the southern end of the village, Gin was about to turn back and walk towards the west end but had noticed movement up a nearby slope. He was sure someone was up there and if it was a citizen of Imuchakk, he would have noticed their massive size or even heard their heavy footing.
“Bell Call” Gin focused; the rukh around him brought the surrounding sounds towards his ears. He could hear them; footing. Soft slow feet, and quick ones every so often. There was no talking, just light feet; surely not of Goliaths.
Gin chased after the sounds, rounding huts, climbing a slope and soon he found himself face to face with a man about his own size, covered from head to toe in white attire, even his face was covered, but his eyes and bulk showed he was a man.
