Lightning Blade
Tier:D
Class: Magician (Lightning)
Type: Offensive
Range: Close
Requirements/Drawbacks: The user must make movements in order to activate this, serving as a warning sign for the target.
Scaling: The tier of damage dealt will increase by one for every 10 magoi/stamina that is invested
Sustain: 0
Cool Down: 2 turns
Cost: 10 magoi
Description:

    A blue blade of lightning appears in the user's hand after the user use their staff/wand as the medium to conjure the magic, which can be used to attack an enemy. The user must slash their wand/ staff through the air, and then the simple blade of lightning appears in their hand. It initially deals D tier damage, dealing an additional D tier damage over the next turn if the damage scaling is activated. It lasts for a single turn unless sustained.

Description:
Blue lightning surrounds the user after the user conjure the magic by using the staff/wand and does D-tier damage to anyone within range of 2 meters from the user. Lasts a total of 1 turn unless sustained. Is directly on the ground, and about 1 inch thick.

Exploding Lightning
Tier: D
Class: Magician ( lightning)
Type: offensive
Range: long
Requirements/Drawbacks: The user must first slash their staff through the air.
Scaling:  The number of lightning bolts increases by 1 for every 10 magoi invested.
Sustain: 0
Cool Down: 1 turns.
Cost: 10 magoi
Description:

    A bolt of lightning comes down from the heavens and explodes above the user after the user summon in via their staff/wand, dealing D tier damage to all within range, including the user themself and any allies that may be nearby. Resolves instantly after the explosion and has a range of around 3 meters. The way to tell this ability is in use is when a cloud appears, from which the lightning will come.

Tier: D
Class: Magician ( lightning)
Type: Offensive
Range: close
Requirements/Drawbacks: allies are affected if they touch the user as well. The user themself cannot be in water or they will electrocute themself by accident.
Scaling: (damage dealt increases a tier higher for every 10 extra magoi spent)
Sustain: 0
Cool Down: 1 turns
Cost: 10 magoi
Description:

Electricity crackles of the user's skin after the user used the wand/staff to conjure the magic, making it so that anyone who touches them received D tier damage. Lasts for a total of 1 posts unless sustained.

The Lightning Fox

Tier: C
Class: Magician ( lightning)
Type: Supplementary
Range: user only (close)
Requirements/Drawbacks: can only be used 3 times per thred.
Scaling: increases Damage dealt by one tier per every extra 10 magoi spent)
Sustain: 0
Cool Down: 1 turn
Cost: 20 magoi
Description:

This is a supplementary spell, one that forms a sort of aura around the user, made of lightning. The user slashes their staff/wand through the air in an "X" shape, and then the aura begins forming around the user in the shape of giving them fox ears and fox tails(yes, tails. 3-9 tails, depending on how much magoi is spent. # of tails increases by 3 for every 10 extra magoi spent, default is 3, however). The aura increases the user's power by 1 tier, making them able to do greater damage. This can be used a maximum of 3 times before the tails dissapear. The tails remain with the user until they have all been used up. Each time the ability is used, one of the tails dissapears, and the magoi that went into making the tail now goes into the user's spell instead, increasing the power of the spell. If the user increases by more than one tier, two tails dissapear. If it increases furthur than that, all of the tails dissapear after a single use. The tails are essentially a means of storing magoi, so even if the user's magoi completely regenerates, however much magoi was put into making the tails can still be released.

I know this is a WIP, but here are a few things/requests:

-Please keep all your abilities in the first post and just edit that post. It's harder to grade them and get the coding to them when you make multiple posts.

-We don't work with percentages on the forum. So there is no health percentage or percentage variations of damage. But for the record, half of any tier is simply the tier below it. Two D-tiers make a C-tier. Two C-tiers make a B-tier. So on and so forth.

-Lightning magic can't be used for healing spells.

-In general the range allowed for a D-tier ability would reach 15m unless it were a simple small projectile.

-The ability systems page gives a few general example scaling types. I suggest you copy them for now until you have a better grasp of the system.

Notes:


  • There really isn't such thing as "HP". This isn't like an RPG, where you've got a specific limit of how much damage you can take before dying or fainting. The system sort of depends on people being reasonable and realistic and logical.

  • D-Tiers all have a cool down of 1 post.

  • Scaling isn't just a one time occurrence. One can scale an ability until they have run out of magoi/stamina. Instead of saying when your abilities are scaled, the damage dealt increases to C-Tier, you should say the damage dealt increases a tier.

  • 15 meters goes in the Long range.



  • Lightning Blade:


    • I think I understand the effect you're wanting for the scaling. Just change it to every 10 magoi the damage dealt increases by a tier, or something along those lines.

    • The cool down should just be 2 posts.

    • Reduce the cost to 20 magoi ^^

    • Instead of using "50%", it may just make it easier to say it deals D-Tier damage.





  • Sheet Lightning


    • Change your scaling to 'the tier of damage dealt will increase by one for every 10 magoi that is invested'.





  • Exploding Lightning


    • I feel as if your requirements/drawbacks belong more in your description. That being said, you'll need to come up with another requirement.





  • Lightning Aura


    • If this is a defensive ability, it should be defending the user from attacks, not dealing damage. If it was to deal damage, it would be an Offensive/Defensive ability and would be required to be a C-Tier ability.

    • It should only last for 1 post.





  • Lightning Step


    • How could you use lightening magic to increase your speed? You're going to need to help me understand how you'd do this.

    • You need to add how long the speed increase lasts.

    • There really isn't tiers of speed. You should just use comparisons to describe how fast the user is going. The text below may give you some ideas.


        Examples:
        The character can now sprint as fast as a wild dog and can maintain these speeds for a few minutes.The character can now sprint as fast as a horse and can maintain these speeds for several minutes. At this level they are equal to a D-tier fanalis in speed.The character can now outrun most mounts and maintain their speed for an hour. At this level they are equal to a C-tier fanalis in speed.The character can now move like a blur across short distances and move fast enough to run along walls. They can maintain this speed for hours. At this level they are equal to a B-tier fanalis in speed.

Lightning Blade:

Requirements - These requirements are awfully harsh considering you don't gain anything back from them. I suggest removing all of this information and replacing it with the physical action requirements for casting the spell.

The description mentions using your staff or wand as a medium to cast it. So the requirements should explain what kind of actions you need to take with the staff/wand to execute the move. Like swiping it through the air horizontally while speaking the spell name.

Description - If damage scaling is activated, the move would simply deal B-tier(10 magoi added) or A-tier(20 magoi added) damage when it hits an opponent. It wouldn't deal D-tier damage in the next turn. Just delete the part where you mention scaling and leave the C-tier damage mention. You don't need to mention the changes that occur due to scaling because that information is handled by the scaling systems.

Also, you don't mention how long or thick the blade of lightning is. Please add that information in metric units.


Sheet Lightning:

Requirements - Once again, I'd ask you to remove the drawback since you don't really gain anything from them and replace them with the physical actions required to actually perform the spell.

Description - Decrease the range to a 2m radius. Also, please describe how thick the lightning sheet is and how far off the ground it is.


Exploding Lightning:

Requirements - same as the above two spells. But definately include an action that serves as a "tell" before the lightning bolt fires.

Description - How far away from you can the lightning bolt fall? That is the aspect your range scaling can effect, but overall the range of the AOE should drop to a 3m area.


Lightning Aura:

This one is fine as is~


Lightning Step:

Requirements - We don't have HP here. So remove the bit about having 30hp. Damage is taken realistically meaning you only die when your vital organs are destroyed or you've lost massive amounts of blood.

Scaling - Speed isn't technically measured by speed here. So speed scaling doesn't work. I suggest amount scaling instead.

Description - This ability needs to explain how lightning sparks at your feet make you move faster. Lightning wouldn't do that unless you were using electromagnetism which is too complex for a D-tier move. Sadly this ability will have to be denied and saved for B-tier or above due to its complexity(manipulating electromagnetic fields with fine control)

  • This ability is a bit complicated for a D tier spell. I would suggest toning it down a bit?

  • I'm not really sure how this is supposed to work. It's worded really weird and I don't think it's possible to do.

  • Send me a message to try and explain it better to me so I can help you or maybe I would suggest reverting to Lightning Step as it seemed like a pretty solid ability if you just applied Duquin's changes.

Im trying to make it as simple as possible, please pay attention to what you need to edit based on what I ask. You can do it, you just need to understand what we ask you to edit. If you dont understand or confused, please send me a PM and I will help you to understand every part that you cant seem to understand. ^^

Lightning Blade:
Requirements/Drawbacks: Just say that you lift your wand/staff and do a slashing movement as the requirement

Cool Down: Supposed to be 1

Cost: 10 | 5 Magoi

Description: Just say it like this, "The user must pour their magoi to the wand/staff before slashing their wand/ staff from upward to downward through the air to create 1m long blade of lightning. The lightning blade will appear in the user's hand and capable to deal D-tier damage if it hits the enemy"




Sheet Lightning:
Requirements/Drawbacks: Just say that you swipe your wand/staff from left to right

Cost: 10 | 5 Magoi

Description: Wording suggestion, "After pouring the magoi into the wand/staff and do the swiping movement, a 1m thick circle of blue lighting appeared around the user, approximately starting from 1m in diameter around the user and widened up to 2m away. This blue lightning circle is capable to deal D-tier damage to the enemies that is in the way. "




Exploding Lightning:
Requirements/Drawbacks: Add this sentence, "A cloud will appear on top of the area that will be struck by the lightning."

Scaling: Since you can double the amount with scaling, id suggest to delete your wording and just put, "For every 10 magoi invested, the number of projectiles will be doubled." Far better than just adding one for every 10 magoi invested, imo.

Cost: 10 | 5 Magoi

Description: I would suggest to not make it explodes above the user because the explosion might affect you as well. It is better to make it explode on front of you.
"A 10cm thick and 1m long bolt of lightning comes down from the heavens towards 2m in front of the user before exploding. The explosion would be affecting the enemies that is within the 2m big explosion and deals D-tier damage. The way to tell this ability is in use is when a cloud appears on top of the pointed area, from which the lightning will come."




The Lightning Fox:
This isnt allowed, you can deal greater damage by using the scaling. Also spell to enhance other spell isnt allowed as well. I would suggest to make this as a Offensive/Supplementary skill, which would let you to deal damage and give some paralysis effect to the enemy.

Description: The user point their wand to themselves and chant the spell, pouring the magoi to the medium and made fox ears appeared on top of the user's head and a fox tail appeared on the back. User will be able to create  one 2m in diameter ball of lightning from their tail and throw it away up to 5m away, dealing D-tier damage as well as paralyzing the enemy that got hit by the ball. The paralysis will numb the body of the enemies that got hit by the ball for 1 post.

Just a quick correction on something Noir posted. You COULD enhance one spell with another, however the method you're trying to use still wouldn't work or be approved. She's right on everything else.

I will say this as well though, stop trying to copy naruto stuff. This is not Naruto. You will find it very hard to get things approved if you use Naruto as your standard of example. I also notice you used "resolve" wording. This is not DnD role playing. We don't "resolve" things based on phases. You take damage when you are hit. Not when anything else triggers.
