Job:

Fēng had recently arrived in Heliohapt and had decided to stay for a while instead of just resupplying and moving on. It was because of this that he started doing odd jobs around the city. His newest one was a request from the local university to do a survey on the environment in the area and soon he found himself walking away from the university with a notebook in hand towards the city’s exit. It didn’t take long for him to exit the city and to start searching to find a suitable area to begin his survey. After a bit walking he finally found a place he deemed acceptable.

He took notes on a few of the plants but soon his interest was switched to a small lizard. It was 8 inches in length, including the short tail it had. He observed the lizard for a while and started describing it in his notebook. “The Sandfish is 8 inches in length, with a tapered body covered with smooth, shiny scales, and its legs are short and sturdy with long, flattened and fringed feet. The tail is short, tapering to a fine point, the coloration is yellow-caramel with brown-black cross bands.” As he was writhing this he saw the small lizard panic for a minute before borrowing in the sand.

Right before he started wondering if he was at fault for the lizard’s behavior his eyes caught an amazing sight. It was a small, stocky cat with short legs and a relatively long tail. Its fur was pale sandy ocherous in color and had both spots and stripes with two blackish bars on the limbs, and the tail had a black tip with three dark rings as markings. The cat was simply beautiful in his eyes and after writhing everything about it in his journal he tried to approach it.

He was surprised that when he started slowly walking towards the cat, it didn’t immediately run away but just watched him curiously instead. Hope was starting to rise in him, had he finally found one of the few rare felines that weren’t afraid of him. He was getting ecstatic he was almost in petting distance and all he had to do was stretch his arm and suddenly as he was doing that a loud voice echoed behind him, scaring the desert cat away.“Well boys look what we have here, a puny scholar. Give us everything you have and we won’t hurt you too much.”

The loud man behind Fēng had scarred the cat away, and for that he was going to break the bastard. With that in though Fēng rose to his full height and removed the hood of his cloak showing his red hair to the men. As he turned around he saw that they had paled in realization of what he was and what they’ve done but it was too late now, he was going to beat the shit out of them. First he charged the bandit closes to him and launched a knee at his side, once the knee connected a loud crunch was heard but Fēng paid it no mind and followed with a devastating elbow hit to the temple. The man fell to the ground like stingless puppet allowing Xiang to move to the other two guys. After quickly taking care of them he decided that he had gathered enough information about the area and so he started making his way slowly towards the city occasionally taking some notes. Once he reached the university he submitted his note and although the researchers were pleased with his findings they also scolded him a little for taking so many notes on the stray cats in the city.

Job:
Today Feng found himself standing at the entrance of the orphanage. The reason was the request of an old lady he encountered in the market asking him to look after and entertain the orphans for a day. He had agreed and even though he wasn’t the best with children he was going to try. With that in mind he slowly entered the orphanage and made his way towards the room where the children were. Once he entered the room he was surprised by how down the children appeared to be. Feng could only scratch the back of his head in confusion while he was thinking for a way to lift the children’s spirits. After minuet of thinking he settled for telling them a story about one of his adventures with Riri, a really heavily edited version of said adventure. With a plan in mind Feng settled himself in the center of the room and said “Now gather around children and I’ll tell you a story about the adventures of the Red Lion and the Blue Bear.” Hearing that the children’s interested was picked and soon they gathered around him. Seeing that all of them had seated themselves in hearing range He began telling the story.

The Story
Long ago in a faraway land there was a fierce hero named the Red Lion, who was joined by his closest friend the Blue Bear. Together they roamed the lands fighting evil, saving people and freeing slaves. This story takes place during on of those times. They were traveling through the Free Plains, when they discovered a smoking temporary merchants camp. Deciding that they should approach it the Red Lion and the Blue Bear quickly reached it, once they were there they spotted an injured man which they rushed to help. After the merchant was stable he told them about what had happened, how their camp was attacked by evil bandits and that said bandits had kidnapped his daughter.

The merchant cried and pleaded for them to rescue his daughter and since they had no reason to refuse the Red Lion and the Blue Bear agreed and promised that they’ll bring her back. Soon the heroes were on their way to track the bandits down.it took them several hours but they had finally picked up a trail which they followed right to the bandit’s camp. Luck was on their sided since it appeared that the bandits were celebrating they’re latest raid, which meant it would be easier for the heroes to sneak in and take care of them.

Once they were inside the camp the quickly attacked, the Red Lion using his knee to strike his nearest opponent in the side, following that strike was another one but this time using the elbow to hit the temple. Having knocked his opponent down the red Lion quickly moved to next, as he was doing that his companion the Blue Bear was using his immense strength to crush his opponents with one strike.

Most of the bandits fell to the power of the heroes except their leader a giant of a man who was also a famous outlaw named Little Mickey. But even he could not stand long against the combined powers of the Red Lion and the Blue Bear and soon he was defeated. After defeating the bandit the heroes quickly found the daughter of the merchant in one of the tents. After rescuing her they returned to the merchant and decided to escort him to the nearest city.

“The end.” finished Feng before looking around to see the reaction of the kids and from what he saw he was not disappointed, some of them seemed to have been entranced by the story while others had stars in their eyes and were muttering about how cool the heroes were. Seeing this Feng could only smile in satisfaction before deciding that he would stay for a while. Having made his mind Feng cleared his throat and said. “Now How about I tell you about the time the Red Lion and the Blue Bear had to stop an evil cult from resurrecting an ancient evil sea god.” And so He stayed in the orphanage till it was late in the night telling stories and tending to the kids.

Job:

It had been a busy couple of days for Feng so he decided to just enjoy himself tonight and go out for a drink and maybe talk to some nice girl over a few drinks, he quickly blushed a little at the last of his thoughts and shook his head a little he wasn’t either that good looking or that lucky for something like that to happen. After chastening himself and blaming leftover hormones from puberty aloud he went out and headed towards the local tavern named the Sandy Wench and as the name suggested it was not the most glamorous of place one should visit but Feng liked that while the owner and most of customers were crude and with either questionable pasts or jobs or sometimes a combination of both they were genuinely nice people at heart or they were at least in his head.

It didn’t take long for Feng to reach the Sandy Wench and as soon as he entered the tavern he was hit with the smell of smoke, sweat, a little bit of dried blood and maybe some tears but he wasn’t so sure since it was mixing  with the sent of old drunken men. He took a few steps toward the bar when the smell of Drag the retired soldier who practically lived in there finally hit him. That finally rid him of the sense of wrongness he was feeling and with a self-assuring nod he continued towards his favorite stool on the bar.

Once he was seated on the stool the old owner and bartender of the tavern turned towards him and said. “Che, if it isn’t the brat, what are doing here you are going to chase away all my female customers.” Upon hearing that Feng could only snort and smugly reply. “Please the mere fact that I’m visiting this dump increases the chances of a woman stumbling in by a thousand fold now stop buttering me up and bring me some ale.” His word drawled out a rough but not malicious laugh from the owner before he poured Feng’s drink and slid it towards him.

Feng was taking it slow tonight so he was only on his second drink but he was starting to get annoyed. The reason was that Dreg was unusually loud in telling of his war stories tonight, well maybe it wasn’t that unusual but he was used to Dreg just being taken home by some of the regulars. Oddly enough none of them were present today or were just not in the mood so Feng decide to volunteer for this since he was about to head home himself and so with a sigh he left some Huang on the bar and stood up while shooting a look towards the owner that said that he better get some free drinks next time.

It took him thirty minutes to make Dreg tell him where he lives and another twenty five to drag him out of the tavern all in all it was a small miracle that Feng hadn’t blown up yet but he was on the edge. The cool breeze was doing wonders on cooling him down but he wasn’t in the clear yet they were still far away from Dreg’s home after all .While they were walking Dreg decided to speak up sounding oddly serious despite being quite drunk  “You know a lot has changed since I was a young soldier everything was so different back then. All of us had something real to fight for and there was no corruption, no scheming on how to get up the ranks faster than the rest and to seize all the power just for the sake of it. No it wasn’t like that at all and it was simply beautiful but now when I get a chance to see some of the new recruits in the army all I see some snout nose brats that lack the fire all of us veterans had in our eyes back then you know.” And so he continued telling stories of how it used to be back in the past while Feng just listened without sharing his opinion deciding the old soldier just wanted an ear and not a discussion partner. Soon they reached Dreg’s house and Feng left him to his devises and started heading home. Just as he was about to round the corner he heard Dreg shouting “Thank you and remind next time we meet that I owe you a drink.” In response Feng just raised a hand and waved.
