Never let it be said that journies happen quickly. They sure as hell don't when you're having to go on journeys with a psuedo-giant that seems to be obsessed with wearing household furniture. Seriously? Why the hell did he continue to insist on wearing that thing around his waist like it was some sort of medal for being the most fashion-ignorant person in the whole eastern hemisphere!
On one of the few rare days where he wasn't accompanying his eight foot tall 'friend', he was having to move back to town for a small bit to get some more food for the camp. You would be amazed at how much they could eat, or perhaps not given the fact that they were having to move almost 18 hours in the day.
Why they didn't just ride the damned carpet, considering how fast it had crossed an entire nation, was something that he didn't understand. He talked about his "lady" as if she was this great mage, and yet they avoided using the carpet as a means of transport to get there.
Was there something that he didn't know? Well, of course there was, nobody is able to know everything, but you know what he meant. Was there something that he was unaware of that affected this decision?
Either way, as he made his way through one of the foothills of the mountain, he got the feeling that someone, somewhere, was watching him. He hated that feeling, it always felt like someone was going to try and take advantage of him.
Whenever that happened... well, people started losing their legs, and then they screamed at him "oh god, oh god, what the hell did you do that for?" and he always had to explain that if they hadn't attacked him in the first place, they wouldn't be monopedal. It was kind of obvious, but they never saw it that way. They just kept screaming and screaming and... urgh, it was a whole issue.
