Preparing The Students [Solo/Job]

Right after the class was done and Noir was ready to go back to her sleeping routine, the teacher announced an unusual activity for them. “Alright students! You will be interested in this extra activity!” And with that, all the students let out a loud grunt as their response. Noir just let out a small sigh and wondered what was the extra activity would be, she was feeling sleepier even after the teacher announced that they should duel with each other but it would be one student against 5 other students. This is troublesome…

While the students were chattering to each other to discuss the activity, the teacher suddenly called Noir and said, “I’d like you to fight 5 students alone.” The teacher was in fire but he quickly cleared his throat right after Noir sent him a blank stare, asking for his reason why she should do that. “You show a potential, so it would be best to see you fight many people at once to see of you can handle that. Umm… w-would you please… umm… not stare at me so intensely like that?” Noir ignored the teacher’s plea and kept sending an intense glare at him until he slowly backed off to maintain the activity. Sigh escaped the black haired girl’s lips as she finally accept the offer, it could be the best way to test herself also and she could straightly sneak out from the classroom after that to get a nice nap.

Just when the yellow magician stepped to the front of the class, the classroom door was opened and revealed a man with red hair coming in with a sly smirk plastered on his face. Noir saw the man waved at him and ignored him by quickly walking to the front of the classroom; she began to wonder why Rufus could appear to anywhere he liked and began to question if he was really a human or not because of that. “Go for it Noir~!” Rufus cheered with a he grin on his face, liking to saw the girl’s reaction to send a shot of icy glare towards him.

Five other students walked up to the front as well and looked at emotionless Noir who was just sending them a blank stare which signaling them to quickly start the battle. It was not like Noir believe that she could easily win, the girl just wanted to quickly end the fight so she could take a nice nap since she didn’t get to sleep because she was reading books at the entire night. After the teacher signaling to start the battle, Noir just stood there and waited for one of her enemy to move. Driven by nervousness, Student(A) started his first spell and cast Fiery Slice to Noir, which was quickly dealt by using Onda D’urto which sent a static energy that par with the spell. This time, the black haired girl cast her spell first and started to be offensive once she set the gap to be 20 meters from her target, “Fulmine Lancia.” Two lightning spears produced by the rukh flew at 20 meters away at 15 m/s and it directly hit Student (A).

Noir ran at the remaining four but was pushed back by the Wicked Winds cast by the student until she was 15 meters away. But since the gap was enough for Noir to attack with another spell, she quickly cast Fulmine Coccioand followed by Fulmine Nero to two students. Noir backed off until she was 30 meters from the remaining two students and waited for them to make any move; she needed to not rushing the battle and learnt her enemies’ action for future references. Noir could notice her enemies became more nervous as their knuckle’s color starting to become white colored due to holding the wand to tight. The black haired girl just stayed still, observing every move her enemies made. This was her fighting style, fast and powerful spell casting to showed her dominance in the battle and a little playing around part to saw her enemies’ action. She wondered if she would still did the same thing if she faced a stronger enemy, maybe far more stronger and could made her die from just being hit once. Noir shivered at her thought, wondered if that day would really come as she was getting ready to face that every day.

After idling for several minutes, the students finally attacked her with Icy Chill after running to 10 meters away from Noir. But the black haired girl didn’t even move away and directly took the damage; she took her chance to cast much stronger spell while the student cheered and hugged each other after finally being able to send an attack at her. “Fulmine Nero II” She whispered to the rukh and sending 4 black lightning that directly hit both of the, dealing a damage after each person was hit by 2 strikes at once. That spell finished the match quickly while all the audience was taken aback by the scene and didn’t even expect Noir to take such action. The teacher used the chance to said, “And that’s why you cannot celebrate before successfully defeated the enemy, as they might attack you with much stronger skill when you let your guard down.” The teacher received loud cheers from the students and was letting out a proud smile for making such a great speech.

Noir didn’t even bother to joining the cheering but straightly helped all the five students that she fought. “You did well, Noir.” Rufus came from behind and praised her, which led him to only being ignored again. He put his hand on Noir’s head and ruffled it, smiling to her and helped her to help the students to stand up or lead them to sit on the seat. Rufus couldn’t help but letting out a happy chuckle as he tried to remember the previous fight and thought that the black haired girl was fighting like a cat. “What?” Noir straightly asked him because of his smile and Rufus was just laughing while saying, “You really looks like a cat.” Noir twitched her eyes at the comment and decided to stay quiet.
