Job:

Job Name: Environmental Studies
Job Rank: D
Job Location: Heliohapt
Job Rewards: 50 XP, 3,000 Huang
Job Overview: The local university is doing an environmental survey in the area and would like you to go out and gather notes on the wildlife and plant life. Take the provided journal and take notes for the university about what you find outside of the city. If you do a good job, you will be rewarded!

Here he was, observing any wildlife and plant life at the outside of the academy, occasionally write something on his notes and wandering around the area. Well, currently went he was visiting the local university to get some information, they asked Tenma to help them first and he quickly accepted since it was fair enough when they asked him to do a survey. Even though our good guy was capable of doing anything, taking surveys was the most boring job that he need to do. Why need to be so serious? But then again they will pay him for information, so he should use this opportunity well. He believed a good relationship began by doing a good deed, so here he was, at the outside of town and approaching many plants one by one.

Tenma carefully ticked the small empty box in the notes as he observed the plant, he became curious as well since it was the first time he saw this kind of weird flower. It kept trying to bite Tenma’s finger when he wanted to touch the tip, but he quickly left that after he was satisfied playing with it. He moved to the other plant as well, some that he saw before on the other country was easier to be taken as a notes, but he would spend a pretty long time to observe a plant that he never seen before. Suddenly, he could feel a murderous intention coming from a pretty far away, but he knew that it was directed at him. Tenma held his breath and getting ready by grabbing his Katana, waiting until he started to charge to stop him. The swordsman could hear the heavy panting from it, but still didn’t dare to look back and waited for his chance, as it began to let out a roar and jumped to Tenma, the black haired man quickly used his unsheathed Katana to redirect its attack. While blocking the creatures attack, Tenma was once again amazed by the beauty of the creature. It was a tiger, with glorious grayish blue fur and golden eyes. Never before Tenma seen a blue tiger in a very close distance like now, and he spent several seconds to admired the tiger before he finally decided to tame the tiger. Tenma used guts and willpower to tame the tiger, at the second glance; it was not as big as the usual tiger. So Tenma assumed it was the tiger’s child and observing it before he let it go, admiring the soft fur and magical color that it had.

Hoping he got enough information for the University, Tenma went back and submitted his notes. He let out a small chuckle as he waited for the advisor since it felt like he was getting back to his old university before, but it seemed too good to be true. After waiting for a couple minutes, Tenma got some information that turned out was not too useful for him, but still grateful that the university gave him some money reward.

Job II :

Job Name: Lonely Orphans
Job Rank: D-Tier
Job Location: Heliohapt
Job Rewards: 50 XP, 3,000 Huang
Job Overview: Since the attack during the Festival of the Broken Sun, there has been an increase in the number of orphans. The children are sad and lonely. Visiting them and cheering them up by making them happy through laughter, singing and dancing, telling them stories, or other means, will be rewarded.

Tenma frowns when he saw the place he visited today; the situation was similar to the situation at Reim, children suffered by their loneliness and sadness. His was not visiting the orphanage for some purpose; he just accidentally found the place to give someone’s belongings back.

Earlier today, he accidentally bumped to a woman who was bringing a lots of paper bag which was filled with many things. He quickly apologized and tried to help if there were any belongings of her that fell down from the paper bag, but quickly brushed off by the woman as she quickly rushed to her destination. The swordsman wanted to continue his step but he stopped for a second only to notice a toy. “A yo-yo…?” The black haired man mumbled to himself and took it, he turned back to saw the woman from earlier and planned to call her, but unfortunately she was too far and Tenma had to follow her. The woman stopped herself from running as she reached her destination to an old looking building with many decorations hanging, the swordsman observed the place and came into a guess that it was an orphanage, but he didn’t see any children playing around outside in this kind of nice rare weather in Heliohapt. The woman from before noticed him observing the place and called him, “Hello Sir, what brings you to the orphanage?”

The swordsman smiled to the woman and carefully pulled her hand, opening her palm and put the yo-yo. “You left this before, and I guess I should apologize for bumping you earlier.” With care, Tenma let go of the woman’s hand and asking her why the children was not playing outside in such a nice and wonderful weather. The reason revealed by the woman was certainly making Tenma frown a little bit and he asked if he could do anything to help by borrowing the yo-yo for a second.

He entered the room which filled with many children, who seems to be very not lively. Tenma plastered a smile on his face and walked to the center of the room, he didn’t say anything and just played with the yo-yo. He did some basic tricks that at first, the kids were not interested to see it, but as Tenma did some harder tricks, the kids began to show their interest and watching it with sparkling eyes. Laugh escaped the one eyed man as he finally brought back some children’s smile in the room. After he was done, he moved to see a big classic piano and began to sing several children song, making it fun so the children can sing together with him. By the end of the day, the black haired man already did so many things to entertain the children, as he was granted some love from the children who were now fighting with each other to hug or even play with him. The golden eyed man tried to take care of the children and made sure their smiles never fade until the end of the day. He thanked the woman for giving him the chance to bring smile to the children’s face and she let him to keep the yo-yo from before as a memento. The swordsman excused himself and walked away, looking at the yo-yo and smiled before he put it inside his pocket.

Job:

Job Name: Reliving Glory Days
Job Rank: D-Tier
Job Location: Heliohapt
Job Rewards: 50 XP, 3000 Huang
Chain Bonus: 50 XP, 3,000 Huang
Job Overview: An old soldier is drunk at the local tavern, telling bawdy stories of his better years. The customers are getting annoyed and the tavern keeper wants him out. Either escort the man home and listen to a story or put him out of his misery.

Up and down, up and down. That was how the one eyed man played the yo-yo, continuously making the yo-yo to be pulled up and thrown down for several time in his way to go back after bringing smile to the kids in orphanage. However the day was not over for the swordsman to go back to the inn this early, spending several more hours in the tavern sounded like a good plan for him. He started to walk to the first tavern he visited after he arrived at Heliohapt and clearly remembered that day just like it happened yesterday. Smile carved at his face as he remembered how the girl burped into the magician’s face, he was trying hard not to laugh loudly and stopped himself just to hold his laughter. It was not every day he could see that kind of funny moment and made him laughed happily like that, he inhaled air and closed his eyes for a second before continuing to the tavern.

“Ya know young one? I WAS THE GREATEST SOLDIER!”

Tenma stopped himself just when he wanted to open the tavern’s door, listening for a bit more of this possibly drunk talk before finally proceeding in only to saw a heavily drunk man shouting out his story in his glory days. He could see annoyed expression on everyone’s face in the tavern, some were getting ready to leave while some other quickly left the bar with angry face. The black haired man received a pleading look from the tavern keeper, signaling his empathy and mentally advised Tenma to quickly go out. A sincere smile was his reply and he kept walking to the counter, “5 bottle of ale and fried chips please!”

He gulped down the ale, instantly finishing 3 bottles already while eating the chips. The night was quite refreshing for him and he got to hear some of an old man’s drunk rambling, it livened up the tavern but some people was not interested in his story and already left, making the tavern had less and less customer staying inside. Hmm… This is not good for business… He stood up and approached the old man who was now enjoying his drink, his face was as red as tomato and he drank like a fish. “Excuse me! I heard your amusing story and I’d like to hear more!” The other customer let out a loud sigh and getting ready to leave the tavern because they already had enough of the old man’s rambling. “Should we head outside? We can also discuss some other things!”

The old man let out an excited grunt and nodded, following the younger man leading the way to exit the tavern and wandering to only God’s know where. “So! What do you want to know about the great Ahmed young one?! Gahahaha!!” The old man laughed loudly and he was very excited, “You know young man, my years were far faaar better from today, the city was free and prideful. I was one of the soldiers who made our past years better!” He sips a beer from its bottle and continued, “It was different these days! Young generations don’t care at all about fighting for our freedom! That’s why…” Tenma blinked twice and patted Ahmed’s back respectfully, “Don’t worry, you have fought hard, and some youngster already had many plans to actually fight for their freedom. They just need a leader to make it happen. It’s your time to rest Ahmed, pass your title to your successors.”

Satisfied laughter filled the empty dark road as Ahmed kept going on and on with his story, it was kind of interesting if one was willing to hear it thoroughly and paid attention to his topic. As they kept talking, finally Ahmed stopped himself and said, “Well, I guess tonight is very fun! But we should call it a day.” The swordsman nodded and asked to escort him to his house, “Well, this is my house, young man. You can come here anytime if you want to hear more!”

The swordsman smiled and bowed himself, seeing the old man entered the house and slowly turned his back. He stretched his arms and let out a sigh before finally ending his day to go back to the inn. “Well… I too… have my own plan…” He smirked evilly and the moon shone on him, making his golden eyes glowing beautifully in the midst of the night.
