Gremory: The Gate I1dJlj7

Tower Guardian:

The mountains southwest of Remano have had some disturbances recently, forcing some of the creatures down to other areas within Reim. King Lagi El Nagi has recently encountered one such occurrence. The King believed this was taken care of when the El Nagi clan removed the creatures that had migrated to the rivers, as they had seemingly caused the issue in the first place.

The Gate can be found at the exit of an icy cavern. There are fifty meters of stairs to climb; a formation that seems far too precise to be a natural occurrence. Hidden from immediate view is the Tower Guardian, a mysterious man who claims some sort of connection to dungeons in general. His power is mysterious, yet palpable, and he only allows those whom he deems have the qualities to challenge the dungeon through.

OOC:

Everyone who wants to enter the dungeon, with the exception of Jahangir and Ariella as they got to the dungeon first, and are 'already inside', must post in this thread and touch the gate to enter. Anyone who does not have a ticket will be stopped by the Tower Guardian. Other players may try to stop and fight here. They may try to steal tickets from those who try to join. Best of luck to you all~

When it was time to leave, Diego gathered up all his belongings, seeing which he could use. He set aside Razorwing, he had not yet obtained enough mastery with bows to use it so it would only weigh him down. His Tamer's Bracelet may be useful if he needed to communicate more in-depth with his pets and the Inquisitor's Gaze could prove handy if he needed its ability to understand something over his head.

After venturing southwest of Remano for a couple days, the oddball party of mostly beast and man arrived within an icy cavern. Their breaths hung in the air as they trudged onward towards an adventure littered with elements of danger and mystery. The Fanalis child moved forward clinging to the promise of treasure and power at the end. He wondered what mysterious creatures and magical places they would find within.

They came around a corner and were greeted to an awe inspiring sight. The dungeon loomed ahead in the distance to the backdrop of snowy mountains, purple clouds hugged the top of the structure. Diego looked to Trixie and laughed in joy before racing off the foot of the tower. Madam Trixie hurried after Diego with Zanzibar atop her back, warbling from the excitement in the air.

Once he arrived at the stairs, Diego paused and waited for the group to gather. He was anxious to get inside, but Diego wasn't alone. He was doing this together with his friends and he was not about to go on ahead without them. When they were together, Diego beamed at Yakuroro before skipping up the steps, two at a time.

At the top of the stairs, Diego paused before continuing forward. The gate rose upward at a great height and he hardly noticed the guardian standing before it for a moment. Approaching the tower guardian, Diego handed the man his ticket. The guardian idly looked at it before scanning the party that had arrived. His eyes bore into each individuals eyes as if he were reading them carefully, judging them. The guardian was more interested in accepting their characters than the ticket.

The guardian held his intense gaze on them for a moment before finally removing the ticket from Diego's hand. A grunt escaped his lips and he nodded at the group to proceed. He kept his eyes on them while they continued onto the gate.

The grin on Diego's face widened as he was let through and he waved to Yakuroro to follow. He stopped at the gate and held his hand as a sign to wait. Diego turned his gaze to Yakuroro and each beast in turn, "Are we ready?"

If he saw that everyone was, Diego would nod, "Alright, we do this together. On three. One....two....three!" At the same time as everyone else, Diego touched the gate.

Yakuroro followed Diego on the trek across several different terrains trusting that the boy knew where he was going. Their entourage of various creatures and a couple humanoids would cross the grassy plains of Reim before reaching the rugged landscape of the western front. Traversing crevices and crags, they eventually came upon an uncharacteristically frigid area considering how close they were to the equator and the Imuchakk knew that they must have been close. Thankfully despite how far their destination was, supplies would not be a problem. During the travels Yakuroro was able to ensure the group was not short on food or water using his magic and the bottomless gourd he'd obtained in Heliohapt.

Upon finally arriving at the dungeon itself, Yakuroro followed close to Diego and eyed the guardian just as carefully as he did the group. Yakuroro had questions about the mysterious man and who he was. On what authority did he stand guard here? But Diego's eagerness to enter the dungeon pulled the magician away from pursuing these questions. Based on his own experience with dungeons, Yakuroro assumed that he would be able to meet this man again once they exited thinking they would end up in another giant hole in the ground where the dungeon had previously stood. "I'm ready." Yakuroro stated and Akatetsu roared enthusiastically to show his readiness in kind. Together they all placed their hands(or claws/boneheads depending) and began their dungeon adventure.
