Of course Yakuroro would win! He was one of the strongest people Arashi knew. How could he not against such a strange opponent? Gripping the cloak that hung around her neck, she tried waving her hand to get her friend’s attention, but he seemed too distracted to see her… Or maybe it was all of the people surrounding her? Either way, Arashi wasn’t going to let him get away this time! The way he was walking… He was leaving the arena! She’d have to try and meet him out there. Turning, Arashi began to try to make her way through the crowd, all of whom were settling bets, yelling and generally enjoying themselves unlike the small girl who had to push and shove her way through.

When she finally made her way past the gates onto the outside world, the streets were just as crowded as the coliseum. People were hustling and bustling to get to places from and around the arena. Arashi looked up, trying to figure out where the competitors exit to the arena would be based off where Yakuroro had walked off. After several moments, she oriented herself began to sprint in that direction. As she ran, the girl kept an eye out for the familiar tall figure with blue hair.

Finally, after jogging and searching for over ten minutes, Arashi saw the familiar fray of his blue hair. He was across her, barred from her by a large crowd. The girl gulped. He was still moving. If she didn’t get his attention, he’d probably disappear into the crowds. As she shoved her way through the crowd, Arashi called out.

”Y…Yakururo!”

The Imuchakk and his son met a reception of healers as he exited the battlegrounds and entered the pending area where fighters rested between matches. Most of them hurried past him to go tend to King Lagi whom had been left defeated in the area floor. But two stayed to check Yakuroro's wounds and help patch up Akatetsu. The chimera's cuts were cleaned of the shimmer fragments and the disinfected with a balm before being covered in leaves and wrapped in bandages. Yakuroro himself hadn't suffered any injuries during the fight and he wove the healer that approached him away insisting that she help treat Akatetsu as well. Once the bonehead lizard had his wounds dressed, Yakuroro received his reward money for the match and together the two set out to leave the coliseum.

Stepping out into the Reim sunlight, Yakuroro covered his eyes and looked out over the bustling crowds. While his battle had not been particularly strenuous or difficult, Yakuroro felt drained of energy. The magoi he spent would return in a days rest so long as he had a good meal, but the price of Yakuroro's heart had been far more costly. He had felt something snap in him towards the end and the Imuchakk did not like that he had lost control. It was very unlike him and reflected how heavily the last months many developments had weighed upon his shoulders. Resolving to rest for now before giving his outburst any more thought, Yaku began making his way back to the inn he was staying at without a word. Akatetsu made a curious growl as he saw his father's troubled state but without a way to speak the chimera knew it could do little to comfort or distract him from whatever was bothering him.

Together, the two began making their way down the street when a distantly familiar voice rung out. "Hm?..." Raising an eyebrow, Yakuroro turned in the direction of the voice and scanned the crowd of people. He wasn't expecting anyone and he wasn't quite able to place where he'd heard the voice before, but the small face framed by a cloak stood out to his eyes. Her soft features were vaguely recalling and it took the Imuchakk a second or two of staring before his mind added in the rest of the traits that Arashi's traveling cloak concealed. "...Ah! Arashi!?" The surprise of Yaku's expression was briefly apparent, his usual social mask slow on the uptake due to how numb his fight with Lagi had left him.

It did not take long, however, for the magician's friendly front to take over his posture and visage while he internally ran the different possibilities as to what she was doing here through his mind. "It's been quite some time, where have you been? You've got quite a few hours of bodyguarding to make up for." His voice was cheerful and even a tad teasing with his last comment, but it was moreso made to let her know that he had not forgotten about their agreement. As Yakuroro approached, he thought back to when he'd last seen the formerly imprisoned girl from Kou. He had left to go bargain a pardon for their crimes so they would no longer need to sneak about. But when he'd returned to where she was supposed to have been waiting, Arashi was gone. Yakuroro had no idea what happened to her, but he assumed she'd just decided to go look for freedom. It wouldn't have been very surprising if she still didn't trust him despite what he'd done for her. Perhaps she feared he planned to sell her into slavery and simply ran before he could take advantage. Still the questions remained. What was she doing here now?

Akatetsu followed close behind Yakuroro and looked at the girl curiously while waiting to see more of how Yakuroro interacted with her before making a decision as to how he should treat her.

Arashi could feel her heart about to burst through her chest after yelling. She wasn’t use to trying to attract attention to herself. The crowd around her gave her odd glances, some not caring, others obviously displeased with the sudden shout. Even though the glances only lasted a few seconds as the people would then continue on their way, Arashi felt as if the stares had lasted for hours upon hours. Her entire life he idea of standing out in a crowd had been something foreign, but now, she wanted to, if only so Yakuroro would see her.

When Yakuroro turned, Arashi looked up with wide eyes. She was still across the crowd from him, but he seemed to have heard her! The girl began to try and push her way through the crowd, wanting to be able to get close to formally apologize and try to continue their agreement. Arashi was still embarrassed at what had happened those months ago. She had been careless and had gotten in trouble because of it, but now, maybe she could make up for it! At least, the small girl hoped she could. After several awkward moments of shoving herself past other people, she found herself in front of Yokuroro, bowing her head.

As he spoke, Arashi’s face turned red. ”I.. I apologize about that!” she exclaimed, her eyes shutting in embarrassment. ”I.. er accidentally fell in a river and other things happened. I didn’t mean to betray your trust and run off!”

Now it was Yakuroro's turn to feel awkward as the young human girl bowed in front of him in a very formal apology. He had not expected her to take her debt to him quite so seriously and rubbed the back of head head feeling a tad uncomfortable. "Well, water under the bridge, right? It's okay. Really." The Imuchakk tried to assure her that he held no spite or wrath towards her. In fact, he was a bit relieved to see that she was okay and worried about what kind of things she'd gone through to find herself here in Reim. While Yakuroro attempted to soothe Arashi's worries, Akatetsu became curious of this new person whom seemed to know his father. Leaning in close, Akatetsu tried to sniff her to see if her scent was familiar. This would happen to place the chimera's bone covered head right in front of Arashi's face as she looked up from her bow.

Yakuroro promptly bonked Akatetsu on the head and sighed, "Stop scaring people like that. Arashi, meet Akatetsu. My son. Tetsu, this is an old friend of mine. Please, treat her well." The chimera pulled his head away from Arashi after being scolded and gave a toothy grin that showed he was apologetic but not really sorry about his curiosity. "Anyways, I'm sure there is a lot of catching up for us to do. Tetsu and I were headed back to our inn. Would you like to join us?" The magician asked the question in a manner that stressed the fact that he saw Arashi as an individual with her own free will beyond their agreement that she would serve as his bodyguard.

Arashi looked up her, sighing with relief as Yakuroro spoke. He was fine with it? Was he really? The girl’s face turned a soft red. She still felt awful for disappearing on him. Even if he forgave her, Arashi wasn’t quite sure she did the same to herself. However, before she could worry too much about it, a strange face suddenly appeared in front of her. The girl jumped back, her face now red as she moved in a fluster. ”Y..Y...Yakuroro! What is that!?” she asked, pulling out her marbles with wide worried eyes. The beast was much larger than her! What was it!?

When Yakuroro spoke calmly to it, she blinked. Did he just… boink it on the head? The hand that clutched the marbles lowered slowly. That was… his son!? Her face paled. Was that was what Imuchakk children looked like!? Did they go into a cocoon or something and come out looking like people!? Her eyes shut as she rubbed her hands down her face. ”E..er where’s his mother?” she asked quietly, trying to get the mental image of Yakuroro bursting out of a giant cocoon butt naked out of her mind. As he spoke, she nodded, still covering her face.

”E..Er yes… I’d like to.”

Seeing Arashi's bewildered reaction to the news about Akatetsu made the Imuchakk forget about the stress of his recent match with Lagi and he let out a slightly smothered laugh as he tried to avoid appearing too amused. "His mother? I have no clue where that infernal woman has run off to. She's a bit of a monster herself, impossible to reign in or predict." From the tone of his voice, it would be clear that Yakuroro was not very fond of the woman who had birthed Akatetsu. However he would soon be encouraged to tell the truth on this matter as Akatetsu whipped Yakuroro in the back of the head with his tail. The Chimera snorted showing that he didn't appreciate the way his father spoke ill of Lady Soushui.

"Alright, alright..." Yakuroro said to Tetsu before turning his attention back to Arashi. Since she agreed to come back to his inn with him, Yakuroro turned and began walking despite keeping his focus on the small human girl. Hopefully she would get the hint and begin walking along side him so he would not awkwardly be distancing himself from her as he tried to explain. "Yakuroro's mother is a magician. He is a chimera born of magic. A beast made with the parts of several other beasts. The reason he is my son is that some of my blood was used in his creation." The Imuchakk would reveal this information quietly as he didn't want people to overhear.

After a short walk, they would find themselves at an inn which possessed a stable of sorts. The Imuchakk went past the inn itself however and opened the large stable doors. There were no horses inside and evidence would suggest that someone had been living inside. That someone was Yakuroro. "Traditional inn rooms are too small for Akatetsu and I. Thankfully renting out this stable gives us both plenty of room." The Imuchakk said before moving over to a desk made from twisted roots as though nature itself had crafted the furnishing. Taking a seat at one side of the table Yakuroro gestured to the seat next to him and began pouring cups of water for the both of them. Akatetsu moved to a large bedding of hay and curled up to lick his wounds and rest. "So tell me Arashi, what happened between now and when I saw you last? You look to have become...stronger." Yakuroro would let it be a mystery as to whether he meant that in a physical sense or a more mental or spiritual one. But in truth he saw a bit of growth in all three from the girl.
