We have removed the rule requiring players to limit the amount they list items for when selling them to other players. The primary concern was that members could theoretically purchase items from the market and hoard them before selling them back at very high markup prices.

With the newer rules in place, this limits that practice and we are somewhat comfortable lifting this rule and seeing how it goes.


At the same time, we have removed the old ruling that characters must meet up to transfer items from one character to another. Abusing the removal of this rule by having both characters share an inventory (ex. both freely using what each other has) will result in a dock from the warning bar.

Based on a recent dispute, questions were raised about whether a Supplementary Effect would strike a borg. While the decision in the battle was different, staff has decided to uphold previous decisions (made in this post: http://magiworld.forumotion.com/t5272p30-chimera-s-dominion-chimera-zadi#28138 which shows the option to clash or take the supplmentary to the borg and previously when Altair’s Mind Magic was created) to have the Supplementary Effect strike the borg. This means Borgs can still block supplementary effects. The Systems page has been updated to be more clear on this matter.

Also, during this discussion, it was decided that any attempt to disarm a magician, whether through basic grabbing or through item-destructing abilities, would activate the borg, as this would render the magician unable to cast spells of any type, especially at lower tiers where they do not have access to a secondary spec.

Magic Systems Update

Poison Magic:

-Poison magic removed from page as its own magic type. Poisons naturally fall under Life magic via plants, venoms as well through animals. As for acids which were previously covered under poison magic, players are free to make a combination magic for acid magic.


Clairvoyance Magic:

-Clairvoyance magic is now all combination magic by default. The other magic types involved determine how the spell will convey information to the caster.

-Seeing the future in the middle of a fight is no longer prohibited. However, predicting the future has been limited to asking the rukh for forecasts on nature such as upcoming weather, seasons, or natural disasters.

The following information has been added to the Magic Tool Systems:

Equipping Magic Weapons:


  • Magic weapons can be used by anyone regardless of their class. But if the user's class does not match the weapon, basic attacks with the weapon will be limited to dealing D-tier damage.
  • Bows and throwing daggers will not come with basic ammunition if the user is not a Ranger/Assassin OR if it is a gun-based weapon.
  • Weapons that don't match your class can't be used skillfully. You are limited to basic simple attacks and blocks. No skillful parrys or advanced techniques.
  • You may not register abilities to a magic weapon aside from the magic spells you can train if it does not match your class.

The following note has been added to the Job Systems pages Job Chain section:

*You must wait for the first job in a chain to be approved before starting the next job. Then that job must be approved before starting the next one. This is to ensure there are no issues with the earlier jobs since following jobs have some degree of continuity. This will prevent us from forcing retcons.

The Shard of Solomon from the Twilight of Magic Event is not an additional shard on top of the free shard all characters start out with.

It IS the free shard everyone starts out with. The event was marking the appearance of shards in the world because no shards actually existed IC before the event. As of right now, no one on the site should have more than a single shard.
