26Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 Empty Re: Strongest Under The Sun on 05/09/14, 04:14 pm

Ilirran watched Roa's 'brother' take a moment before being dog piled by a group of contestants while two men shoved spears into his sides. A brief flash of disappointment swept through the large Imuchakk, the fight he had readied himself for would not be happening by the looks of it. He let out a sigh and was about to turn around when he heard an inhuman cry pierce the desert air. Ilirran had never heard such a sound and an odd feeling started to grow in the pit of his stomach. Something unnatural was about to occur and while the Imuchakk was unable to see the black Rukh flowing around Shinri, the effects could still be felt.

A second after the Imuchakk heard the loud cry of pain, the dog pile of contestant were pushed outwards as a great beast surged from underneath them. In Roa's brothers place now stood a massive black creature with wings that roared when it swiped a massive hand at more contestants. Ilirran looked the creature up and down twice, "By the frozen crags of the homeland and Asisiak's bountiful bossom...," Ilirran muttered in awe. The creature was larger than the Rampaging Unicorn's of his homeland and looked even fiercer. The Imuchakk gave a hearty laugh, it seemed Iliran's ancestors had blessed him with the honor of fighting a great foe.

He looked down and saw a discarded weapon by the edge of the stage nearby. It was a short scimitar half covered in sand, Ilirran stepped off the stage to grab it before hurtling it at the beast. Ilirran had no doubt in his mind that it would bounce harmlessly off the creature, but he wanted to gauge its reaction, learn more about this new foe. In the meantime he raised his great sword in a defensive stance, noticing one of the men had protected himself from the earlier strike and stood holding his ground. Today, blood and entrails would be scattered under the burning red sun, an offering to the spirits of combat.

-----Ilirran & Yakuroro-----

Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 Monste10

Just as Ilirran had guessed, the scimitar bounced uselessly off of the creature. The sound it made may have been interesting, as the thick 'thunk' of the blade bouncing off made it sound as if the creature was made of wood. The attack did grab its attention, and it let out a shriek of anger, the sound of which pulsated within 10 meters of it and caused the man who was fighting it to drop one hand from his blade and cover his ear.

The man up front shook his head, and readied his large blade once more. If Ilirran bothered to check, he looked to wield a similar sized blade.

An oily dark substance began to gather at the mouth of the creature, which sizzled with an unknown energy. Bolts of darkness crossed the surface of the ball as it grew in size until it reached a five meter diameter. It seemed as if it were about to grow bigger, however the man standing in the front lines had raised his blade and struck the creature's leg, causing the creature to yell out in pain and fire the ball of black energy towards Ilirran prematurely. It looked to have a speed of 10m/s, and would arrive to the Imuchakk in 3 seconds if he did not move.

The Imuchakk could certainly watch the results of the man's attack, instead, if he was willing to take the uknown strike head-on.

The creature seemed unaware of Yakuroro's approach.

Yakuroro's knuckles had gone white from how hard he was clutching his shaking hands around his lightning staff, but nevertheless he willed his flying carpet ahead at full speed upon deciding he would do all he could to slow down this...thing...Akatetsu almost lost his balance as the carpet suddenly accelerated to full speed at 25m/s and descended from 50m in the air down to a mere 10m. The Imuchakk could feel the air was thick with malice as he approached and narrowed his gaze on the large black beast as he tried to think of what exactly he should do. Defeating the creature of malevolence was folly in his mind. The longer he stayed near it, to greater his chances of being "infected" by the black rukh became. But perhaps he could slow it down long enough for others to run. In the short time it took him to approach, Yaku's mind wandered and his life flashed before his eyes. Perhaps everything he'd done until now had been leading to this moment. Or perhaps fate was simply cruel at times. Either way, he had to act now lest many lives be lost to damnation.

As the Black Djinn began forming something in its maw, Yakuroro's carpet would arrive slowing to a stop 10m behind the djinn, another 10 from the ground. Magoi poured into Yakuroro's staff and blue rukh fluttered about as he gave it a string of commands and aimed his spell for what he hoped was a blind spot at the center of the beings spine. "Deep Freeze!" With both hands on his medium for channeling magic, Yakuroro produced a surge of magoi generating a large 15m diameter blob of water. The air in the surrounding area would suddenly be sapped of what little humidity it had as moisture from the atmosphere was pulled into the spell to aid the generation of water that was being manifested through the conversion of the magician's magoi. With the massive churning collection of water formed, Yakuroro released it towards his target without hesitation.

If the black djinn remained ignorant to the spell casting then it would face the danger of being submerged without warning into a body of water that was large enough to cover its entire body. Immediately following a hit, the water would center itself on the Djinn and flash freeze into an icy sphere. This would serve as a tomb that would hopefully hold the creature for a time and prevent it from causing trouble long enough for people to evacuate. In a flash, Yakuroro would speed his carpet 5m directly above the black djinn and shout as loud as his lungs could manage, "Don't try to fight! Just run! This likely won't hold for very long!" His pleading voice would reach many ears, but he could only hope those who received them heeded the warning.

A grunt escaped Ilirran's lips as the scimitar bounced off the massive creature's hide with a wooden thunk. While the creature had not been damaged, it was now focused on the leopard headed Imuchakk to his pleasure. He raised his broadsword with one hand and let out a roar to match the creature's shriek. Ilirran began charging towards the beast with his sword raised above his shoulder, not noticing the guard by its foot attacking or the Imuchakk magician swooping down from the sky. He faintly noticed the beast forming an oily black substance in its mouth, Ilirran's only focus was attacking it.

With most people's eyes turned towards the creature or towards an escape, a few did not notice the nine foot Imuchakk charging until it was too late. Those who failed to move out of the way bounced off his massive frame as he sped to his target. Ilirran hardly noticed the bodies that were knocked back as they collided against him.

By the time he reached within five meters of the beast, he heard a loud shout ordering people to run and not fight. Ilirran snarled, he was not a coward to tuck his tail behind his legs and wait for someone else to save the day. Especially not when there was a challenge this great taunting him. The grip on his great sword tightened as he prepared to use his momentum to slam the blade into the creature's leg.

-----Ilirran & Yakuroro-----

Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 Monste10

Yakuroro's choice to attack the creature from its blind spot was, in fact, a very effective decision. The creature was enveloped within the water that Yakuroro had sent flying towards it, completely covering the creature and stifling the strange orb of energy that it was charging up at its mouth.

What was unfortunate about his choice of angle, however, was the fact that there was a human at the feet of the creature. Before the Imuchakk warrior Ilirran could get quite into range of the spell, however, the ice and water solidified.

The creature seemed frozen in place, and it looked almost picturesque of a lone human man fighting a giant demon. Some of the people were still watching, frozen in place by fear, but many took heed to Yakuroro's words and made haste in their attempt to escape. Screaming and yelling pierced the air as the first moment of shock passed by, and mothers and fathers both grabbed their children up in order to try to keep them from being trampled by the throng.

Many of the contestants from before ran away as well, leaving only a few of the people still there. Some of which in the stands, who seemed more curious about what was going on than what was good for them, as well as officials who felt obligated to see this through till the end.

There was still one other warrior, who was located near the back of the throng and had been walking forward the entire time. He looked to be a shady character, hooded and face hidden. Instead of running like the others, he forged his way forward. "It won't be contained for long, you say?" The man spoke with confidence. "Now that the trash is gone, I think we can take it easily. You, with your magicks, and your friend over there with his brute strength, and myself with my superior tactical abilities..." Every ounce of his words was honeyed in a friendly voice, though Yakuroro could see that black Rukh fluttered around the man in question.

A small upsurgence of relief passed through Yakuroro's body as he saw many a people take his warning to heart and begin fleeing. Some remained but there was nothing he could do to force these people to run, so he turned his focus to the sphere of ice below and stood from his kneeling position on the flying carpet. "Hey, Tetsu...I've got an important task that only you can do." The Imuchakk made it a point not to show his adopted beast of a son his face as he looked down on the frozen monster unsure that what he was planning would be a good idea. Succeed or fail, Yakuroro didn't want Akatetsu nearby where the risk of injury and "infection" was so great. "I need you to go into the city and look for people who need help. Lost children, trampled elderly who cannot run, the sick, and those stunned by fear. I want you to take the carpet and help them to safety." A forced grin was painted on Yakuroro's expression as he turned to face Akatetsu in an attempt to reassure him that everything was under control. "Lets go have a feast in celebration for our good deeds!"

Akatetsu was a still a baby, but he had spent enough time with Yakuroro to know that this was not one of his best masks. The beast knew that its guardian father was simply putting on an act and did not want to leave his side, but Tetsu also knew that if he tried to remain he would only get in the way. Reluctantly, the bone head nodded and made an affirming growl, "Gyao!" His body language took on a pose that said, "leave it to me" and with that the two parted ways. The Imuchakk jumped off the flying carpet and landed on the peak of the ice sphere while the chimera flew off to search for those in need of help fleeing.

The ice cracked slightly from the weight of the Imuchakk landing, Yakuroro's body compressed like a spring to absorb the force of the fall before standing upright and placing the butt of his staff on the dome of frozen water in preparation to cast another spell. One which would hopefully end this monster. But before he could do anything, a voice spoke out and stole his attention. It was not so much the sound of the voice that tore Yaku's mind from the task at hand, so much as it was the sensation of dread that filled him as the words reached his ears. Yakuroro turned to see a man saturated in a flock of black rukh slowly approaching the scene of chaos with a look of calm that said this type of situation was here he felt at home. He mentioned a "friend" with brute strength and Yakuroro turned to notice a man who seemed to be wearing a leopard mask. From his body structure it looked like the beastman was of Imuchakk blood so it made sense someone would assume he and Yakuroro knew each other. But this stranger was just one more person Yakuroro wished would run away at the moment. Too bad that was far too much to hope for from the typical Imuchakk who would likely see this turmoil as a great chance to prove one's strength.

Yakuroro looked back to the approaching man and closed his eyes for a brief second. When they opened again, Yakuroro's true face took over his expression. All masks faded away and commanding eyes cast a regal gaze upon the stranger as he demanded the individual halt. "Hold it right there, not another step closer!" Yakuroro's staff was raised into the air and then aimed for this living breathing conduit for the black rukh to enforce his words with a threatening act before demanding information. "You too are loved by the birds of corruption just as this demon was. Who are you and what is your relation to this abomination!?" A slight tinge of fear was on Yakuroro's face, one he simply couldn't suppress even with all his willpower. Fat lot of good it would do for his intimidation tactics.

The blue magician didn't know for sure that this man was connected to the black djinn, but even if he wasn't it didn't matter. Yakuroro didn't want anyone so consumed by the black rukh to be anywhere near him.

The creature froze into ice as Ilirran was running towards it, fortunately he was far enough away not to be frozen too. The downside was he realized what had happened too late and his forward momentum slammed into the ice. The leopard headed Imuchakk let out a roar of pain before picking himself up and looking around. A voice caught his attention, a hooded man approached, a malignant air hanging around him.

The man mentioned a magician and Ilirran looked up to spot a fellow Imuchakk standing on the creature's frozen head. Ilirran's nose scrunched up in disgust at seeing that the Imuchakk was a magician. From his experiences as a child and the fights from his past, Ilirran disliked magicians greatly. He felt they were not only cowards but distrustful individuals, eager to stab a comrade in the back. How would anyone else feel if their tribe was experimented on with powerful magic?

Ilirran was ripped from his memories as the magician shouted out to the mysterious man. The Imuchakk harbored distrust towards the hooded man and mentioned something about 'birds of corruption'. Ilirran had no clue what the magician was talking about, but he too was concerned about this mysterious man. Nothing about this tournament seemed right, but to Ilirran's point of view, there were two others to help take out the creature.

It was at this point that Ilirran looked over and noticed that the man who had stabbed the creature earlier was also frozen. He glared up at the magician, couldn't they control themselves? First the magician probably attacked from behind like a coward, then he feels no remorse for collateral damage. Ilirran walked over to the ice and stabbed his sword into it to try to dig the unfortunate man out.

-----Ilirran & Yakuroro-----

When Yaku had looked back to the man and changed his demeanor, it had a visible effect. Though Yaku's features showed fear, the man seemed momentarily frozen in place. But then there was laughter. "You are certainly a dangerous looking fellow... I assure you that my current prey are not these defenseless people." The man took down his hood, revealing his features.

Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 Assass10

Before he could say more, however, a loud crack would be heard as Ilirran thrust his blade into the ice. The blade didn't go in too deeply, about a meter or so, however its thickness displaced the ice. With the help of his Imuchakk strength, the weapon was able to pierce through and lodge into the ice. Given the feel of the attack, Ilirran would likely be able to determine that it would only take one more push to reach the frozen man that was fighting the dark creature from before. Though he would likely have to make a similar thrust in another part of the ice in order to break a chunk off and free him.

The crack spread beautifully, straight up and down the ice. The division created didn't quite reach between Yakuroro's legs, and the split did not appear to be too deep. It seemed to be getting shallower as it gained distance from where the sword had pierced it. A smile formed beneath the cloth that covered his face as he saw Yakuroro's ice cracking. "Soon..." is all he had said, as he pulled forth a dagger. He stood in a readied stance, his face changing from happy to serious in mere moments.

As the strangers steps ceased momentarily Yakuroro relaxed slightly, visible from how his body sagged as muscles loosened, but his staff remained pointed towards the man. It was...unsettling how he responded to the magician's threat with a laugh. Was this a game to him? Yakuroro pondered his words as the enigma loved by the black rukh lowered his hood. If his "prey" was not the bystanders then was it the people who were strong enough to stand up to the monster Yakuroro had imprisoned in a dome of ice? These thoughts would be interrupted by the sound of a dull impact, the vibrations of which could be felt through the cold ice beneath Yaku's sandaled feet. The ice cracked and creaked inciting the Imuchakk magician to turn and see Ilirran attacking the dome in attempt to free someone inside. Staff still pointing towards the now unhooded figure, Yakuroro turned to look at the leopard man and shouted, "Stop it, you fool! If you damage the integrity of the ice it wont hold nearly as long! The people inside will be fine once it breaks so stay your fears!"

Yakuroro then whipped his head back to the man and took note that he now had a dagger drawn and seemed to be focused on the cracking ice. Of course. When he first revealed himself he'd already made his target known. This unknown element was after the black djinn Yakuroro had frozen, but to what end? This was the theory Yakuroro was operating off of as his eyes sharpened and he stepped down from the ice dome, feet skidding down its slippery side, only to land on the same side as the dagger wielding man. "You have one last chance to answer my questions. Who are you and what is your involvement with the damnation behind me?...I will not ask again." The Imuchakk put emphasis on the word "ask" implying that he would force the information out of the man should he give anymore trouble.

Yakuroro's left hand clenched into a fist at his side as he began to build magoi into the purple metal ring he wore, still hidden by the long sleeves of his robes.

Ilirran watched the ice crack from stabbing his sword into the ice with a grunt of exertion. With a foot on the frozen wall for leverage, he pulled his sword free. He readied his stance for another thrusting motion when he heard the Imuchakk Magician above him shout down towards him to stop. Ilirran looked from the poor soul trapped in the ice to the creature also imprisoned and back up to the magician. Ilirran grudgingly realized that the magician's warning held some truth, if he tried to free the man, it risked releasing the black beast as well.

"You better hope the man will be fine or I'll take your head myself!" Ilirran roared up at the fellow Imuchakk. It didn't seem like the magician heard him, his attention was on the mysterious man present. Ilirran watched as the blue-haired man slid down the ice to face the formerly hooded man who now held a dagger in his hand.

Ilirran took a moment to think, while he didn't trust magicians he also held a bad feeling about the mysterious man. Something about the man's manner made Ilirran stand by his magician's side and raise his blade in a defensive stance. He pitched his voice low so only the Imuchakk could hear him, "Don't think I've forgiven you for your lack of concern for the innocent, but I don't trust this man either."

-----Ilirran&Yakuroro-----

"Me?! Why, I'm Prince Ali, fabulous me, Ali Ababwa." The man lied, smiling and bowing as he introduced himself. Though he was serious just moments before he was now once again amused. He took off his turban, which only revealed more wrappings similar to those that covered his face. When he stood back up straight and put the turban back on there had, at some point in time, appeared a strange spinning top, about 8cm big, in his hand. Those who worked in some of the more 'hands-on' jobs out there would note that this item was actually a drill. A sharp eye would note the magical circle on the item, marking it as a magical tool.

As quickly as his amusement had come, it once again left. "Now, I'm a busy man. While you certainly seem like you may become a target in the future, I have an appointment with the Pharaoh after I finish my work here." He began to circle leftwards of the group while keeping his distance from both of the Imuchakk. His left hand that held the magical item was simply hanging at his side as he moved. It looked like he was trying to get a look at the other side, ignoring Yakuroro's warning. When he began moving leftwards, he was 10 meters away from the two.

It was somewhat amusing that the leopard "mask" wearing Imuchakk would suggest that it was Yakuroro who had no remorse for what happened to the innocent. Typical Imuchakk. Unable to see the greater picture and only concerned with what was before their very eyes. Yakuroro rolled his eyes at Ilirran's words and gave a begrudged sigh as he tried to focus on their common foe whilst giving a whispered reply, "You must be a great warrior, I think your instincts are spot on..." A dash of flattery laced its way between the magician's smooth words as he spoke in an earnest tone. Truth be told, he couldn't tell how great of a warrior Ilirran truly was, but there could be no greater compliment to a man of Imuchakk. High hopes that his silver tongue would earn a reliable ally were the reason why he had chosen to speak highly of this stranger from his homeland, but Yaku went on to explain his own thoughts on the matter. "I think that this man wants to do something with that black demon...Maybe do something to it....I don't know for sure, but we probably shouldn't let him get close to i-"

Yakuroro's words were cut off as the now hoodless figure introduced himself and gave a bow. With his turban removed and then put back on once more, there was suddenly a strange tool in the man's hands. The Imuchakk's determined observation of this unknown element of a person had paid off through his peepers catching a glimpse of a magic seal engraved upon the drill. A wrenching uncomfortable feeling began to grow in the pit of Yakuroro's stomach as the individual in front of him suddenly became a much greater threat. He wanted to warn Ilirran that the man had a magic tool but the Imuchakk were often ignorant of all things magic and it would likely be a vain waste of time to explain the finer details, so instead Yaku simply said, "Careful this one is...he must have some magic."

The enigmatic stranger then spoke a few dangerous words which sent Yakuroro's mind into another racing stream of thoughts that almost caused his focus to break. He was to be a potential future target? The Pharaoh of Heliohapt was already one? Troubling news on both fronts, but not as troubling as the sight of the threat giving taking action. His movements were not so aggressive that they would incite a sudden attack from the magician, but it was clear that he was circling them for some kind of purpose, likely the black Djinn sealed in the ice dome behind Yakuroro which would soon be freed.[1 turn left] "Cover your ears....Equilibrium!" The warning was whispered for Ilirran followed by the shouting of a spell name as Yakuroro turned his staff to point at the turban wearing troublemaker.

Green Rukh would flutter around the tip of the Staff of Storms as an ear piercing noise sounded making even its caster wince in pain. A cone shaped soundwave would barrel through the air towards the magic tool wielding interloper focusing the brunt of the loud noise in his direction. Should he find himself afflicted with this sound wave, a subconscious suggestion would be planted in his mind. Yakuroro made a point to try and lock eyes with this man in hopes that he would fall under the effects of the spell and become greatly confused as his perceptions of left and right are suddenly visually flipped.

The range is defined by a 10m diameter cone in the direction the user points their staff traveling up to 20m in one direction. The suggestion is that the moment they set eyes on someone, left and right become reversed. This causes the opponent to see the world with their left and right axis backwards. The result is if the caster moved left, the victim would see the caster of the spell as if they were moving right instead. Suggestion only triggers when the target sets eyes on someone and only lasts one turn. If they close their eyes or otherwise don't look at anyone, the effect will not trigger. Ilirran watched Ali carefully as the Imuchakk at his side whispered a compliment in his ear. The leopard headed Imuchakk glared at his blue-haired brethren, normally he would appreciate compliments on his merits at a warrior, but from a magician it sounded condescending no matter how sweet the words were spoken. Ilirran continued listening though as the magician explained that it seemed Ali had his sights on the frozen demon behind them. With a grunt to express he understood, Ilirran turned his focus back to Ali.

The mysterious man pulled a strange tool from under his turban, as Ilirran gazed at it he was unable to discern what it was. Thankfully, the magician seemed to understand and whispered that it was something magic related. Ilirran growled, everyone these days seemed to use magic, such cowards. Before he could express his disgust with words, Ali began circling them sending the Imuchakk on guard. The Imuchakk magician reacted first, warning Ilirran to cover his ears. The leopard headed Imuchakk did as he asked before the magician used a strange spell to create a piercing noise.

When it seemed the effect was over, Ilirran charged towards Ali from the magician's side with his greatsword raised so the hilt was held at his shoulder, with the tip pointed in front of him. He let out a roar as he ran for Ali, waiting to see how the mysterious man would react before attacking.

-----Yakuroro&Ilirran-----

Yakuroro's spell hit the man as he began walking over. Ali Ababwa paused, as if stunned momentarily. The amusement that continually disappeared once again returned to his face. He took a moment to taunt Yakuroro. "Weird... I must have overestimated you if that was the extent of your skill. Heh, I suppose you should be happy, though, as that means you just might not be a target after..."

He had begun walking again as he spoke, this time back to where he started, as he thought he was still circling to their left. His sudden pause in speech was due to him suddenly vomiting. It seems that he had realized the backwardness of his vision, and the resulting vertigo caused him to get sick. He stopped in place and got down to one knee. He attempted to put his knife away in his right-side pocket in order to pull at the face covers that was keeping the vomit stuck to his face, but instead accidentally dropped his magical tool as his left hand reached for a similar spot that had no such holster on his left side. The nausea seemed to overtake him again, and the man vomited once more. Since his first time vomiting, six seconds passed.

Still upset at what had occurred, the man scrambled to grab the tool and do what he intended in the first place. If they had not attempted to do something to him in that six second frame of time, the man would unwrap his cowl and reveal his face in an attempt to get the vomit off of himself...

At the same time, however, the large ball of ice was beginning to crack. A particularly good ear would also hear, though far off, a series of explosions beginning. It seemed as if the slave market was about to get crowded. Though that would pose little problem when compared to the issue on the current plate, with the dark being about to be freed from its icy imprisonment.

At first Ilirran agreed with Ali, the magician's power hadn't seemed to do anything, but soon enough the mysterious man moved and quickly got sick. Ilirran continued charging up to the man, pushing his blade downwards to stab into the man's shoulder as he stood on one knee. After the attack he would follow up by kicking the man in his head in an effort to yank his blade free, hoping to send the man tumbling backwards.

If the attacks were successful, he would kick the magical tool that had dropped on the ground towards the magician, in a effort to rid the cowled man of his magic. He would then wait to see how Ali would react to the attacks in a defensive stance. In the distance he could hear explosions erupting, but that seemed a minor detail between the mysterious man and the demon nearby.

Following the release of the sound magic Yakuror's ears were still ringing lightly from the loud sound it hard produced but the sensation was swiftly fading. Now he observed carefully to see the results of his ability and satisfaction came over him as he did. The amused smile this stranger kept making was brimming with confidence and a sense of superiority that the Imuchakk magician found to be highly unearned. The victim had reacted rather unimpressed even as his unknowingly changed directions and returned right back to where he had started. Yakuroro couldn't help but smirk as the poor fool vomited into his own mask and proceeded to drop his magic tool to the ground. Perhaps he would have laughed if there weren't more pressing matters at hand. The sound of cracking ice was becoming more frequent and louder by the minute and Yakuroro knew that a far more dangerous element would soon be freed behind him.

There was no time to deal with the distractions of a depraved madman and from the way he was acting, the best way to scorn "Prince Ali" was to get rid of the Black Djinn. Yakuroro turned around as he shouted, "I'll leave the human to you! Slaying this abominable amalgamation of spite is my job!" Internally the blue magician scoffed at his own words. Slay? He'd come here to stall the monster at most, truth be told for all his bravado, Yaku's skin felt clammy and was crawling with goosebumps. Could he really face this...thing? But now was not the time for hesitation. The King Vessel stood facing the ice dome and began take slow steps backwards putting him 5m from its edge placing him a total of 20m from the Djinn at its center.

If Ilirran was successful in kicking the magic tool drill over, Yakuroro would hear it slide along the ground and turn to see it stopping nearby. In this case he would take the time to pick the device up in his left hand. A smile and a sense that his fellow Imuchakk was actually somewhat reliable would drive Yakuroro to shout at thank you in appreciation not realizing how "rude" he was being as far as Imuchakk standards went by claiming the larger prey for himself and sending a warrior to go deal with a weakened foe.

If no such distraction occurred or following it's completion, The Imuchakk's eyes would settle on the breaking prison of ice and raise his left hand upwards over his head showing Marax's metal vessel for all the world to see. The purple ring would glint in the sunlight as it became wrapped in a condensed coat of Yakuroro's magoi in preparation for drawing upon his Djinn's power. "Now then...shall I test whether or not I am delusional?" he quietly asked himself over the sound of explosions in the distance. This noise made the Imuchakk's heart waver slightly, but he quickly refocused himself. Either there would be time to worry about other things later, or Yakuroro would die here and he'd have nothing left to worry about.

-----Akatetsu-----

If Yakuroro's adopted 'son' had listened to his father's request, he would find himself amongst a sea of people. None of them were looking up in the sky, and wouldn't immediately notice him. Not ten meters away from the tyke, there was a family. A father, a mother and a baby cradled in her arms.

The mother was having difficulty moving forward in the panicked throng, and the father was doing his best to protect them from being trampled by the rampaging crowd.

Flashback:
The man sat at the bedside of his wife, holding her hand as the midwife was delivering their baby. "I'm here for you, my wife." A look of worry was on his face as she seemed to be in pain. His hand was squeezed, and he winced at the unnatural strength that was behind that.

The midwife rolled her eyes. "Why must men always be this way. Hush now. She's doing just fine." The midwife turned to the mother. "Breathe deeply. Come, now. Breathe." She continued to instruct the woman as the baby was delivered. When all was said and done, the child was bundled in clean towels and given to the mother. "May the Gods bless your family and watch over your son."

The father cried out, and the mother smiled. "His name is Abayomi." The man declared, proudly...

It was a great day of festivities, and the family of three wanted to celebrate their newest family member's very first festivity. Their five month old child 'goo'ed and 'gaa'ed at the various sights, happy and content with his family. The father, loving and gentle. The mother, treating both with a warm and caring heart. The father smiled as he hugged his wife from behind. "I will be with you two forever. I love the both of you so dearly."

The woman smiled as she turned her head towards the man. "I know." She turned back to the baby and started speaking with her 'baby voice' "And little Abayomi knows too, doesn't he?"

Nothing would prepare the two for what would occur later.

The woman cried out, tripping on her long clothing. The husband panicked and stopped in his spot, attempting to block anyone from trampling on his wife and child. The sudden stop caused the person directly behind him to knock into him, and the man fell forward into his wife. The wife began to fall forward as well. While falling forward, one of the people running next to her accidentally knocked the child out of her hand and a meter into the air. The force sent the child flying another 2 meters into the air.

"MY BABY! SAVE HIM!" The woman said, as she fell. The last thing she saw was Akatetsu on a carpet just 6 meters away.

Her husband crawled on top of her. It was apparent that people had begun to trample her. He was sobbing. "If only I hadn't insisted we visit this year's festivities. I... I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you both. But at the least, I'll protect you!" The man's face was streaming with tears as he moved atop the woman who was also crying, begging the man to forget her and try to escape himself. The loving husband didn't budge. He positioned himself in such a way that he would not move, even after he died, unless someone lifted him from place...

Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 Monste10

Ilirran was successful in his attack. Just as the man had attempted to scramble forward, Ilirran had slammed his blade into the mans shoulder. The man screamed out, in pain, as the blade sunk into his flesh. The Rampaging Unicorn Horn was certainly an object to be feared, added with the strength of an Imuchakk behind the attack and it was no joking matter. Ilirran's kick, however, was met by a palm strike from 'Prince Ali.'

The result was what Ilirran was initially going for, as Ali did not want to be stuck on the sword any more than Ilirran seemed to not want to have the sword stuck in his opponent. Ali scrambled backwards. "Fools. You would dare get in my way?" The man began swirling with black rukh as his hatred for the hand fate had dealt him increased. "No. Cantur, they're just playing with us." The man's voice changed to a friendly voice once again. Something was clearly off about the man, now, as he was beginning to talk to himself. "Shut up, Ali. We don't have time for this, and we're no longer in a good shape. We have to retreat. Our failure... This bitter feeling is all too familiar." It was his serious voice. The man was clearly mentally unstable. Looking back up at the Imuchakk, the man seemed to burn the face of Ilirran into his memory before running away from the Imuchakk while holding the bleeding wound on his shoulder.

Yakuroro would find no difficulties in picking up the magical tool. It was a strange object, and the use for it wasn't immediately apparent.

Spoiler:
Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 49499710

Shortly after he picked up the object, the ice began to crack from where Ilirran had broken a portion of the spell. The cracks expanded across the orb, making an audible noise and filling the air with the tension of its prisoner's imminent release. With a loud shattering sound, the ice crashed to the ground. The dark creature from within was enraged, and let out a roar of great anger.

Completely ignoring the warrior who had fallen to the ground after his icy imprisonment, the dark being turned to Yakuroro. Darkness began jumping across its body like electricity. A much denser ball of energy than what had gathered before at the beast's mouth now gathered into its hand. It had formed a 3 meter blade, which looked to be a shortsword in this beasts' hand that was crackling with the energy of darkness. The creature brought it down on Yakuroro. It felt like a truly impressive attack baring down on the Magician, but if gauged it would seem within his ability to deal with.

As the creature brought his blade down on Yakuroro an obelisk some distance off seemed to crumble under some unknown force from the within, and a small object could be seen shooting off from within.

-----Akatetsu-----

Heeding Yakuroro's words, Akatetsu found himself flying above a throng of people all panicked and fleeing from the dangers that seemed to be multiplying as the day went on. Heliohapt was being drowned in a cacophony of chaos that was likely unprecedented in all its centuries of history. Worried eyes darted back and forth from behind a mask of bone as Akatetsu tried to look for those who only he could help. The little lizard-like creature wanted to help anyone needing assistance, but there was no way the stampede of fearful humans could all fit on the jade green carpet. Tetsu suppressed his urges to swoop down and help those who were running and kept an eye out for those too weak or otherwise unable to flee on their own.

When the baby human flew up into the air, Akatetsu was looking elsewhere, but the worried shout of a mother caused the beast to swiftly dart his head to the side just in time to see the child reach the peak of its upwards trajectory. The flying carpet was willing to its greatest speeds and accelerated to 25m/s movement so quickly Akatetsu's neck received a bit of whiplash that he'd be feeling as a sore pulled muscle for days. The movement was a bit too fast and Akatetsu overshot the baby's falling trajectory a bit too much. Slower, but still with great speed, Akatetsu would back the carpet up just in time to catch the babe softly, the carpet willed to dip inwards to absorb some of the impact.

"Gyao!" A single growl was all Akatetsu made, more so as an exclamation of relief than as an attempt to communicate anything to the infant. The carpet would shift so the human child slid towards the chimera who then wrapped an arm around the baby to make sure it didn't fall off and end up as a bloody pancake staining the shoes of uncaring runners. "Gyao! Gyao!" Tetsu began looking for the parents of this young human hatchling, but the search was almost a vain effort with how many people were moving below him like a powerful current in a vast river. But as with river currents, there were sometimes signs of when there were obstacles beneath the surface.

Sight of some folk, slightly kinder than their fellow citizens, parting around the man protecting his wife showed a semi-regular interruption in the flow. Akatetsu flew over to see the couple below and then began trying to roar as loud as he could to get peoples attention in hopeless pleas to let these poor people get up. "GYAO! GYAO!" but his voice was likely going to be drowned out by all the madness. Looking around in a panic himself, Akatetsu tried to find some kind of tool...some kind of advantage to leverage. Using the magic carpet was too dangerous lest people grasp onto it in desperation and drag them all to a trampled death.

Laying eyes upon the baby, Akatetsu would sniff the air and then came up with an idea. The chimera quickly checked to baby to see if it had a diaper, but more importantly...if it had soiled itself in fear at any point up till now.

-----Yakuroro-----

As the ice became covered in the final cracks, Yakuroro spoke in a loud and clear voice that was rich with conviction. "O' Djinn of Mischief and Deceit! Let my will bend reality and grant me the power to fool even the wise!" The magoi around his ring intensified and condensed itself further, past the point of a weapon equip. Chunks of ice crumbled away and fell to the ground revealing those that had been trapped within. The Imuchakk squinted and his body instinctively cringed in response to the primal roar the black djinn produced, but only for a moment. He quickly stood strong against the beasts fury and completed the chant. "Dwell in my body and let your power be unleashed!"

As the monster began drawing power into its hand, Yakuroro was engulfed in a shroud of magoi and white rukh which faded away leaving behind a very different form.

Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 Pbucket

The Imuchakk's body was clad in an armor that looked to be living flesh and his head was obscured by a mass of shadow that behaved like flame. From within this shadowed helm, a set of six vertical eyes gleamed with purple light. This transformation ended at Yakuroro's raised left hand but the magoi spread outwards into the empty air taking the shape of a greatsword just over 2m in total length. Yakuroro's clawed hand closed around the greatswords hilt and the golden light of magoi surrounding it shattered just in time for the weapon to take the impact of the black djinn's sword.

An audible grunt escaped Yakuroro as he brought his right hand up to help brace his weapon, awkward though it was with a magic tool in hand, and felt his body wracked with a force it had no choice but to absorb. The Djinn hit like a rampaging unicorn, but what made this attack truly shattering was the mental affect it had on its target. Seeing the Black Djinn up close, all its animosity and hatred baring down on you. It was enough to make many men run in fear, but the added saturation of black rukh that this monster was simply crawling with made the experience several fold more frightening for the metal vessel user.

The six vertical eyes all narrowed in a squint as Yakuroro instinctively moved backwards, every fiber of his being tearing themselves apart to scream that he should be running away. At a speed of 15m/s Yakuroro would move straight backwards for one second before he caught himself. If he ran now, there would be no one to fight this demon made manifest. With the magic tool still in his right hand and a greatsword in his left, Yakuroro would shout a battle cry and lunge forwards impulsively slashing with Marax's sword as if blind action were called for in such a situation. While this attack was pathetic in its motivations, it was a necessary step for Yakuroro to overcome his terror.

When the Unicorn Horn Broadsword met flesh, Ilirran allowed himself a triumphant grin. The feeling of victory didn't last, Ali blocked the Imuchakk's large foot with his palm. While the second attack was unsuccessful, it did allow Ilirran to pull his blade free. With a fanged feline snarl, Ilirran began to lift his Broadsword to try another attack, but Ali's conversation with himself gave him pause. Ilirran listened to Ali talk with himself and in his confused state, didn't realize that the mysterious man had begun to run away before it was too late. With Ilirran's massive frame, there was no way he could catch up with someone so fleet of foot. Letting out his frustration with a growl, Ilirran turned to see how the Imuchakk magician was dealing with the black creature.

Ilirran was met with a terrifying sight, the blue-haired magician stood before him one moment and the next, a large armored figure with a head covered in shadows stood in his place. Earlier, he had witnessed Shinri change from man to black creature and now it appeared the magician had too. The leopard headed Imuchakk looked from giant creature to little creature, determining what to do. It didn't take long to reach a conclusion, the giant black creature formed a blade of darkness and attacked the smaller one. They were fighting amongst themselves, which to Ilirran meant that the magician was fighting back against the curse.

Letting out a primal roar, Ilirran circled around the black beast, aiming a Strike towards the creature's leg while it was distracted.

-----Akatetsu-----

The baby was caught by the Magicians son, successful in the saving of such a young life. There were those that had seen the magic carpet, but many could not do anything about it regardless.

When Akatetsu checked the child for soiled garments, he would certainly find that which he expected. The child wasn't particularly large, but the garments were still nothing to laugh at...

-----Ilirran & Yakuroro

Strongest Under The Sun - Page 2 Monste10

Yakuroro had managed to transform in time, his blade clashing with that of the dark creature's. The crackling dark energy ran down the blade and about it. When the creature had determined that it would be unable to get past Yakuroro's guard simply by putting weight down upon him, it brought its blade up, parallel with the ground and behind his head. Just before the monster had decided to do so, however, the Imuchakk had jumped backwards. This gave the creature more time to gather its strength, and it changed the way it was holding its blade.

A dark goo dropped down from the creature's face and landed on the ground. Various parts of its body seemed to be melting. Was this, perhaps, some strange type of attack it was preparing for?

The strength of the next attack, which Yakuroro would note was coated with magoi, would be devastating if he did nothing about it. With a two-handed hold, the blade began to descend upon Yakuroro at a speed of 20 m/s.

At that very moment a primal roar came from behind the creature. It was Ilirran, striking the leg of the unknown dark being. This strike didn't do much in terms of damage, but it did open a second of time for Yakuroro to make his move as the beast paused for just a moment. Yakuroro's blade sliced into its side, cleaving through dark flesh. Blobs of its liquid-in-nature body spurted at Yaku. Even as it did so, however, the Creature's attack still came downward. If nothing was done about it, it would deal serious damage to the Magician's borg, shattering it.

-----Akatetsu-----

Having confirmed the babes soiled status, Akatetsu blanched in disgust beneath his bone mask. The scent was putrid and the poo plentiful. Foul as it all was, it was strangely beautiful. Too perfect. Akatetsu undid the child's garments and laid them out before crouching over the mess and adding to it with his own waste. Weapon now fully loaded, Akatetsu held the clothing closed and lifted it. The mess just barely short of spilling over, Akatetsu would fling the stinky bomb of bile into the crowd one or two meters past the babies parents. Hopefully the act would cause a number of people to halt in shock and repulsion. If fate willed, this would give the baby's parents enough time free of trampling to get to their feet once more.

"Gyao! Gyao!" Akatetsu would wave to them as he tried to make as much noise as possible. If the mother or father looked up, Tetsu would then try to show them that their child was safe and on the flying carpet. If they took notice, Akatetsu would then fly ahead and turn down an alley between buildings far enough that there would be time to make their way towards the edges of the stampede in time to emerge from the fringes before being carried along with countless fleeing people.

Akatetsu would wait in this alley, still hovering well out of reach, hoping the parents of the half naked human would arrive to receive their newborn safely.

-----Yakuroro-----

Yakuroro's eyes had been closed as he shouted and made for an attack on the Black Djinn. Marax's greatsword would cleave into the beasts flesh as if it were thick mud and a strange sludge splattered onto the Imuchakk's body as a result. Yaku had not expected his attack to land, although it was questionable whether or not it had been "effective" on it's melting body. Opening his eyes, the King Vessel grasped his great sword  bravely as he tossed the magic tool drill upwards blindly. It's trajectory would not hit the djinn, but it would pass very close to its face. Yakuroro's freed hand then moved to join its counterpart just as a powerful blow came down upon him.

The magician paused as a magical recoil rocked through his body, but not from the black djinn's weapon. The blade had been stopped a mere few feet away by a shell of highly condensed magoi that shattered after receiving the attack. Yakuroro winced, but now was not the time for hesitation. "Marx Divide!" He would shout as his greatsword seemed to grow many times its size. The blade became white hot and burned inside the Djinn's melting body as condensed light and vibrations generated an intense amount of heat. The greatsword was turned so its edge faced upwards and Yakuroro attempted to cleave through the black djinn's body with a slash aimed towards the heavens.

Ilirran looked up to see how the black demon creature enjoyed his mighty attack and was peeved to see that it hadn't bothered to notice him at all. 'It treated that as if it were nothing but a fly,' he thought in annoyance. "I AM NO FLY!"

The leopard headed Imuchakk angrily threw his broadsword into the sand next to him, the blade sank several inches from the force. With a howl of fury at the insult the black creature clearly gave him, Ilirran cocked his right arm back and swung with all his might, slamming his massive fist in its leg. As his right arm went forward, his left arm pulled back in preparation for a second punch. When the first punch met, the second followed and another until a series of twelve punches had slammed into the melting creature.

Ilirran grinned, "Not a puny fly, am I?"

-----Akatetsu-----

Akatetsu's plan was fairly well thought-out. His intuition had offered him the opportunity he was aiming for. A small group of people had stopped behind the two, and the wife pointed to their child and Akatetsu on the flying carpet. "Look! Our baby!" The man pushed himself from off the ground, bringing his wife up with him. They were able to move forward and follow the young beast to the alleyway.

When they approached the carpet down the alleyway, the woman held out her hands and accepted the baby back, holding him close while crying in joy. White Rukh, unknown to Akatetsu, flowed from the family. The father, too, was incredibly happy, turning to the beast and thanking him. "Bless you..." He didn't know what to call the creature by, and simply bowed deeply. The woman did so as well.

Certainly, the feat was intelligent and well executed, and Akatetsu had saved the lives of that family! Little did he know, however, that the destruction left in the wake of his actions were more dire than the work he did to save the lives of this family of three. Due to his distraction, seven people had died due to being trampled over after having stopped in disgust of the foul object.

-----Yakuroro & Ilirran-----

The magician's Borg was destroyed, and the creature in question let out a triumphant roar. That roar, however, was short lived. As the magical tool went flying by its face, Ilirran's flurry of blows to the beast's leg caused such crippling damage that it became confused. The triumph changed to pain and anger.

While it was not his intention, Ilirran had fooled the creature into thinking he was inconsequential. The damage from his attacks up till that point were not of the strength level to be deemed a threat, and so it focused on the threatening presence of the thing that had went toe-to-toe with it in a series of attacks.

With the leg crippled, it was ready to fall down if not for one thing; Yakuroro's blade that was firmly inside the creature and rapidly expanding in size, simultaneously causing grievous burning wounds to the beast.

There was definitely something off about the creature. The melting body was strange, and it only got stranger as he began to sear away its insides. The creature attempted to let out a roar, but it only came out as a weak gasp for air. The body began to fall apart and back down to the man's original form.

Shinri lay upon the floor, his body charred and broken. Black Rukh coalesced about him, covering him completely before they all headed in one direction; a man, far in the distance, wielding a staff with a dark orb atop it, flew off into the distance on a flying carpet.

If Shinri were checked for signs of life, they would find none.

The battle was over.

And with the battle over, an official approached the two of them. The man had upon his back a strapped gourd easily the size of his body, but had no issues carrying it. In his hand, he had a rectangular box. There seemed to be some hesitation in his movements, as if he were slightly fearful of the two who had taken on the creature. If they made no movements to harm him, he would speak up. "Brave warriors, might I ask for your names? You have done us a great service here today, and we would like to reward the Heroes who saved us from a disaster."

Ilirran's mighty punches seemed to have defeated the black creature and he would have taken pride in that, if the Imuchakk magician hadn't 'stolen' his kill. As he lifted his arms in victory, he noticed that the magician had rent a hole through the beast with a very large blade. Ilirran glared at the blue-haired magician and would have said something, but the creature let out a weak cry as it began to melt into a smaller form.

Ilirran took a few steps back to watch the disturbing scene until Shinri's charred body could be seen. Disappointed that the fight was now over, Ilirran leaned over the fallen man and spit on his corpse. 'May Asisiak's bountiful bosom curse him in the afterlife,' Ilirran thought with a grin.

When he noticed a man approaching the two, he felt a surge of joy thinking there was another challenger. He ripped his broadsword from the sand and began to jog towards the opponent, a crazed look of blood lust in his eye. As he got closer, the man's nervous behavior made Ilirran hesitate. What warrior showed their nervous nature in battle?

At the mention of a reward, Ilirran smiled in understanding, of course they wanted to reward his brave efforts. Of course the magician helped too, so he deserved a reward as well. "The name is Ilirran Iskam, my family hails from the highest peaks of Imuchakk." He looked curiously at the box, "What is this reward you speak of?"

-----Akatetsu-----

There was no way for Akatetsu to know the amount of damage he had caused for sure, but he'd acted somewhat aware that some would suffer as a result. The beasts conscience would remain clear however as the putrid projectile would have never needed throwing in the first place had the people had enough decency to simply step around the babies parents rather than on them. In the alley, safe from trampling, Akatetsu gently handed the human infant down to its mother and father with a happy gyao. The beast waved good bye to them before flying away heading upwards into the air to return to his search.

Akatetsu would only get so far before a strange vine of sorts emerged from a side street and grasped the edge of the flying carpet. The chimera would suddenly find himself dragged into shadows by an unknown life magician.

-----Yakuroro-----

Yakuroro's attack had succeeded in cleaving right through the djiin, but he'd put too much force into it and the giant blades momentum sent the Imuchakk falling over onto his back. The greatsword of light and vibration vanished just in time for no collateral damage to be done, returning to its normal state. Yaku quickly leaned upwards in time to see the djinn's form collapse and break down as Ilirran pummeled away until little remained. The black rukh that had made up the Djinn's body seemed to move together in an unnatural manner and Yakuroro's eyes followed their path upwards to a magic carpet riding figure whom was too far away to see clearly. The fear in him was thankful that his mind was working well enough to know that chasing after the black rukh and the man would be a fruitless effort. From owning a carpet of his own, Yakuroro already knew they he could not fly fast enough to catch the stranger if they fled at top speed and it seemed like they were leaving away from the city on their own anyways.

A sigh of relief escaped Yakuroro as he let his body fall back to the ground, the Djinn Equip dissolving around his body into nothingness leaving him as he had been before the transformation. There were more things to worry about than the Imuchakk wanted to acknowledge at the moment, where was his son? What had the purpose of this djinn's appearance been? What as all the commotion in the city? There were many more troubles to consider but for now mental exhaustion begged for a moment of rest. He'd just helped slay an arbiter of destruction and sorrow, Yaku had earned a break at the least...right?  Unfortunately that would not be so as he noticed Ilirran begin charging once again, presumably at a new foe.

Yakuroro scrambled to his feet and turned to see what his fellow ice giant noticed, this was no enemy, but rather an official from heliohapt. Another great worry settled upon Yaku as he realized that there were many witnesses who had seen his transformation into djinn equip form. So much for keeping power hidden. Now there would doubtlessly be rumors spreading wildly about how a robed blue magician imuchakk could turn himself into a great demon. The tattoos at Yakuroro's chest, or more accurately the brandings they concealed, ached as he approached the man only to be asked for a name. A reward was mentioned too and perhaps it was rude to lie to a man who was about to bestow a prize of sorts upon him, but Yakuroro didn't dare give his true name lest the rumors include it.

"My name is...Asisiak." Yakuroro said with a slight grin. Surely the leader of his homeland wouldn't mind if people sung songs of her bravery. Even if it was for a deed she did not do. Eager to get out of here and to inspect the rest of the city Yakuroro went on, "I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but the city is in chaos and the day is far from saved. There could be another of those...things out there and I must act swiftly if I am to rescue any more lives." The urgency in his tone would make the honesty of his words clear.

Appearance: The full Djinn Equip of Marax gives the user a rather menacing visual appearance. Their skin turns blue like that of a djinn and their body becomes clad in a dark purple armor. The head is covered in dark purple shadows making it impossible to see ones face save for six glowing eyes turned 90 degrees like the third eye most djinn possess. The weapon that comes with the djinn equip grows to be a total of 7 feet long with 1 foot dedicated to the handle. The illusory haze that was once surrounding the blade is replaced by the dark purple shadows covering the user's head. These shadows rise off the edge of the sword which now has jagged bits sticking out almost reminiscent of the branches on a rampaging unicorn horn.
