Gaspar BihQfJ9
Name: Gaspar
Country Affiliation: Sasan
Race: Half-Dragon (Half Human)
Tier: D-tier
Class: Assassin
Age + Birthdate: Twenty-three, November 13th
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: Born the sixth son to a family of fourteen children Gaspar enjoyed an odd comfortability of being a middle child who didn't have much attention paid to him, he doesn't shy away from attention or company however as despite being generally quiet enjoys spending time among other people, or animals. Whether a result of nature or nurture, Gaspar is rather observant to a point where even in normal conversation he's watching how people react to him, though this can also be used against him if enough is going around him he might try to observe everything to the point he is distracted, or he might even exit the situation. Despite his relaxed attitude and love for nature, he carries himself strongly, as an influence from his father, which was only strengthened as he grew larger and eventually became draconic. Even when resting he seems on guard, crossing his arms and keeping himself on alert prepared to take flight or fight. While he might seem detached and appear to be disagreeable Gaspar is very responsive and open to communication, and while he wouldn't hesitate to intervene in situations that pique his interest he is more often the kind to be approached, rather than the approacher. While some might assume he has a lack of ambition not being especially religious or filled with bloodlust his internal hunger is for the world unknown, and for the countless treasures out there as it turned out the slight interest he showed in artifacts, treasure, and the things he found in the mines he has a deep-seated greed inherited from his father, something he has yet to take notice of and confront.
Likes:

 • Singing- One of the few hobbies Gaspar has practiced he learned to sing from his mother at a young age and associating it with her beauty and warmth he enjoys singing in his downtime when he's upset.
 • Birds- While he loves all nature Gaspar especially enjoys the sight, company, and the singing of birds to the point he even joins in when he hears it, his love for them connected to their singing and a pet bird he had as a child.
 • Treasure-A mixture of a greedy disposition and a constant exposure to it through his life from his father and brief occupation as a miner he loves shiny things, and things of worth collecting them whenever he gets the chance.

Dislikes:

 • Sensory Overload-Best put Gaspar doesn't like things that overwhelm his senses, too many people touching him, too many noises, too intense of scents, and etc. This stems from his home life, his amount of siblings and job in the mines giving him a taste of it to the point he will avoid too large of groups as the chance for overload is higher in them.
 • The Cold-Inside or outside Gaspar dislikes the cold and even prefers slightly warm temperatures over slightly cool ones even dressing to let more sun hit his skin at times, this dislike for the cold stems from a natural disposition that was only exemplified as he became draconic, more mental than anything the feeling of the coldness on his skin and scales itches and irritates him and more often than not do what he can to warm himself up.
 • Sasan-Despite it being his home and where he keeps his loyalty he would prefer to never live or set home there again, instead of wishing to explore the world and take it all in. This is a dislike for the location itself, and an opinion formed from years of feeling restricted and trapped there a fate he once cosigned himself too, but now something he see's as a last possible option for him.

Aspirations: While almost redundant in nature the only real aspiration Gaspar has is to find a purpose for himself. Knowing that life in Sasan is too restrictive and there's more out there for him the world he wishes to make or find a reason for himself, living without any real desire for a long period except to escape Sasan now that he has the chance he wants to explore and take the world in for himself so he can decide where his place is in it, and what he truly wishes to do. For most people, this might seem a bit shortsighted but for Gaspar there was too much unknown, too much to see, taste, experience, and even collect. His only true goal to find a living, to find an even greater aspiration.
Phobias/fears: Almost seemingly obvious to a point the only thing that instills fear into Gaspar is pure darkness, but rather than the lack of sight that bothers him it is the lack of being unable to know or observe what is going on around him. This loss of control making him a bit neurotic as it instills the same uncomfortability of sensory overload. However, this fear of darkness spreads further into sensory deprivation as the more of his senses he loses track of or the more he is unable to perceive the more the fear spreads into him. While as a child this manifested as yelling and uncomfortable fits after he became larger and a partial light dragon this irrational fear became more aggressive, whenever he feels he can't see or feels like he's going into sensory deprivation he enters a fearful rage lashing out as furiously as possible and even emitting his breath attack as much as he can in an attempt to shed light.

Height: 196 cm
Weight: 110 kgs
Appearance:
While before the mutation he was simply a broad-framed teen with warm cocoa skin, shimmering green eyes, and silky raven hair, but soon after even though he found his physique strengthened and his most of his appearance altered. His hair inverted from a deep black to shimmering iridescence and pearl parted by sharp obsidian horns, and his once singularly green eyes were now a brilliant mixture of green and gold that shimmer in the same way as a well-cut gem. While his skin was still the same hue parts of his body were covered in glistening scales that reflected light and appeared to be made of crystal. However, his hands were completely covered as they became larger, turning into draconic claws with the bones in his hands even becoming larger to reinforce the intimidating visage of them. Along with his claws, the other fully scaled part of his body is a long, and thick tail lined with fluffy down the same color as his hair with a feather fan tail-tip to match. Having a broad frame and a reserved personality Gaspar generally keeps to himself, even in how he stands and interacts with others, not moving much in conversation and trying to hide his own motives while watching others. Instead of relaxing normally he often crosses his arms and leans against walls, tables, counters, his own hands, and etc. Though he always appears to be watching, his ears twitching and pupils pacing the area around him his foot tapping when he's anxious to move. His general casual wear after his change became that of loose training pants and sleeveless tops to let the sun on his scales, and generally a ribbon of sorts to tie his hair. For combat, however, he wears a modified outfit of the standard Sasan Knight armor. With less plated armor he wears a leather chest piece and grey assassin styled robes with golden bronze lacing and a traditional knight feather and gem ornament on the tip of the hood.WIth limited armor around his arms and shoulders, it is made of cut pieces of grey Sasan armor. Even the heavy treads of the knight have been replaced with padded shoes that muffle movement as well as provide ample protection.
History:
Time and place are always important factors in life, but the time it is most important for a person would have to be at their birth and for Gaspar he was born the sixth son and ninth child in a family of fourteen children in Sasan. His father, Behdad was a foreman for the mines and despite being a pious man made it to a higher social standing due to his greed which he concealed through his more legitimate practices. While all the siblings share a father Gaspar's first five siblings have a different mother, Dorri, a devout woman from a proud Sasan lineage of scholars and members of the church. However, after she died giving birth to her fifth child it sent Behdad into a reclusive depression for a year, before eventually deciding to marry again knowing that it was practical and what was expected of him as a young healthy follower of Solomon. However, instead of courting another woman from a different powerful family with the risk of conflict amongst his children due to different bloodlines his new wife would come from one of the poorer neighborhoods, Khina, a Sasan born songstress whose ancestors came from a different land she was a tall beauty who dazzled him at first sight and first song they would eventually marry bringing him more kids and her a taste for motherhood.

While he was young and just learning of his wonders of the world Gaspar was already aware of his numerous older siblings who were more adept and talented and his quickly appearing younger siblings who were doted on, but rather than feel bitter and lash out he enjoyed the relative peace, only receiving occasional attention from his parents other than the singing lessons with his mother he sought out on his own time. Schooling was mandatory for all of them, but the only extra lessons or activities they participated on were based on interest and talent. Their family had a decent amount of money and could pay for plenty of things, however, there wasn't enough for them all to take additional lessons and as a result, Gaspar who had no real interests and just preferred to watch people or play alone in nature wouldn't go beyond what was deemed necessary schooling.

Feeling like his family was everything yet also feeling like he didn't fit in but instead faded into the background he often found himself separating himself and secluding himself in places he could be alone, but still see where everything was. For a young Gaspar the most peaceful place he knew was a tree that was near his home, legend had it a knight from decades ago brought it back from a great crusade and planted it there, from its top branch he could see his home and most of the people of Sasan going about their daily life. However, the most important thing was that birds nested in the branch he liked to sit on and watch the sunset. It was there he made his first friend, while he didn't know what type of bird it was he could remember its verdant plumage and the sweet song they sang together.

For some of the other children in the neighborhood, Gaspar who was a small child was rather odd for both his appearance and the way he spent his alone time, rather than learning more of Solomon or playing knights he sat in a tree singing with a bird. This unconventional attitude causing them to be rather harsh with teasing, calling him names and harassing him with rocks it all culminated for him when one night he stayed out longer than usual and they chose to jump him, wrapping him up in a tent and shoving him in a box. While they had no intent on letting any serious damage befall him Gaspar slowly started to lose his mind as he couldn't see, hear anything, or move much, he screamed continuously to the point his throat was searing with pain.

It was only a few minutes but soon enough his harsh cries reached the ears of two of his older siblings, his second oldest half brother, and his oldest brother were nearby on their way home from training when they came across their brother being bullied by older kids, and even after they freed him and beat up the kids Gaspar was wailing and flailing even giving his brother a black-eye before he eventually calmed down.

Despite no incident after this, it left a sour taste Behdad's mouth seeing this happen to his own son and as Gaspar started to mature he hit a growth spurt going from the smallest to the largest and strongest frame of all the children, While his mother was tall she was toned and curvaceous while his father had a rugged and built frame from generations of physical laborers this had become obvious as a previously uninteresting child became a center of attention. However, as Gaspar still showed no interests and his other siblings were already enrolled in programs that they budgeted for Behdad decided to set his son on a course for him.

When he turned sixteen years old his father pressured him into a job at the mines where he could put his durable physique to work and might even make the same journey to wealth as Behdad had. Though his time there might've seemed bad for his fear of the complete dark he often had light and would take to the solitude of the mines, tolerating it for the small treasures he found which he could hide and keep for himself.

Time passed and Gaspar became an adult working in the mines with no real promotion while his siblings were already members of the church or knights who had taken up post after finishing their training, it seemed like any greater purpose had become nothing but a fleeting dream, It was when he was the last miner there and even the foreman, his father had gone home that he had come across someone who claimed to be from Sasan and could offer him a path to greater meaning, to become something greater. He hesitated at first, but eventually, he accepted and was knocked unconscious.

His memory of the experience was haze, but the searing memory of pain as he was experimented upon by The Brotherhood he soon found his strong frame, his greed, and his internal light manifested by fate or coincidence into a Half-Dragon of Light. With light bellowing from his maw and rage filling his heart he was knocked unconscious once more before being awoken by his father who found him inside of the mine. With his face and appearance still obvious through his mutation, his father felt fear, awe, and use for his draconic son he dragged him back to his home in silence.

Through the aid of his father's money and the influence of his brother's in the military Gaspar was taken in to be trained into a knight, after all a dragon of light was righteous and a true weapon of Solomon even if it was still a beast. Sensitive from his transformation and greedier for the outside world he was initially resistant until he learned there was an opportunity to leave Sasan and a long lost dream of exploring the outside world and finding a greater purpose flooded in and his mind was suddenly changed.

Thinking of it merely as a tool to achieve the one thing he really desired Gaspar dedicated himself to an Assassin style of knighthood for his skills in observation and subversion with light, the stoic man, and a stoic dragon he kept training himself to be ready for the day he could leave Sasan.
Role-Play Sample:
From the tales, his siblings had told him about their training in the military Gaspar had already known that it was going to be rough while he trained. However, he was unprepared for the real brutality that he had been placed under from the combination of the practical yet "Kill them and see who survives" type of trainers and the scrutiny/fear that stemmed from him being draconic. Even if he knew he was like them from birth he still found himself beat and poisoned daily to strengthen his body, set atop spike pits only balancing on one toe with his heavy tail as the only thing to balance himself.

Tonight it was too much though, Gaspar wasn't asleep yet but instead, he had snuck out of the room to spend some time getting used to his power on his own, his breath attack proving to be the most difficult thing to master. His decision to go armorless was noted by the people stalking him, his only clothing the cotton shirt and pants the trainees were given to train in before they earned their robes. They also waited until he had sat his training weapon down and went to grab something else before they moved into position, ready to show him why he was just a beast, a weapon. "It's impolite to sneak up on others." His words surprising the students in the shadows as he spoke without looking from his training dummy.

"I know I'm big, but you guys are lou-" Gas tried to give a small one-liner but before he could finish they chose to attack without letting any of the intimidation factors work on them. First, the two hiding right in front of him moved from behind the pillars rushing with rope and the three behind him came with a chair. Thinking they were going to restrain him or hit him with the chair he thought to get the first moving in to claw them so he could try and get to his weapon. He knew there was one more based on their smell but it hadn't occurred to him until they dropped down pulling a rather large bag around his head, one made of tough enough silk for his horns to only scrape against them feebly.

It only took a few moments but he felt a bo staff striking his spine and a cry muffled against his lip as he sunk his fang down into the brown flesh. With him disoriented and unable to see he was kicked into the chair and before he could move he felt rough burning against his skin as they roughly pulled rope around his torso, legs, and his neck as they restrained him. His muffled cries asking what was going on was soon drowned out however as they dipped the chair slowly and his head was lowered underneath an overflowing pump.

His ears popped and he couldn't see as he started to drown unable to speak even more as the water seeped through the fabric and it clung to his head fitting and forming to his bust. He couldn't handle it as his sore body began to flail around his tail knocking one of them aside before the chair fell to its side with an echoing thud of the chamber, he was in the bathroom it seemed but that didn't matter as he opened his mouth, but not in attempt to cry for help as instead light billowed out from his maw the bright light searing through the mask and blinding the two whose eyes were directly in his path. He flailed until the chair broke, but no matter what his breath kept bellowing out as his jaw almost seemed to go unhinged.

The once round pupils that floated amongst a sea of gold and green were now cut by a fierce diamond as the draconic eyes became dilated in the same way a cat's would in a state of aggression. He was a beast to them right, a dragon scourges things by nature and assassin kills by nature so why not show them he was both, this being the only thought in his head as he turned his head spreading letting the light cut across the room burning the stone and flesh of any he hit as he tried to regain his sight.

It did return soon enough and as the fuzz focused in he saw ones his teachers sitting in the archway to the baths, he was smirking, it was cold and even though he knew that everyone else here tonight had hated him he couldn't read him at all, whether he hated him or approved of what Gaspar had done in defense it was unknown, he only smirked slowly clapping his hands as he walked out the room laughing a cold dead laugh.
